Morning........

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mrsjaffabiffa · 03/10/2007 13:44

TYG, I meant to say......

thats exactly what J is like at the moment. I'll be looking in her mouth when she wakes, I'm not used to all the attention she's demanding but secretly enjoying cuddling. Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone.

OP posts:

MID its a personal preference we wanted our son to be circumcised. I appreciate its not everyones cup of tea but there you go.

AbbyLou · 03/10/2007 14:21

Hi all. Having a tough day of it again today. Feeling slightly brighter now because R fell asleep at last at 1pm. However I can hear her stirring so I won't be around long....

largeginandtonic · 03/10/2007 14:39

Not that im stalking or anything but did you know a lady on the due in May 2008 thread is having TRIPLETS!!! and she has a 3 and a hlf year old and a 21mth old. >

AbbyLou · 03/10/2007 15:30

OMG triplets, that sounds like a nightmare, especially with 2 others.
LG and T you will be proud if me - I made a carrot cake today and it's NICE!

madeindevon2 · 03/10/2007 15:36

hi julie. sry didnt mean to come across as rude and i appreciate its a personal preference but i suppose i just dont understand unless its for medical reasons why its necessary? i dont know much about it i suppose. thought only jewish men had it done.

twelveyeargap · 03/10/2007 16:33

I actually think it looks nicer...

juliewoolie · 03/10/2007 17:24

MID no offence taken - have had to field a few barbaric comments from the parents.

TYG I too think it looks nicer

Triplets bloody nora and 2 under 3 to coin TYG jaysis!

HumptyDumptyWasPushed · 03/10/2007 17:52

Triplets? Has anybody broken the news to her that it means three babies?

Absolutely no offence intended, each to their own and all that jazz but I'm firmly on the 'no circumcision unless medically or religiously necessary' side of the debate but we're not debating so tis of no importance. Different strokes. Definitely don't think it looks better you odd bunch. It's like a camper out of his sleeping bag.

Wrong.

M has just had a 3hr nap (shh so did I!). Makes up for the lack of sleep last night I suppose. Is now full of the joys of spring when she should be winding down.

Nairobiorbust · 03/10/2007 19:26

I'm with the 'it looks better' camp, apparently it heightens pleasure too

twelveyeargap · 03/10/2007 20:11

No "cheesy willy" worries for future shags either. If there's one thing that will put you off someone you've pulled...

Not that our children will ever have sex. Ever.

Pinkjenny · 03/10/2007 20:45

Jesus - 3 babies at once. Horrendous. But lovely, I'm sure. Ahem...

Anyhoo, on the children having sex subject. L is the biggest 20 week old flirt I've ever come across. Laughing at the man in the Orange (mobiles, not fruit) shop in the Trafford Centre like he was bloody Peter Kay. She won't even laugh for her dad. Its alarming.

On a more positive note, dh sent me flowers today with a card that reads, 'To my mummy, I know staying at home with me has been a bit of a shock, but I just wanted to tell you you are doing an amazing job and I love you so much, that's why I save my special smiles for you. You are the best mummy in the world, love Alexa'. How cute is that. Clearly, he sent them on behalf of L, it would be creepy if they were actually from him.... Oh, you know what I meant anyway I'm sure.

And my bloody mother sent the mother-in-law an email today saying she thinks I'm a bit lonely! I was livid, but I didn't say anything, its done now.

The truth is, its hard when you're used to being surrounded by people all day to being on your own most days. Albeit with my best little mate.

Pinkjenny · 03/10/2007 20:46

Sorry if I offended anyone with the Jesus reference

juliewoolie · 03/10/2007 21:05

hahahahaha I knew it was thinking about the cheesy willie but wasnt sure if anyone would be a bit taken aback

PJ it is a bit lonely how lovely of your DH to do that. Are you a member of NCT or anything like that, it does help you get out a bit.

Juicylucytoo · 03/10/2007 21:07

Hello, just a quick post to say hello. Still alive. Just. Still getting no sleep (well some obviously, but it feels like none). Believe a growth spurt is in progress. Back to 2 hourly feeds. Have retreated to my mums for some kip as DH is away for his usual 2 weeks work and nearly fell apart last trip, so thought I would avoid crash this time.

Have only read last 20 posts or so, may need some time to catch up. May actually get it here!

Hope you're all doing fabulously. JW - Ouch.Hope A is recovering. Lets try and catch up next week.

Mum2G · 03/10/2007 21:12

Ahh that's so nice of your dh! PinkJ, i have to buy me own flowers!!

Pinkjenny · 03/10/2007 21:12

Julie - no, not a member of NCT, have a couple of friends that I meet regularly each week, and I go out every day, but I'm such a gobby thing, I love being with other mums.

I wish I had joined NCT now. I've discovered that they do a Newbies screening at the local Odeon on a Tuesday morning so I'll start going to that. Also there is a Surestart centre nearby with activities so I'll nip over there and see what's on.

Anything beats the pounding my credit cards are taking from all the shopping.

twelveyeargap · 03/10/2007 21:50

You know you don't have to be a member of NCT to join in the teas and meet ups? You can just phone or email your local contact (check for details on the website) you can be notified when there's a meet.

Nairobiorbust · 03/10/2007 21:58

Pink, we go to local church hall based playgroups/toddlers, all are made welcome, especially those with teeny babies, barely a mention of Jesus (unless you find a TYG there)most of them are free and there are plenty of gobby woman there to chat endlessly with about cheesy willies sleep schedules and organic baby mush

Nairobiorbust · 03/10/2007 21:59

and [ah isn't he lovely emoticon] at the flowers...

Pinkjenny · 03/10/2007 22:06

It was a lovely thing to do, made me cry a bit. Thanks, will look into it.

Just been reminiscing over our Ante-natal thread. Clearly have too much time on my hands tonight. I used to be quite humorous, apparently now I'm just too goddamn (sorry, again, TYG) busy and tired to be funny.

Off to check on my pumpkin who has been sleeping since 7pm.

NoLongerInCameroonmama · 03/10/2007 22:28

I've been having an identity crisis the last few days, could you tell? Any suggestions for a new name welcomed...

Off to bed, night all.x

twelveyeargap · 03/10/2007 22:30

Doesn't offend me Pinkjenny. I'm usually the perpetrator!

aprilmeadow · 03/10/2007 22:49

Oh my goodness three babies all in one go - no thanks!

JW, hope that A is recovering well. and lol at all you ladies thinking about his future sex life...

MrsJB, congrats on the weight loss. Thats great, you must have been rationing the goody pack i sent you. How is pebbles doing?

LG&T, lol at hugs and the poo. Jack does the same - yuk

PJ, awww how lovely. I havent had flowers from dh for ages

Mummy mush brain i think stays for ever! I am always forgetting things, which annoys the hell out of me because i usually have such a good memory.

We are all poorly in the AM household Jack has an ear infection and cold/cough. Ella has the cold & cough and i have a cold and sore throat. Dh is just about ok. Have been out and got us some multi vits. Dont want to spend all winter sniffing (soh i know that's a favourite of yours!)

Am organising a Halloween party for the kiddies. Have booked a hall as dont think everyone would fit in the house!

Was thinking....... do you all fancy signing upto a Secret Santa thingy - bit like the stork? Am getting into the Xmas spirit early as i have so many pressies to get and am trying to spread the cost.

juliewoolie · 03/10/2007 22:54

AM sounds like a great idea- can my secret santa be someone who pays for me to go to a spa for the weekend, or is that pushing it
