haven't got time to catch up but hello all
leaky, congratulations to your B and SIL - hope everything is OK. It's horrible not knowing, hopefully you will get news very soon

tcmummy · 04/10/2007 21:34

Leaky - thinking of you all especially your SIL and baby Eva Rose. What a beautiful name. No advice or experience of NICU's, but I'm sure she is in safe hands. xxx

Sexonlegs · 04/10/2007 21:38

Leaky, congratulations, and best wishes and thoughts with your sil and family. What a beautiful name.

tcmummy, wow, that is a healthy weight. I so need to get K weighed. I am worried that she is such a little babe.

Right, am going to head to bed. Dh not back from Bonny Glasgow yet, so gonna make the most of the bed. Also, K was groaning a bit earler, so now wondering what sort of night we might have. Apologies, I am eternal pessimist!!

Sleep well ladies AND babies, especially Ffion!!

Mammyjo/Runny, can you think of any nice Welsh boys names? A friend is due a boy next year and they want to call him Edward something (surname is Rogers).

Thx

AuntieMeemz · 04/10/2007 21:39

thinking of baby Eva Rose (beautiful name). Sounds like she is strong and hospital are just being extra careful. Midwife friend tells me this is very common, and NICU is just a precaution)

AuntieMeemz · 04/10/2007 21:42

GMM
for little boys...well we just pull slightly back in the bath and swish it about a bit! DS is now 3, all is fine

zazas · 04/10/2007 21:43

Lesley - thinking of you and your in-laws.
Maveta, this is exactly what happened to me last week (boob not the rain which sounded freaky). Had to work, missed a feed and that night boob was sore just as you described - quick as that. So just fed continuously off it to clear blocked duct, had a warm bath and ran very warm water over it which really helped. Also massaged the place where it was sore although I could hardly bare to touch it. Actually come to think of it - fed too much off that boob as the other one became sore next day - bit of balance is needed. Anyway prevented it from progressing any further which I was chuffed about. Yes as tc says - try and feed with the sore bit near the baby - that helps too.

Must be off I have a report to write and I really should not be on here - tell me to leave if you see me here again!

nappynuttynormabutty · 04/10/2007 21:50

Thinking of your SIL and her baby Leaky x

at the rain Maveta.

@ weight tcmummy, Erin's just a little one and I haven't had her weighed for ages!

Am f'ing fuming here. So first week we ordered veg it was all fine. Second week they didn't deliver. Third week delivered wrong stuff. Fourth week ok. THIS WEEK...it hadn't arrived by midday (had arrived at 8am on 3rd and 4th weeks) so dh rang up cos we were a bit worried after all the hassle we've had. They confirmed it was on the van and would arrive . Still hadn't arrived at 4pm, so dh rang them again...they said it was def on the van but that the driver was not our normal driver and was doing 2 rounds so might be late but we'd def get it. I STILL HAVEN'T GOT IT . ARGHHHHHHHHHH. Won't be getting it from them again.

oooggs · 04/10/2007 21:51

gmm - before I even clicked on your link I knew it had to be that blasted buggy - yes it is very funny

eLviRaMistressOfDarkness · 04/10/2007 21:57

She tried to sell it before offering it for a swap Funny Vicky Pollard comparison.

Off to bed. Hope we sleep. Keep everything crossed for Eva.

Goodnight x

geordiemacmummy · 04/10/2007 21:59

Leaky, thinking of Eva, opefully things will improve tomorrow.

tcmummy · 04/10/2007 22:12

tried to upload a few holiday pics, can anyone see them??

CaptainDippy · 04/10/2007 22:18

Boo! Exhausted so only popping in quickly to say thank you for your thoughts & prayers today Thank you relaying my msg, Ange We are home now & DD1 is safely tuckled up in our bed. God has really been with us today - DD2 & DD3 went down for naps ok this morning, MIL coped ok, DD1 fell asleep for an hr before the surgery after screaming the whole place down for an hr! The anesthetic bit and the "coming round" after the op bits were pretty traumatic to say the least, but apart from that, it has gone well. Too early to say whether it has been a complete success, but eye only looks a little red & bloodshot, DD1 complaining a bit about itchiness & pain; right as rain, if a little tired & groggy. Thank you.

Leaky- Congratulations to your BIL & SIL on thte birth of Eva Rose (gorgeous name ) Just a precaution, I'd say - lots of hugs & prayers from this direction. Let us know when you hear any more. Is SIL ok? Sounds like a pretty traumatic experience. xx

NorthernLurker · 04/10/2007 22:20

I'd seen the sale thread - which was fairly shocking - but this is priceless - unlike the buggy! Thanks for sharing

NorthernLurker · 04/10/2007 22:24

Good to see you back Dippy - excellent news alround. If you're in need of a laugh do have a look at the thread linked to below - I've laughed so much I've woken B up - ooops.

Can I pass on my best wishes for Eva Rose too. Hoping she is out of NICU soon and off home.

tcmummy · 04/10/2007 22:31

Great news Dippy xx

CaptainDippy · 04/10/2007 22:38

Halarious.

Right off to bed with my DH & my brave little soldier!

weepotion · 04/10/2007 22:57

cd - glad it has all went ok. let us know how she gets on in the next few days.

tcmummy - love the pics and yep - check out those thighs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what happened to mr ele or is that a senstive subject?

tcmummy · 04/10/2007 23:07

hey wo, yes, I'm gutted we lost him! T had just worked out how to pull him and make him vibrate! Oh, well, I'm sure it's not the last toy we'll loose. At least T doesn't care

CaptainDippy · 05/10/2007 07:28

Morning! DD1 was evicted to her own bed at about 3am after a bout of copious wriggling!! She & her sis are currently lying in their beds shouting, giggling & talking - so she seems fine this am so far. At 3am, she pointed to her eyes: "This eye hurts & this one doesn't" (she only had one operated on in the end) ...... Awwwwww, poor thing.

Tcmummy - how completely yummy is your little man!!!!!!!? Esp love the pic of him on the plane - what a gorgeous boy - P has soooooo many gorgeous little boyfriends to choose from!!

arethereanynicknamesnotinuse · 05/10/2007 07:49

can anybody help

arethereanynicknamesnotinuse · 05/10/2007 07:49

sorry forgot to change my name back is khin

Sexonlegs · 05/10/2007 08:49

Morning all.

CD, really glad dd1 seems to be ok and that the op has been a success.

Leaky, thinking of your sil and Eva.

Well, I predicted right. For the first time sine she was c 2 months, K was awake at 4.00. Gave her some calpol, even tho she wasn't hot, and tried to sneak out. Ended up giving her milk which she knocked back. Poor starved babe. Perhaps I need to encourage the weaning a bit more.

Unfortunately she woke B up as well, but luckily she went back to sleep quickly.

It was me and dh who couldn't - just ended up thrashing about like beached whales!

So, effing exhausted.

B is deffo going to school today - I need the break !!

Hope everyone is doing ok. xx

MurderousMaveta · 05/10/2007 11:57

Oh leaky how scary for you all, hope little eva rose (soo cute) is soon being cuddled by her mummy and daddy.

tcmummy - love your photos! How did the whole flying thing go? Feeling a little apprehensive about upcoming trip..if you have any hints or tips pls share.. by the way is that the baby gym elephant? I think I've got the same gym, it's Monkey that N is in love with though

Disasters all over the papers this morning though, they were hurricane strength winds and 4 people have been seriouslu injured, one is critical

PSML at that thread!

Back in work today, boob seems recovered [phew] but should express really..

CaptainDippy · 05/10/2007 12:30
