largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 08:05

I would like a Sanctuary trip to London no?

PMSL at the cheesy willies, im with you SOH on the camper with no sleeping bag

AM nice to see someone else's child does it too, why oh why do they? Tis bloomin nasty.

PinkJenny i go to a couple of NCT toddler groups but im not a member. Have been thinking about joining though to do some kind of training for antenatal classes or breastfeeding support (still feel woefully inadequate to help others) will see. What a lovely thing of your dh to do with the flowers Progress?

Had a wee row with DH last night Nothing major really, i threw a piece of salami at him while making the lunchboxes He got all offended and all i could do was ROFL, not constructive i know

AM i got the cardy back thank you! Its well worn that one. Hope you all get better soon.

School run >

Mum2G · 04/10/2007 09:30

Morning all, feeling a bit better this morning, have been on day nurse and night nurse, my throat not so sore so hopefully am over the worst, dh took yesterday afternoon to work at home so i slept most of afternoon, must have done me good!

I wish there was nct here! Really i should try and set something up. I have been trying to think of things for me and G to do during the day other than shopping, and going to the park, we are going to go swimming when am fit.

Don't think i have ever seen a camper without sleeping bag - i must have led a sheltered life!

Got to wait in today as G is having his matress delivered for his new bed, he is moving from his nest to a cotbed, hope he sleeps ok in it. Another sign that my babes is growing up!

Need to try and find some jeans that fit, used to wear them all the time before babes, style thread suggests high waist design may disguise muffin top, ayone got any muffin tops exercises tips?

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 09:39

In a word no M2G, im begining to love my muffin top Lets face it it's been my friend for a few years now, rude to ask it to leave really.

I have seen those high waisted jeans but not tried them on yet, it just seems a little bit fashionable for me. For fucks lords sake im soooo old. Dont listen to me.

Cam im thinking of a name....

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 10:03

re cheesy willies. It's probably best to just hook up with men who bother to wash. Not the best person to debate the whole 'which is better' issue as there's only ever been dh.

And Cam in terms of which is more pleasurable I must just assert that sex is not supposed to be pleasurable and if we can all just refer to it as 'doing the nasty' from now on I would be mightily obliged. And really sleeping bag or no, it's never going to be attractive in essence is it? You could put a tea cosy on it and it'd probably be more offensive.

Cute flowers from L! Mathilda bought me a DS Lite last week with a similar tag attached (early Crimbo pressie to help with the long and frequent feeds courtesy of DH's bonus). Hurrah for lovely DHs.

Secret Santa sounds fabby. gingerbread . Who's going to organise? Can we holler for Mars again? LG&T can you shout her on you multiples thread or shall I email her?

M off for her hour long morning jaunt with her daddy and I'm not tidying up. Nowt new there then.

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 10:05

Mum2G- sit-ups, back raises and twisty things standing up keeping your hips still, lunges and pilates... all good. However your best bet is general cardio to burn the excess fat as other exercises will tone the muscles underneath. Low impact stuff like swimming's the nicest I find as it doesn't feel so much like a work out.

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:08

I want a DS lite

Will holler for Mars

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/10/2007 10:11

Morning.......... aghhhhh brain not thinking can't type.

lots of hugs to all..........

oh yes, pmsl at the sleeping bag,

AM, Pebbles is fine thanks, she's a cheeky one! I'm in on the secret santa if we can arrange it, but maybe it could be a small gift baby to baby? Only that Christmas is a bloomin expensive time, I'm sure for everyone but it would be lovely to do something.

lg&t at the salami throwing, thats A and I all over! We had a fight in the red brick dust in the bomb site of our kitchen the other day. To see who could get the perfect dust hand print on each other. It started well until he slapped a good on my bum that hurt, he received one on the cheek then. He was not impresed but I pissed myself, tehe!!

ah thats it brain in function now!

Loving the flowers pj, so thoughtful.

Cam I'm thinking too but I'm not too good at the name thing. lg&t and HDWP will come up with something, I'm sure. Whether it will be clean enough to use on a public forum is another matter?

These high waist jeans are they high enough to hide the muffin tops but hold our boobs up?

largeginandtonic · 04/10/2007 10:19

I will get my coat...

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/10/2007 10:23

Great minds think a like lg&t

OP posts:
MarsLady · 04/10/2007 10:25

OK!!!!!!!!!!

You need to email me your:

MN name
Your RL name (unless you don't mind the parcel being addressed to your MN name)
Your address
Your likes/dislikes

I need to have received ALL emails by MON 29TH OCT (I'm going away the following weekend so won't have time afterwards).

You will then have until SAT 15TH DEC to get your gifts to your swappee! So that gives you plenty of time!

Now what you all need to decide now is this: Is the pressie for YOU or for your BEAN? Personally I think it should be for YOU but it's not my swap!

MarsLady · 04/10/2007 10:27

Oh and Pinkjenny.... the NCT have postnatal groups that you can join.

Now I really need to go and have some vodka to get cheesy images out of my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 10:33

No it farking is not pink you harridans. And I wouldn't know whether that other thing is pink either as I think it unwise to look directly into its eye.

Love my ds lite, have brain training (confirmed lack thereof) SuperDuperWuperMarioWhatsit and a blue hedgehog on speed. Names escape me.

DH returns triumphant from trip out with M bearing cheese, breads and pastries. Yummy yummy.

Oh and presents from babies to babies fine by me. Mathilda wants some gingerbread.

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 10:35

I officially love the lovely Mars. I bet she keeps a lovely home too. I'm such a slattern today. My parents are descending in 25 minutes and I'm in my pjs eating strawberries, how slovenly decadent.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/10/2007 10:44

Thanks Mars, you are lovely!!!!!

I don't mind whether we do us or baby to baby. Maybe it would be nice to do something for each other as the dc's get so much at Christmas?

ps, I don't want SOH I can't get gingerbread here.

OP posts:
MarsLady · 04/10/2007 10:51

Right I've made a decision!!!!!!!!!! Cos you lot are all going to do the ...ooh I don't need much...just to be a mother is enough!

RULES

Present must not cost more than £10 (but if you'd like to go over budget that entirely up to you but don't expect anyone else to)
Presents are for MUM not baby (but if you want to pop a little something in for Bean then please feel free)

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/10/2007 10:55

okey dokey, looks like we've been told!!! great rules............

OP posts:
HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 11:27

Being a mother is enough, but being a mother with diamonds is probably better.

You can't get gingerbread in France MrsJB? Not exactly the empire of haute cuisine we were all led to believe.

I wasn't actually planning on buying M any presents for Christmas. This is the child who can spend hours banging a wooden spoon on the floor/her head/other wooden spoons and it never gets tired. Not sure if she'd appreciate Christmas presents yet and I'm certain she'll get lots from doting grandparents so more from us will just be excessive. I may buy her a lava lamp as I really want one she likes lights and colours and moving things and it's a good light for nighttimes. And I will indulge the law of all that is twee and ridiculous and buy a 'baby's first christmas' bauble for the tree. If you go to Mothercare I notice you can dress your darling child up as a Christmas pudding for the holidays. Child cruelty or Ann Geddes next big venture?

My Christmas list is:

A snow globe
A pair of braces
Gingerbread
Earrings

Easily pleased me.

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 11:28

Ann Geddes' even.

Some fecker nicked my apostrophe. Honest guv.
