aprilmeadow · 04/10/2007 11:56

Thank you to the lovely Mars

We have decided only to get something small for the kiddies as Jack got so much last year that stuff just gets put away and then you forget whereit is!

Off out in a mo, so will catch up later x

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/10/2007 13:16

ROFL SOH, I love the I want one bit.

NOw it is an absolute must...... you must find a mother santa dress for Mathilda for her first christmas. I have one from M for J, if not, what devestating pictures will you have for her 18th b'day, first boy friend (god forbid), her children etc etc......

BUT before that we will all have little pupkins.

Blardy hell, I pop out to toddler gymnastics and swimming and I come back to talk (and talk and talk and talk) of christmas lists

SOH, have you sneaked in a voddy or two this morning?

...and what the bleedin hell is a DS lite? I could do with a ds light

...and talkin of Jasper, he says he would really like some bling for Christmas or to join his friend Beau at the Sanctuary.

Benson's weather has finally caught up with us

NoLongerInCameroonmama · 04/10/2007 14:58

pupkins? MrsJB? is that how the french do Halloween?

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 04/10/2007 15:05

ds lite

Tis a little 'puter that I'm too old for frankly but I can brain train on it and be told that I'm thick as the proverbial hogs mess by some speccy geezer.

No vodka here, am still angelic, teetotal person. Just tired and incapable of keeping schtum about things I really shouldn't be sharing with the Interweb.

Just been for a pizza hut buffet lunch courtesy of my parents. Twas good. Mathilda has one bright red cheek, a mild rash, lots of drool and is rubbing her gum on that side. I suspect teeth are on their way. What jolly larks. She's also a complete grizzbag. Am bad mummy, she is under her gym thing shouting at some butterflies while I play on the Net. Am shopping for new grobags as she is currently wearing size 9-12 months and can't fit in hers anymore. Biffy biffa.

Liked Nairobiorbust btw

Lupins71 · 04/10/2007 16:34

Hello ladies, I am all caught up, glad your all well and nothing major has occured

How exciting secret santa - i love it!! I am a xmas addict, I love it, have been putting things away for a few months now, Wont be getting Arlen a huge amount - but he does already have about 6 things put away, dd always gets wayyyyyyyyyy too much, she has already put in her order to mummy santa - bless her!!

Right must get on with roast spuds or we will never eat tnite, mmmmmmspuds

BTW on the weight front i only have 6lb to go, dont quite know how that happened , must eat more chocolate, cake and donuts and nothing else - seems to be workiing lol, well that and running round like a loon all day long!!

aprilmeadow · 04/10/2007 17:08

I have a reindeer outfit for Ella to wear at xmas - Jack wore it and looked so cute. Handy that their birthdays are 2 weeks apart meaning that she will fit it.

Soh, i have some grobags from ds (so therefore no sign of pink) that are in the bigger size - hmmm or did i give them to lupins...? Will check but if they are still in the house you are more then welcome to them.

anneme · 04/10/2007 19:31

Cheesy willies..salamis....campers - the things that come up (arf arf) on these threads. Don't want to get into debate about snipping because I know people have v strong views - HOWEVER - we had both DSs done for religious reasons (DH is Jewish) BUT I wanted it done medically (I'm not Jewish) via the plastiball method and found a v good place in Luton who were v nice and am happy to pass on info. Obviously DH has been done too and we have 2 children so I must have found it attractive at least twice...

Secret Santa - hooray - love it.
BTW I found a brain trainer for only £14.95 in a catalogue and have bought it for my mum for Xmas - a poor relation of the DS thingy that you have all been talking about but am happy to give you website. Also ordered a thing that makes logs for the fire out of newspaper - that's for mum too. What a wacky Xmas she is going to have.
THank goodness I did lots of Xmas shopping (smug moment) yesterday because DH looked at bank account today and realised that we have about 3p to last us until I go back to work...oops

anneme · 04/10/2007 19:39

Mum2G · 04/10/2007 21:32

Hi JW, i am thinking of going down the BLW route - much to MIL's chagrin

Mum2G · 04/10/2007 21:34

juliewoolie · 04/10/2007 21:46

Morning everyone

Horrendous night had here. L went down perfectly at 7pm and was woken at 11pm for a feed. Then woke at 1.15am, 2am, then awake from 3am until 5.15am when I finally succumbed and put her in our bed. How do you get a baby to stay asleep? She's so inconsistent, one night she'll just wake up once and we just go and give her the dummy, other nights are like last night. We tried everything, and I realise that putting her in with us doesn't really help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

And thanks for all the suggestions re my 'billy no mates' status. I met another lovely lady yesterday at our final baby massage class and we are going for coffee the week after next.

Off to Centerparcs on Monday. Honestly, MN must keep that company afloat. Off to Whinfell park which is in the lakes. Looking forward to it, just hoping this little princess enjoys it too.

I was a very brave mummy yesterday and gave her some apple and banana. She hated the baby rice (let's face it, who wouldn't). SHe loved the apple and banana, kicking her legs and making the same noises I do when someone gives me a huge slice of chocolate fudge cake.

One last thing, anyone got any cures for a slobber rash in the crease of her neck? I tend to it every night after her bath but it won't shift at all.

Mum2G · 05/10/2007 09:18

Don't know when we will start G shows no signs that he is ready yet. What stn is she on?

Mum2G · 05/10/2007 09:23

Pink,is she feeding any when she wakes?

Mum2G · 05/10/2007 09:25

If it isn't hunger, if she is quite a slobber chops might it be teething?

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 05/10/2007 09:40

At the 4/5 month mark there could be so many reasons why a baby wakes, it's such a guessing game. Teething, growth spurts, developmental spurts and heightened awareness are the usual culprits. It's also colder at night with a definite dip at 2-3am which wakes lots of adults as well as babies, M is definitely more aware of a wet nappy and will not sit in it a minute longer than necessary so wakes wanting a nappy change in the middle of the night. It's trial and error and I suppose once you've checked hunger, thirst, temperature, nappy, general comfort etc there's not much you can do other than ride it out. M also seems to have 'dreams' of sorts and will sometimes cry and moan in her sleep then wake upset. No idea what she's dreaming about -daddy's beard maybe- but she doesn't like it and sometimes needs a cuddle to go back to sleep.

M gets drool rash, esp in her neck as she's so chubby. If I don't watch it she ends up with cracked skin. I try and keep it clean and dry but I believe the best thing is to use an aqueous cream as a barrier if the baby's really going for it drool-wise.
