have scanned the posts..

bethoo-i second what everyone says about HV's.Elsie hasnt been weighed since she was 9 weeks old.come to think of it,dd2 hasnt been weighed since she was 12 weeks old and she's nearly 23months now.the developmental reviews are a load of old crap,i think they are only necessary for intellectually challenged parents who give 8 month olds fruit shoots and sausage rolls instead of milk.i think most mothers would know if there was something wrong.
i spoke to my gp about Elsie's lack of milk consumption in the past month(she has gone from 25oz a day to 12-15oz a day)and i was told to give her less solid food to see if she would take more milk!(i had already tried that, though,as i know milk is more important than food at this age).

mossy-snoosnoo is fine.its a line from futurama if you didnt already know, when fry,kif and zap brannigan are sentenced to 'death by snoo snoo' on the amozan women-only planet.it fits with my 'women are superior' mentality atm.

on that note i think i will go over to facebook and look at your link!

btw,how can you tell who is online?

guyfoxsetsparlaimentalight · 02/11/2007 21:28

hiya snoosnoo LOL at giving fruit shoots to a baby

Kitty I cannot wait until all my kids are old enough to clean their own bums and unblock their own rockt poos from the toilet bend

Piffle · 02/11/2007 21:58

fox my ds is 13 and still cannot flush his sodding wee every day...

guyfoxsetsparlaimentalight · 02/11/2007 22:13

Piffle - yeah but that's a man thing isn't it?

FireworksScareMossyPets · 02/11/2007 22:30

Well I met my Dad today... and it went just great! It was lovely to see him again, a bit weird though. Felt a bit emotional afterwards. I have missed him rather a lot.

Yes! I remember that episode, and basically death by snoo snoo is where they shag them to death isn't it? Lol

What link are you looking for on FB? I'm confused?

Dh has come over and is messing with my typing so I'll come back tomorrow!! Plus I am knackered and just about ready to go to bed tbh...

Rosylily · 03/11/2007 08:22

Had a great time in cork...travelling always awful though. Have read the thread..

Mossy, fantastic to read about your Dad! Cider is definately very fattening...(been there done that put on 1 1/2 stone when discovered cider at uni....)

Snoosnoo rofl that you change your name to be more positive so you call yourself death...good one...

Bethoo, agree health visitor talking pure rot. Hayden and you look fabulous.

Piffle Finn chasing vacuum very cute...he can really go in that walkie!

My ebay feedback seems to be 56! I seem to have a buggy fettish...went right off the loola, can't push with one hand and bits keep falling off it...it needs a thorough service and then to be sold at second hand shop down the road!
I bought a single emmaljunga stroller from ebay and it is the best!

Well yesterday I managed to allow my precious baby to fall down stairs thankfully he only fell a few steps and was okay, no thanks to his failure of a mother. He is really not well either, high temperature and bad cough. So he is miserable and totally not himself.

I'm tired with a headache today..off to drink water....

Evenhope · 03/11/2007 09:22

Rosy my precious baby pitched herself headfirst off the mat at Toddlers yesterday, landing on her face and screaming the place down Must have been the day for it. She then spent the evening just screaming and screaming while I worried whether I should have taken her to A&E.

This morning she is all smiles.

kittycrackles · 03/11/2007 10:15

I just went to see if Ronnie was ok in the room I left him in.... he wasn't there! Gone! He'd made his way into the little girls' bedroom.
As predicyed he is happier now he can crawl.
At bloody last.

Good news about your dad mossy.

Glad you're enjoying cork Rosy. I remember when dd3 fell down the wooden cellar stairs, she had been at the bottom for ages before I realised she'd fallen down (very bad mother)

FireworksScareMossyPets · 03/11/2007 10:18

Bethoo I'm thinking of starting a slow weight gain support thread, seeming as there are quite a few Mums in the same boat it seems... if I do, wanna join me?

Rosy, so glad you enjoyed your time in Cork!! Oh isn't it horrible when you drop them... I will never forget falling over with Bertie in the sling. Or the other week in fact when he was sitting by himself and I turned my back for literally two seconds and in that time he'd seen something in front of him just out of reach, went to grab it and fell flat on his head ...

Luckily a few sucks of magic juice and he was right as rain. You feel like such a bad Mum though don't you...

... but you know, if the worst thing that happens to little Hasan is a little bump down the stairs, he's not doing too badly!!

Evenhope how is your dd today?

I'm going to dig out my other thread to update the nice people who posted about my Dad.

FireworksScareMossyPets · 03/11/2007 10:33

xposts Kitty glad Ronnie's happier now he can crawl... hopefully Bertie won't be far behind and it will cheer him up too!!

FireworksScareMossyPets · 03/11/2007 10:34

Here is my thread about meeting my Dad

Calliween · 03/11/2007 15:32

Mossy - so glad it went well for you with your dad. Hugs.

Bethoo, second what everyone else has said about Hayden. If you are worried get a paed referral, but definitely don't bf less in the meantime.

Hello all, one day will get chance to post properly.

CallietherineWheel · 03/11/2007 15:35

Quick name change b4 it's too late!

FireworksScareMossyPets · 03/11/2007 17:00

Bethoo, come and join us on our slow weight gain support thread

Piffle if you could drop by at some point with your helpful story I would be really grateful (will reply to your FB message btw don't worry I'm not ignoring you!!).

bethoo · 03/11/2007 20:56

Mossy - of course i will join you, if us paraniod mothers can not reassure us who the heckers will? certainly not the bloody HVs! let me know when you start it.
must go as at parents house with dp who i feel will not be after this weekend! speak on monday when back at work! my boss is a godsend!LOL

DeathBySnooSnoo · 03/11/2007 21:06

mossy-great to hear things went well with your dad..

rosy-the death of a man is always a positive thing when one has PMT

i wont bother going to the slow weight gain thread,as the only thing i would be able to add is that HV's do indeed talk out of their chuff boxes half the time, unless you are very very lucky (like i was with ds2)and get one who actually knows what they are talking about.

the first HV i ever had was informed(confidentially)by my CPN that i was in a violent relationship, and the next time she came round she made it very obvious to xp that she knew, which was rather stupid of her.

DeathBySnooSnoo · 03/11/2007 21:08

bethoo-x-posts.hope everything is ok x

Evenhope · 03/11/2007 22:20

Ronnie's crawling- wow

DD is fine today. She just pinched my Britvic 55 and the shock on her face as it fizzed on her tongue was hilarious.

guyfoxsetsparlaimentalight · 03/11/2007 23:15

Hi Grrls

Mossy read your thread - I am so glad it went well When do ou see him again?

Kitty - little cutie Ronnie is crawling I bet he's so pleased. LOL at him sneaking off though! Did you talk to anyone about his neck since we met?

Rosy - IKWYM - Monti has fallen off the bed twice - I felt so awful. trouble is, you can't be everywhere at once and its hard when DP's are not around, to do everything and be a good Mum to all the children. I can just about manage to be a crappo one

We went up to Richmond Hill tonight and watched the fireworks across London, glass of chilled wine in hand, DC's had a fine time. It reminded me of an Italian Promenade - early evening, families dressed up, lots of kids around, buzzy lively atmosphere - lovely.

Anyone else doing fireworks or going to see an?

kittycrackles · 04/11/2007 08:58

hello
Foxy, I did make an appt with the dr but then cancelled it as I've noiticed that his head has straightened up alot since he's been moving around and hopefully it will continue to do so.
sadly DD3 has taken to attacking him at every single opportunity.
Yesterday when mil was 'in charge' she got to him twice. He has a scratch over an eyelid, a gouge out of the side of his nose and another big on on his forhead. Poor little lad.

DD3 is child from hell atm. We have to shut the kitchen door everytime we leave as she moves chairs around, gets into food drawers, opens jars, throws knives around. I hate this phase of development.
I think she's so funny in many ways but she really needs her own adult.
She starts preschool in Jan so hopefully that'll wear her out a bit.
She used to be such a kind and gentle child .

Sorry it's all me, me me this morning.
Your fireworks do sounded luverly, we're going to do a little something with the kids tomorrow at home. The Lewes firework are far too 'lively'

kiwibella · 04/11/2007 10:26

morning mamas!

Little Ronnie is learning quickly - soon he will be fast enough to zoom away from his big sister. Her age / stage sounds difficult.

Mossy... I am so pleased that you had an enjoyable time with your Dad and it was so easy to pick up again. The similarities between your mum's experience breast-feeding and yours are curious.

Yeah... I was also impressed with how quickly Finn gets about in his walker. The little things that amuse our babies are so funny.

Glad that you had a good trip to Cork, Rosy. How's your dh doing??

We were driving home last night and enjoying seeing the sky lit up with many colourful fireworks from the warmth of our car . It is such a pretty time of year!

guyfoxsetsparlaimentalight · 04/11/2007 21:26

Hiya

Kitty - Ronnies neck will probably straighten itself out then won't it? I sometimes look at Monti and he always seems to be sort of cured up in a hunch but I guess when he learns to stand he'll stop hunching LOL!! How did the fireworks go?

We have a few measley sparklers for tomorrow and will invite one of DS1's friends back so they can get hysterical together

Hi Kiwi how are you?

Rosy - I have had pirate running after me!!! . Glad you had a good time in Cork - yeah how is your DH now?

I must go over to Iteland soon - I haven't been here for year, which is really sad. I knwo several people I could visit but I seem to suffer from complete inertia most of the time and can't motivate myself to organse anything at all apart from the school run and getting to work and back
Moss I think you could have a really good relationship with your Dad as it will be on your terms now. It will be lovely for him and Bertie to get to know each other. I think its heathly to change the tems of your relationship with parents when you have your own children. Does that make sense?

DeathBySnooSnoo · 04/11/2007 22:25

kitty-my dd2 seems to be emerging from that stage now.for about 2 months she kept randomly attacking Elsie ans everyone else.i think she was having a learning spurt though as all of a sudden i seem to be able to have full conversations with her,she is coming out with 4-5 word sentences and saying about 6 new words every day.

oh no,another saggitarian gobshite

i had a bad mum moment on friday evening.i forgot to put my razor away and dd2 cut a large chunk of finger off.it bled for about 12 hours.

kittycrackles · 04/11/2007 22:35

Deathby... DD3 is frequently found wielding large, very dangerous bread knives, trying to make her own sandwiches .
She is physically very able but has only just started to talk, she'd just started 2 word phrases like "where noo noo?". I know it is partly her frustration, but she also has the devil in her. I said to dp that asbo has lost her crown!!

How ar e things at home with you? I must check in that FB pmt group. I reckon I could do with support. I reckon I had pmt for about three weeks. I don't want to go through that every month

Rosylily · 05/11/2007 07:41

Hahahah, it's so reassuring to come on here and see that mine is not the only mad house!

Snoosnoo your facebook updates are endlessly entertaining

Dh is doing great..he's a stone lighter than me now (must get back to my slimming!)
He is starting to come to terms with his new self and is getting fit.

Last night we were all woken at 3.30am by drilling on the railway nearby There is always something.

Foxy I know what it's like,,it's hard enough to accomplish a normal day never mind visiting and travelling. I have people to visit over there too....in-laws and college friends.
Eventually I'll make it over and maybe make it to a meet up while I'm at it! but for now I can hardly get everyone dressed and fed and this house is a chaotic nightmare.

I haven't manage to get sorted or unpacked all weekend because Hasan was so unwell I couldn't put him down and I had a headache all weekend...moan, moan, whitter, moan...
