Do you all think it would be dishonest to use a photo of me 6 yrs ago when I was 27 on Facebook. You know, looking healthy, not tired and carefree? Not sallow and frazzled?

I am sicking of seeing a ? as my face.

justbeme · 18/10/2007 14:13

Afternoon!
Hi Foxy Glad DS is home - hope he is on the mend.

Im abit annoyed -
my onelife nappies from ebay arrived - they were advertised as brand new but washed - Im sure theyve been used as theres little bobbles around the cuffs (slightly coloured by other fabrics from wearing)
I didnt want second hand nappies - only new ones for L - so when I email the seller later - what shall I do?
Either say im returning them and want a refund (but I'd lose 2 lots of postage?)
or say I'll keep them as they are in ok condition but need a refund of X to compensate for the fact that theyre not new?
Also she charged £5 for postage and it was only £1.92 - I think £3 for petrol and time is abit excessive.
I paid £24.08 inc postage.
Oh also if they are new they should have a booster inside - and they dont.

foxystein · 18/10/2007 14:17

Hi JBM, hope you are well. Seems like ages since we've 'spoken'. If it were me, I'd probably return them, asking for a refund, but offer to split the postage 50:50. Sounds like you are doing her a favour then.

Thanks Els, its much easier when they are younger. DS1 had his first op at 2 years old. Yesterday was his 4th. Fingers crossed there is no more. His was about half-way down. Its definately harder with the tubes and things this time.

Elsbells · 18/10/2007 14:19

Ohhh JBM, see if you can get some money back. That is crap!

Elsbells · 18/10/2007 14:21

OMG Foxy DS has had 4 ops? OUCH. I hope this is your final one. The whole going under GA scares me.

Well my DS is clinging to my knees so better entertain him before he wakes DD.

Spk soon all.

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 14:22

sorry foxy my mistake - not the same thing. He had a bendy willy. But yes he will need surgery on it.

Els - nothing - I am doing the photography as a gift

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 14:26

JBM That happened to me and gives me rage!

I would return them if you are unhappy as a refund isn't going to get you the boosters is it? GRRR sellers like that make me MAD. If you can't just be honest....!!!

If she declines I would pursue the 'items significantly different' route on paypal/ebay and get your money back!

I have a bit of ebay rage now, I shall go back in my box.

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 14:44

oh bollox have I scared everyone off again?

You only need to meet me, I am very nice really, I promise, I just get scary sometimes but it passes very quickly....

LittleMissNorty · 18/10/2007 15:17

You haven't scared anyone off Fury ....school pick-up time....and unusually I'm sitting around doing nothing but cuddling my poorly DD! Got loads to do though and I'm watching some crappy quiz show!

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 15:28

oh good!

How are you LMN? Your poor DD, it's hard enough when you're an adult but a poorly LO must be tough

riabutterflew · 18/10/2007 15:35

not unjustified in your rant fury. people should be honest.

poor LO LMN.

I don't know what to advise re ebay jmb, I paid about £5 over the actual postage for something, so I emailed the seller to check and they ignored me. my sister got bad feedback for complaining about postage.

we are off to school in 5 minutes. i feel ill...

OP posts:
riabutterflew · 18/10/2007 15:37

should I take LO so if it gets nasty I can whop out a boob and feed him, so scaring the teachers?

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 15:39

trick for getting good feedback on postage.

I sell everything as P&P included. That way I never have to worry about it. Plus I can send it 2nd class and get thought of as 'a bit tight' but by not overcharging I am never thought of as 'a thieving cow'

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 15:40

if the P&P is too much on big things I ask to arrange my own courier, they'll do it for a fiver.

LittleMissNorty · 18/10/2007 15:46

Good tips re P&P Fury....

Ria - probably already gone...but hope it goes ok x

Fury, I'm ok thanks....DD isn't too bad, she's taking her food which is the main thing! She sounds like Darth Vader though - especially while she's feeding...its horrible. So when I finally can get some ABs down her, I'm told to expect some diaorrhea...oh great

dogtanian · 18/10/2007 15:47

WOOHOO! My free local paper just arrived...with a free full size bar of galaxy! I'm off to scoff it in the kitchen so my dd doesn't see!! I'm a mean mummy!

HellHathNoFury · 18/10/2007 15:51

Holly you rock

I eat choccies all day, my office is brimming over with doughnuts, celebrations, toblerones etc on a daily basis.

I am trying to be strong though and stick to my diet.

LittleMissNorty · 18/10/2007 15:52

I'm very lucky really.....what did I do to get such a lovely laid back baby.....?

she did scream the place down at the GPs as when I asked for a bottle to be warmed up, the fucking receptionist looked at me like I was asking for something I shouldn't...no baby facilities FFS, can you believe it. I got my bottle warmed in a mug of water out the kettle (don't have a microwave apparently) which turned it from "fridge cold" to "cold" and DD wouldn't have it....so I let her fucking scream! Amongst all the sly looks and sympathetic glances, one woman said to me...oh dear has she got ear-ache? Errrmmm, no, she is hungry!

I going to complain to the PCT....BHS and other shops have great facilities, but your GP surgery (where, lets face it a new mum spends a fair amount of time just hanging about for fun) can't even warm a fucking bottle up!!

sorry girls.....turned into a bit of a rant

LittleMissNorty · 18/10/2007 15:54

that's what I would do Holly as well

justbeme · 18/10/2007 16:13

sorry disappeared - neighbour popped in!
Ill let you know how i get on with ebay seller - i reckon she didnt include boosters cos they were stained or something.

Why would they be giving away free choccie?
I reckon the newspaper boy fancies you and it was a pressie!!

andiem · 18/10/2007 16:31

jbm bad news re nappies ask for your money back

holly fab re choc I would be hiding it too and scoffing it somewhere

lmn I would complain to the pct GPs earn enough to equip their surgeries

dogtanian · 18/10/2007 16:39

You rock too TA! Diets are for the weak!

I bloody well hope the newspaper boy doesn't fancy me, he is about 60 and a cross eyed, webbed footed imbred! I do love him for giving me free chocolate though!

LMN, how does a GP's surgery not have a microwave?! What do the staff warm their lunch up in?

JBM, email the seller, explain you aren't happy and see what she wants to do. SHe may give you a partial refund as it will be easier for her, but if you want a full refund she should pay the postage both ways. It is her fault she sent you shoddy goods and you shouldn't have to be out of pocket.

justbeme · 18/10/2007 16:49

Lol Holly re the paper "Boy"!

Ive emailed her - lets see how we get on

riabutterflew · 18/10/2007 17:48

thanks for the good wishes. 45 minutes in the heads office later I couldn't tell you what was decided, but I didn't dry. Typically the action was taken without the full story, DS1 wasn't completely to blame. I think his teacher thought it was a silly waste of time (in a good way iyswim)
but we've done our bit and confirmed that we aren't encouraging him to be "challenging". the dyslexia tests are going to happen soon (not bloody quickly enough).

phew.

I need a stiff drink.
