Lizzie - Hadn't really thought too much about my caffeine intake. Obviously i'm aware that i should not have too much, but i think i'm on about 4-5 cups of coffee a day. Perhaps i should cut this down a bit?

hi everyone, no doubt i'm forgotten due to my lack of post (oh yes! it's hectic geeting used to three children) however we are so happy, it's all wonderful!

yes still breastfeeding, expressing and topping up with EBM and formula in a bottle. The tube has finally gone!!

Lizzie - Glad im not the only one who enjoys the vino. Am thinking of having a baileys later too. Haven't had one of those since October last year!!!

Loopy - I've just looked at the instruction CD again and you can put them in so many different positions!!! I'll wait til Ellie's had a nice big feed and then she'll be calm enough for me to mess around by putting her in and out of the sling.

WRT booze affecting the taste - i think either way Ellie's not bothered because she's still a fussy mare alot of the time even if i've NOT had wine!

DJarm - sorry you've had a nightmare night. Hopefully it's just a growth spurt and Daniel will settle again soon, eh?

Easy - so glad you are happy! Babies are great, aren't they?!

Bed time routines - What do you guys do re putting babies to bed?? I know that some of you give baths and a feed before "bed" but how do you do bedtime? Do your LOs sleep in their moses basket during the day and then you put the basket inside the cot at night time, whether it's inside their own room or in yours? Ellie's cot is in her room (no room in our room for it!) but dont really know at what age to start putting her in her own room. I know this has probably been discussed before, but i really do have to remind myself that Ellie isn't even three weeks old yet. Seems like she's been around forever!!! (wouldn't have it any other way!)

Well, after a crap night last night, we have had quite a good day.... he slept nearly all morning, was awake but happy all afternoon and then witching hour started. He was HORRID! Wouldnt settle no matter what I did. Ended up giving him a bath, and snuggling him up and taking him to bed, he fed for a few minutes and is now sound asleep on my bed! Have put pillows around him so he doesnt roll off, not that he really rolls anyway!

So, fingers crossed after being awake for nearly 5 hours I wont hear much from him for a few hours! And when he does wake, ill feed him lying down again and hope he goes back to sleep fairly quickly!

DJ - sorry you've had such a pants nights.Hope it goes better tonight.

RG - I've only bathed T once, he hated it so much I shan't be doing it again for a while. A good top and tail seems to suffice.
I feed to T in our bed with the lights low and talk v gently to him before bed. It seems to calm him. He generally sleeps for about three hours. When he wakes up he is impossible to put back in his basket . Dunno why but he seems to hate it. Last night he slept on my chest. I'm seeing the HV tomorrow and I'm going to ask her about co- sleeping . I'm not keen but it's the only way I'm going to get any kip.

Easy - good to hear from you again. Glad all is going well.

DH has to go back to work tomorrow We've had such a lovely time I don;t want him to back.

Better go , his lordship is squawking. XX

Loopy - Watching Top Gear is enough to send anyone to sleep!!! Honestly tho, i have a compulsion to turn the tv over every time it's on now as it's always bloody on and i'm sick of the sound of Jeremy Poxy Clarkson's voice!!!

LOM - i think Ellie likes her bath as long as the water is hot enough and doesn't leave her feeling cold.

DH is back at work on Xmas Eve???? That sucks!!!

Have to go, madam is calling!

Well it didnt last long, ended up settling in his car seat, is starting to stir now though so will take him up to bed and hope he feeds and then sleeps.

I have a sleepy Callum laying on my chest, he is so cute He has thrush in his mouth atm, and is still a grumpy ole man with it. DH is loving the fact that he can now feed him with EBM and formula in a bottle (I fully recommend the NUK bottles BTW) it still upsets me seeing him having formula but it does seem to be working, and hopefully we can drop the topups soon.

hope Callum's OK with the thrush.

LOM, good to hear your news - Rebecca didn't like her basket to start with but now she does, so you might like to persevere as well as co-sleep.

RG, Rebecca loves the bath but hates being dried... intensely...

We went out for lunch yesterday to some friends and then onto my parents where my brother and his wife are staying. Came home for supper. Today we're going back to my parents at some point but am not sure exactly when. And it's Christmas! I'm wrapping frantically - desperately behind.

Rebecca is fine, doing a lot of smiling and a lot of pooing!

morning all

well daniel fed at 11pm, 1am, 2.30am and then slept til 6am! I deffo think we are still in the midst of a growth spurt because he is also on his 3rd feed of the morning now!

fingers crossed for a quieter night tonight!
