Just popping in if it is of any help:

Oooggs, unofficially I would say not to worry about the dropping milk as long as they seem happy enough and like you say they are getting 3 good meals a day and also milk in breakfast and pudding. You could offer very weak juice/water too just so that they are still getting liquid. Officially they still need (22oz??)milk a day, but two good bottles sounds ok if you ask me which is about that anyway. We are on about the same, and T is huge. . Cows milk at 12 months.

Leaky good to see you . (Was going to ask if you are looking forward to work, but kind of already know the answer to that one!) Have you found somewhere yet for nursery??

SOL Our new routine is pretty much the same as yours but we try to do without the afternoon nap if possible. Makes life, especially with two sooooooo much easier to have routine imo.

OK have been to mothercare today. Had a good look at all the maclarens and have to say that I like the XT techno the best, lurverly and just what I need right now for hoiking LO in and out on the school run. Great value too.

Katy my advice on weaning. Shove 3 square meals into them a day, not all at once of course. One in the morning, once at lunch, one in the evening. . At about eight months introduce things such as toast/rusks/soft fruit/cheese.

Dippy pleased to hear you sounding a bit brighter, remember breeeeeaathe deeply xxx

Octo hope you survived ok with the gang yesterday!

Eddas hows it going with the "diet", I need a good kick up the bum because bit by bit am starting to struggle, swimming 3 times this week methinks! If it helps I didn't weight myself at all, (that is until I knew a lot of weight was gone), because I find it really de-motivating.

HI to everyone else!! Enough time on the pc x

oooggs, i agree, shouldn't worry too much about the dropping milk, they do it when they're ready. I don't think it'll be long before ds starts dropping one or two (we haven't been giving him food for that long yet) I guess some babies drop them quicker, like everything else it varies. My friends baby stopped drinking any bottles at around 7/8months he just refused to drink them so she's had to invent ways to give him milk, hv was concerned but he's her 2nd baby and just started giving him more cheese and yoghurt and stuff. They will definately need some water/diluted juice though. DS so far spits out water! but then I guess he's thinking it should be milk still

Pinions, diet still on track, I can feel some weight has gone. My tummy now doesn't look pg I find as long as my weight falls the weigh ins help me, it is dis-heartening when you've been good but the weights stayed still/gone up. I'm going to have to start some kind of exercise but not sure what or how to fit it in to my day

off to read the rest but wanted to post before I forgot expect about ten posts in a row from me

hey there!!

Back from hols! Hope you're all ok and didn't have toooo much fun without me

Hol was nice. Not amazing, but nice. T was a love and fine on the plane etc, but had a major meltdown every night. Nightmares/waking screaming (do baby's have nightmares????), lots of night feeds, and generally not a happy bunny. I ended up having a stress, worrying what was wrong and if he was hungry/ needed weaning. Cue ad hoc random weaning. Now I'm home and totall confused what to do. Is 23 weeks ok???????? He just sucks (as in his milk reflex) to get stuff off the spoon. Is that what they do at first or am I doing it all too early?? Help someone!

Clearly this has taught me that I'm not ready to parent without MN!

Never going to win housekeeper of the year award
We've lived here for 4 years, I think I've cleaned the oven once, just had a bright idea of cleaning the grill pan with the pressure washer in the garden. My dad tells me that thing can take the top layer off a paving slab and yet it struggled to clean the grill pan

this is what had happened today food/milk wise

Erin 6oz at 4am - Jack 6oz at 6am

8am - Baby cereal with cows milk

12pm - sweet potato & carrot puree, apple & pear puree with baby rice - some melon bits

4.45pm - carrot & parsnip puree - baby rice pudding (packet made with cows milk)

then at 6.30pm with have 6oz milk each

yes you have read that right only 2 bottles of milk

they have wet nappies and at least 3 dirty ones a day each, happy apart from teeth pain and Erin sleeping in cot during day and Jack fighting it but will sleep car/pushchair or cot if cc.

Evening all.
I am just popping in for a bit to have a HUGE very moan.

As some of you know (or all of you) I haven't got much of a life outside the kids at the moment, so about 6 months ago I booked a night off, so i could go out without DH and the kids.
It couldn't have come at a better time, with all the house business that is going on things have been a bit strained with dh and I recently, and the kids as much as i love them have been doing my head in.

So to say the least I was very very very excited about going out for the night last night.
I went into London with my sister, and we went to see my all time favourite band playing.

I had 2 extra tickets and a "friend" of mine who i have been chatting to on facebook said that he would buy the tickets from me for £60, which is what I paid for them.
Well nedless to say that bastard did a really shitty thing to me and didn't turn up, or phone me so I ended up having to sell the tickets for £10!!!
A loss of £50 is a big thing especially when you have 3 babies and 2 mortgages.
So I was pissed at that but I got over it when I got to go backstage and meet the band, which was fantastic I had loads of pictures taken with them and it was great!

Then after the gig we were walking down the road looking at the video and pictures I had taken when a boy ran up to me and snatched the camera out of my hand!!!!!!!

I went up to him and shouted a couple of time " give me my F**KING camera back!"
And he started to shout back at me "back off, back off"
So i thought fuck this I am not risking my life for a camera, so I left him.
then a few of his mates turned up and my sister ran after them to try and take a picture of them, it didn't work but hey.

The thing that really pisses me off is that there were hundereds of people about as they had all come out of the gig and not one person did anything to help.

We called the police and did a drive around with them but had no luck.

I'm not fussed about the camera, it was what was on it that was important to me , there were loads of really special pictures of my kids that I hadn't downloaded.
I know that I can get more but it is the fact that people think it is ok to do that to someone, what BASTARDS!
and no one helped, i would have tripped the bastards up or something.

and the to top thing off the button popped off my trousers

So if anyone wants to SHOUT at the twat who ripped me off (cause I am gonna) he is in my firends on facebook and his name is..................... GORDON HILL so come on ladies give him hell!!!!!!

I hope you all had a good weekend

Oh KHIN at the idiots
such a shame about the pictures You did the right thing though, he could have hurt you, but yes I agree if everyone had helped you could have got your camera back
oooggs, that's what I thought, but apparently they don't! Well it's done now, apart from another scrub at the door (and obv cleaning the hob) that's it until we move

bollocks khin and yes you can get more photos but you can't replace the ones stolen

I am sorry you had a bad time, you rant as much as you like. I know every penny counts (it didn't with ds1) the dts are so expensive as it isn't spread over years it is two at a time and I can sympathise.

On the other hand glad you had a fab time at the gig and got to meet the band - fantastic.

Hope things are on the up, when are you moving, have you sold the current house yet?

tcmummy · 30/09/2007 18:58

khin How awful for you. It makes me sooooo angry when people ignore things like that. How can they!?????!

Report
Pinions · 30/09/2007 19:37

All I would say is that you would know if they weren't getting enough food/liquid/etc. Sounds fine to me as long as they are still having some milk at least, too early to drop altogether but you haven't so thats fine. T will drink milk from a cup but not from a bottle so I am going to wean straight onto a cup alongside his 3 meals a day. .

KHIN OMG!! To look on the bright side you, as the mother of 3 small children are ok, it could have been much worse. What area of London was it?? Treat yourself to an all singing all dancing camera with the insurance and take loads of new pics..

Ellie my love, when you are back we want a full detailed run down of your fab weekend. .

mammyjo · 30/09/2007 19:59

OMG KHIN, that is awful. Cant believe (although actually maybe I can) that no one bothered to try and help you. Still, as others have said, you are ok. I would be gutted about the photos, but better for the children to lose some photos, than their mummy. F**king bastards

Evening all.

KHIN, echo what has already been said. What a bunch of aholes. Which band is it?

tcmummy, good to hear you are back from your hols. Hope T settles for you now you are home.

SPB, hope T is ok after his wasp sting. I dread that sort of thing happening. I am petrified of the things. Can do spiders, but wasps are a big no no.

Pinions, lovely to see you.

Oooggs, wow, 3 poos a day!!!

Hope everyone ok. Off to have a dreadful dinner of chips, bacon and fried egg!!
