Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mum2G · 01/11/2007 10:22

Hi all, lovely pic's! They all look so darned cute i want to cuddle them all!

G at childminders all day today for the first time! I am working from home in case i need to go and pick him up, hopefully he should be fine.

Glad things better MKG, defintately not much more stressful than moving.

Our cat won't come anywhere near G unless she thinks he has got some food!

twelveyeargap · 01/11/2007 17:46

Wooowooo! We've had some forward motion. She's been getting up on both knees, then balancing on one knee whilst she pushes off the other foot. Unfortunately she doesn't have the arms sorted yet and she lands on her chest, but she just does it over again until she reaches what she wants. (In this case one of the damned extension cables.) Think more break-dancing "funky worm" than crawling, but we're nearly there.

largeginandbloodpunch · 02/11/2007 10:17

Clever little thing, she is the first! Woopdewooooops for little A

Mum2G hope he was ok at the childminders yesterday, or more realistically i hope you were ok.

I went out last night, first time alone since my hen night. It was great, i dramk too much vino blanc and ate too much cheese. Nuff said

largeginandbloodpunch · 02/11/2007 10:18

That would be drank not dramk Im not still pissed honest guv

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 02/11/2007 10:46

Morning everyone,

Woo hoo for A TYG, what a clever thing! The photo's are gorgeous, I can't believe her hair, bunches here we come.

Sounds like you had a fun evening lg&t, good for you, how's your head this morning?

My dsis is in for an EVC procedure this morning, I feel like it's me, I have buterflies and I'm very short tempered with the children, I'm really nervous for her?
Cam you asked me for her MN name and I forgot to tell you, it's Muckers, (used to be her nickname as a kid) ooops, sorry sis, lol

Going to test my french this afternoon with one of Harrisons friends over, fortunately H's french is very good now so I might get away with it.

Cam how's J going now with his food?
I still haven't got J going again. She just didn't seem that bothered, she thought it was fun to blow raspberries with it and cover me and grab the spoon off me but she wasn't that interested about the food so I stoped after about 4 days. She's still sleeping 12 hrs with 2 good 2.5-3hr sleeps moring and afternoon, on normally 4 bottles instead of 5. I'm a little impatient though, I made a load of food for her and it's taking up room in the freezer now.

I'm being shouted at throught the monitor by Harrison, "Mum, Jorjy's awake" hehe what joy, ttfn

cameroonmama · 02/11/2007 12:28

Wowwweeee little A, not going to give your mummy a lot of time for relaxing anymore

feeling rough? Was it worth it though?

ooooo good luck for your sis MrsJB, sounds nasty, fingers crossesd it works. J still not interested in his food either. He will eat some cereal at breakfast, but by supper time he is just too tired and at lunchtime he sleeps. I don't think he is suffering though I will keep on with the cereal but perhaps leave the supper time for a bit.

As for H's friend, just give him a sweet whenever he asks you something You'll soon become his favourite.

Ds1 had his audiology appointment and they think he may have a bit of fluid behind his eardrum but it is nothing major, he may grow out of it, but we have to go back and check in a months time and he will see the speech therapist again because I don't think his pronounciation (of certain letters, s, f, sh namely) has got any better. He's not bothered by it, and its quite endearing but it may start to frustrate him in the near future.

Anyone else feeling as tired as I do? Now I am starting to stress about how to sell the furniture and car by the time we go...

Megglevampire · 02/11/2007 12:34

Hello ladies..

I really hope she won't mind me posting this link but Dejags is having an awful time lately and I don't think she would have posted on the PN threads. I feel like a bit of a prat but just wanted to let you know as I think she could do with the support from all of us.

Hope that's ok DJ

here

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 02/11/2007 14:51

Poor djags Sounds like she's having a crap time. Some men just don't get it!

Woooo Hoooo my dsis's little boy has turned! The procedure was sucessful and they are both ok. Fingers crossed he stays head down for an normal delivery.

Geeee 3 5 yr olds are hard work!! The little french lad is very sweet. We also have the nextdoor neighbour over, We've made spiderman cakes and played with the huge train track it's very noisy, so I've sent them out on the trampoline to gather my head again. running out of idear's. Can't bring myself to get the paints and glitter out, not that serious yet! lg&t hats off to you again.

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 02/11/2007 14:54

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 02/11/2007 14:55

Oh hell, I give up, how wubbish am I

aprilmeadow · 02/11/2007 16:49

Congrats to A on being so clever. I am not looking forward to that stage again! Although they do look so cute and pleased with themselves.

G&T hope your head is feeling ok now

MrsJB, thats great about your sis. Haha you sounds like you are having fun at the mansion this afternoon.

Nothing interesting to report here apart from Ella not sleeping due to teething pain. Would like to sleep for a week but have to get ready for the party tomorrow. Kiddies are both in nursery this afternoon, should have got loads of things done but went for lunch with 2 friends from work. Was nice to be able to eat a meal without juggling a bubba.

Anyone got any nice weekend plans?

twelveyeargap · 02/11/2007 17:33

Has dejags thread been deleted? The link doesn't work. Is she ok?

We're done with breastfeeding. Last feed was at bedtime last night. A little sad, and a little relieved. I think trying to mixed feed was confusing her. My boobs are killing me! I expressed just enough last night and this morning to relieve the worst of the discomfort. A seems none the wiser, the cheeky madam. After refusing bottles point blank for the first four months. The latex teats which were the only teats she'd have in her mouth at first had to be scrapped. She seems to suck too hard on them now and "collapses" them and has to release the suck to let the milk fill up. We've gone back to Tommy Tippee and she seems happy with those. She wasn't drinking much last night and today and I think she was getting fed up trying to get the milk out of the bottle. Better luck tomorrow. Hopefully my boobs won't be like footballs then either!

SKYTVMOSTHAUNTEDADDICT · 02/11/2007 19:27

TYG - I read the deejags thread earlier and she had asked for it be to deleted. Poor thing and to think he had the cheek to post on it!!!

Good luck with the boobs!

All ok here, I just realised C hasn't had a bottle for over 3 weeks - I hope he hasn't forgotten how as I'm going to an Anne Summers party tomorrow night and he will have to have one. Its only next door but I'm taking a bottle and not coming back until the end (no matter how hard DP knocks for me!).

DDs gone to their Dads thank god. DD2 had head lice AGAIN and was being extremely hard work again tonight. Her behaviour is atrocious.

DP gone out for chips - I was supposed to be cooking fish pie but have just put the fish in the freezer has time ran out. Too much to do and not enough hours in the day.

Got loads more to post but C moaning on the floor.

twelveyeargap · 02/11/2007 20:25

Oh the poor thing. It must be awful at home for her.

Lice. Argh! Combing, combing, combing. It's the only thing that worked for us in the end, with one of those bugbuster combs.

aprilmeadow · 02/11/2007 20:41

Poor dejags. Hope she is doing ok.

Ewww lice, i had it once and my mum went mad - she was worried that she had it as she had just had her hair permed!

TYG, hope the boobettes arent too sore for you. I am dreading the whole giving up as i know how sore they feel when Ella has slept through! Am glad that A is taking to the bottles better this time round.

juliewoolie · 02/11/2007 20:49

Hi everyone,

didnt get a chance to post earlier but saw some of dejags post - poor girl.

TYG how exactly do you go about stopping the boob, I dont think Archie would mind the bottles but its my boobs I would be concerned about.

Mrs JB how fab the baby turned, fingers crossed it doesnt flip again.

LG&T oh I feel your pain bet you had fun though.

AM have you tried giving her medised or dozal. This teething thing is a bugger.

Has anyone heard from PJ - wonder how she is doing.

JL are you lurking, hows O's sleep any better this week?

Well my attempt to drop the dream feed was rubbish first night he woke at 11 screaming for food and last night he woke at 10, aarrgghh going to wait a few more weeks and try again.

Have been giving my monster little taster of food this week he has had satsuma, celery and carrot all of which he had a suck and chew on just waiting for his highchair to arrive and then going to give BLW a go with maybe a bit of porridge for breakfast.

Is everyone off to fireworks tom? bef and JL if you are around am going to vici park maybe see you there.

Have a good one, x.

cameroonmama · 03/11/2007 10:49

poor dejags, I didn't realise her dh had posted as well.

Busy day for us today, we go to ILs then MIL, dd and I go to the ballet without boys and then back to ours for bonfire night and fireworks.

Is everyone else doing fireworks tonight?

Thats great news MrsJB about the baby turning. Lets hope he stays there

SKYTVADDICT · 03/11/2007 11:04

We are going to a fireworks display on Monday although most of them round here are tonight.

DDs are with their dad so we dont' NEED to go this weekend.

My AF has returned this morning and C is 26 weeks old today. I have a really bad back ache and stomach ache - I forgot how bad it was.

A friend told me yesterday that her baby (who is also 26 weeks this weekend) has been eating food given to him at nursery which consists of meatballs and pasta and hot dogs and bread. Apparently they skinned the hot dog sausages for him and they blitz the meat balls and pasta. Up until he started nursery I know she was cooking the majority of his food from fresh but does she not know what is in tinned meatballs and hot dog sausages!! Should I tell her?

Juicylucytoo · 03/11/2007 12:37

Yip lurking away...Sleeping is still rubbish JW. Think I've cocked up his whole feeding pattern now. He seems to only want to feed at night.
Plus now I have a possible blocked milk duct AGAIN. Well, whatever it is - Breast badly engorged, rock solid and blardy painful.

Pee'd off to say the least...and now DH is back off shore and I've got to deal with it on my own again. Boo Hiss. Off to Mums next weekend methinks

May see you tonight at Vicky Park (if I can stay awake that long!)

Juicylucytoo · 03/11/2007 12:46

How cute are all the babies...and all so different!

Have just added new photos of O.

Hubblebubbletoilandjaffacakes · 03/11/2007 12:54

Hello everyone,

JL, I hope you sort O's sleeping out soon, or rather he does, I couldn't bear to be without enough sleep. I don't function well at the best of times let alone with out sleep.

I am tired today though, must have been the busy household yesterday me thinks.

Mum & Dad are going back to the UK next week for 2 weeks. Oh bliss, looking forward to having the house to ourselves again....Only down side is that they will see the baby and I won't. My sis is very relieved that he turned, what a clever little lad.

I've been lurking on her Nov thread, it brought it all back to me and I just had to go back to our thread in May and have a re-read on all our up's and downs and new arrivals, it was so lovely, I'm thinking I should print it our for Jorja for years to come.

CrowOnTheCradle · 03/11/2007 13:23

Just a quick quick quick one. JL, you haven't cocked up. If O is like M re feeding, he'll do what he needs/wants to do. M doesn't like to feed during the day and read recently in a development bible that it's entirely normal. Too much to see and do. To feed her in the day it has to be silent/dark/same place/in grobag. She prefers to graze all night and barely feed at all during the day.

Are you okay with unblocking the milk duct? I had a blocked duct last week and it was excruciating. Took about two hours to completely clear it.

O, btw is lovely. Very cheeky and incredibly cute. Makes me broody. DH wants to ttc again at Christmas. Am undecided as yet. But tempted.

Boo hiss to returning afs and hurrah for turning babies. Must dash, will be back later. ILs are coming over and we're cooking a roast (please read: dh is cooking a roast, I'm on here and playing with M). Had fireworks last night at my parents'. M loved it. We had silent ones. Guys next door had noisy rockets at 11pm and woke/terrified M.

Hope everybody is well. MrsJB, sent you a Facebook message if you get chance...

xxxxxxxxx

juliewoolie · 03/11/2007 14:17

JL if you want a break why dont you drop O off with me for a couple of hours and go to cinema/pub/shopping or just go home for a snooze. I really dont mind, call me.

MarsLady · 03/11/2007 18:09

Right........... I'm about to start emailing!

Don't forget £10 budget but you are welcome to spend more if you want to but don't expect your swapper to do that as well. You won't be sending to the person who sends to you.
