@mrssunshinexxx don't apologise, of you need to get things of your chest here is good place to do it. I haven't started taking the AD's yet, I really need to. In need a wee kick to get out of this funk. I'm hoping to find somewhere for councilling too. Have you thought about that? I do know that Cruse bereavement is very good too.

@SRS1311 iv had Rose in the pushchair part of her travel system for around a month now (she was struggling laying flat in the carrycot because of her reflux), it can be used from birth though. She is on a slight incline and it has a wee head bigger attached too.
You could buy a head hugger/body support cushion for the seat?

Smiffette · 11/10/2020 13:20

@Mj2196 I stopped using the carrycot part a few weeks back, she still fit and it was great when she was asleep but as soon as she woke she would constantly be trying to sit up.
I generally just clip the car seat on now and use that until she's big enough for the pushchair part. Currently I can't do the straps up tight enough on her so it's not really safe. She does have good head control so not worried about that.
She will be 4 months on Tuesday where has that time gone!!
Going to start getting her to nap in her cot next week in readiness for the move in there

Mj2196 · 11/10/2020 13:31

@mrssunshinexxx aw is your lo in a bumbo already? he has good head control I don’t have to hold him in his shnuggle bath anymore . 🤷🏻‍♀️But I had it in my head it was try and lie flat for 6months for spine development, I suppose he could bend his legs for a few more weeks lol

@SRS1311
Umbrella strollers are fab . Dd was in a mamas and papas one at 9months .We are in a first floor apartment ( after Covid delays with our mortgage)My egg pram & the Stairs are killing me on the nursery run everyday ! I would swap but dp will say I told you so 🤣.

Mj2196 · 11/10/2020 13:34

@Smiffette good luck with the cot transition ! he has loads of room in his snuzpod but pushes his feet on the bottom of the pram carry cot and bangs his head on the top constantly.Glad I’m not the only one reverting to the car seat . Jj was 4months on Tuesday it really does fly by doesn’t it 😩

mrssunshinexxx · 11/10/2020 15:24

@Blizy I had some sessions with Cruz when it first happened but I didn't find them helpful I think it was too soon x

mrssunshinexxx · 11/10/2020 15:25

@Mj2196 no they don't need to be kept flat for 6 months
3 months for bumbo and 4 months for jumperoo and plenty of tummy time and 'standing' x

Mj2196 · 11/10/2020 15:42

@mrssunshinexxx ah I mean lay flat in pram until 6months haha x

Cornishbumpkin · 11/10/2020 16:39

We have a mamas and papas ocarro travel system and the pram bit goes completely flat. He's far too big for carrycot so have moved him up to the seat so can lay down for sleeps and sit up to look around. Had a cheeky little photo shoot today with a friend 😁

Blizy · 11/10/2020 18:21

@Cornishbumpkin he is far too cute! I have the Ocarro too, I love it.

mrssunshinexxx · 11/10/2020 18:45

Ah sorry 😂 @Mj2196 no same again to move up if they have good head control x

Magpiefeather · 11/10/2020 18:58

We’ve got the bumbo out today too. DS is 3 months and he loves it! He looked so pleased with himself sat in his seat. And so grown up all of a sudden. He gets tired after a bit and starts lurching to the side so I don’t leave him in it for long but it’s definitely a hit.

We’ve had an annoying thing happen. Health visitor has been weighing our little boy every two weeks because he has dropped down the centiles. After 6 week check they sent us to the GP who declared him to be fine just growing slowly. He then had his tongue tie snipped and started feeding much better, he stopped dropping down the centiles but has stayed on 9%. Last weigh in was really positive, he’s sticking to his 9% line, HV said she think he has just “found his line”. Everything about his feeding is good now, loads of wet and dirty nappies. He’s alert and strong. Has thigh rolls and a few chins, but is long and lean in the middle. He has great head strength, meeting all milestones, seems content. HV finally agrees he is doing well and says she will leave it a month til next weigh in. I’m thrilled to have that pressure released. Anyway she has to report his weigh ins to the GP, who must have referred him because we have a letter from the paediatrician at the hospital! We have to take him for a check Over when there is honestly absolutely no concern other than he is not following a line on a graph. Hospital is an hour away and it’ll be a right pain in the bum, but obviously we have to do it now. Hoping if we do it’ll finally get them off our backs.

Rant over just needed to vent a bit x

Magpiefeather · 11/10/2020 19:17

Oh and he rolled over today! So that was exciting for both of us (and I think he was as surprised as I was!)

Magpiefeather · 11/10/2020 19:18

Awww @Cornishbumpkin what gorgeous pics!!!

Cornishbumpkin · 11/10/2020 20:49

Thankyou @Blizy and @Magpiefeather Smile

Cornishbumpkin · 11/10/2020 20:51

@Magpiefeather that sounds like a bit of a kick in teeth after what sounds like a lot of hard work on your part

BabyBird20 · 12/10/2020 01:59

Just needed to share that we have very definitely hit the regression!! Crying, cranky baby all day for no apparent reason, fussing and moaning during feeding and pretty much hourly wake ups 😱😱😱 Argh!! Doesn't help that he's outgrowing the sleepyhead in his snuzpod!!

Just reading all your comments on prams, we moved Benji into his stroller part of the travel system at 3 months as he hated the pram. He usually lays flat but loves to be a bit propped up so he can see the world 😊

UKtoSK · 12/10/2020 02:44

@Cornishbumpkin love those photos!

@Magpiefeather Jia is also on the long and lean side but other than when she was a week or so old no one has said anything negative about her weight but I am always worrying about it. I’m curious, what is your baby’s weight and length? Like yours, she’s meeting all her milestones and is usually a very happy baby so my gut tells me she’s fine, just not a very chubby baby, but I also convince myself a lot that something is wrong.

We’re almost a week into the fourth leap and so far we’ve had lots of sleep and little feeding days, poor sleep and lots of feeding days, a sudden hatred of left boob, one night of 8.5 hours of sleep and one night of waking every two hours... I don’t know what to expect from one day to the next anymore! Also finding it hard to recognise her cues again now.

Smiffette · 12/10/2020 11:06

@UKtoSK oh I've had the same with the forth leap... some of her longest stunts of sleep have happened during it but also some terrible nights of waking 6 times!

We have 10 days left now and I'm really hoping we don't jump straight into sleep regression and that instead that's happened as part of the leap as I read it can happen between 3-5 months

Cornishbumpkin · 12/10/2020 11:07

Thankyou @UKtoSK I've found the same that's it's got so much more tricky to read his cues at the moment, feel like back in the newborn days running through the checklist to find out what he wants lol.

He had dropped to only sleeping 3-4 hrs at night but last night gave an amazing 8.5hrs, I feel like a new woman!

SRS1311 · 12/10/2020 12:15

Sounds like some of you might be coming to the end of your fourth leaps / regressions - hopefully there are longer sleeps ahead. Mines 14 weeks today, but 15 weeks from due date so waiting for the regular night wake ups to hit like a steam train! Sad

The temperature has dropped quite a bit now, what does everyone dress their little ones in to sleep? I get worried he's too cold but also dont want him to overheat!

UKtoSK · 12/10/2020 13:00

@Smiffette I’m also wondering if it’s just the leap or if it’s the sleep regression come early... last night she fed every 2-3 hours and also woke up in between. Then today she has refused naps all day. Won’t sleep longer than 5 minutes if I put her down, won’t sleep on me either though, won’t sleep in the carrier... I got 25 minutes out of her in the stroller and three very drowsy feeds that seemed like she was asleep on the boob and that’s it. She seemed perfectly happy to be awake though, and she has learnt some new noises and has been happily babbling away at me all day.

Smiffette · 12/10/2020 13:22

@SRS1311 we've just had new radiators fitted upstairs finally. She was getting really before that in her ears and head as I couldn't cover those up. She was sleeping in a long sleeve vest, babygro, 2.5tog sleeping bag.
Now I've dropped the long sleeve vest in exchange for a short sleeve one and she always seems comfort to the touch

Busylizzie85 · 12/10/2020 15:49

I have one tired upset little girl after her 16 week jabs 🙁 hopefully most of the calpol went in but a lot got spit out through the screaming! She now also has both her two front teeth poking up through as of today 🦷🦷

SRS1311 · 12/10/2020 16:24

@Smiffette how do you find the sleeping bag? Mine is out growing his sleepyhead so need to move onto something else that will hopefully be equally as snuggly for him.

@Busylizzie85 oh wow 2 teeth! You've had everything at once, teeth, injections, regressions - least you get it out of the way!

Busylizzie85 · 12/10/2020 16:26

@SRS1311 haha I know talk about doing things all at once 😳 she has been sleeping better since the teeth came through thank goodness.
