Still waiting for my little man to arrive but starting a thread ready. Can't wait to catch up with all the other May 20 mums.

Huge congratulations to those who have already met their little ones. It's been quite a scary time to face giving birth recently and you've all done amazingly.

@Raindancer411 - yes kindergarten is 2-6 years here. Just 8.30am-11am

Wow! Time flies, doesn't it! I remember the newborn days seemed to crawl by, but here we are! Thinking about a 3rd actually, but still on the fence...

I haven't really found a big "pandemic effect" on my baby really. We weren't much into baby groups with my first anyway, so it wasn't a massive change. She loves playing with my friends kids. We were away with friends recently (they have 3 kids) and my two had a great time!

Despite living abroad, we got back to visit family fairly recently over the last two years. Though we went for Christmas 2020 and got stuck at my parents until the middle of April! My poor husband was home alone for 3 months (he left just before everything locked down), so he missed her first steps Sad I ended up flying home via Amsterdam with the two kids on my own! I can recommend KLM though Grin

I suppose in the summer we'll start thinking about potty training?!

@AlmostAlwyn - bought Ds some tiny boxer pants the other day ready to start potty training in the summer. So cute!

@Caspianberg sweet! I feel like we had quite an easy ride with my son. Boys just have it easier in the peeing-wherever department! Grin So I'll see how we get along with female anatomy this time round!

How lovely to read all your updates, I’m the same I can’t believe how fast time has gone. Reading over the old threads has made me somewhat emotional (the urge to have another is strong at the mo 😂). I can’t believe how challenging it was to have a baby in the pandemic but id do it again in a heartbeat.
We had a few issues with socialisation etc which I think stems from her being sheltered at the start, but she couldn’t be more different now and I’m so proud of how confident she is. I’m lovely being able to experience ‘normal’ things with her now, we’ve got into a nice routine of going to toddler groups and swimming every week.
We are also thinking of potty training this summer, feel a bit out of my depth but I’m sure we’ll figure it out like we have everything up to this point 😊 is everyone back at work now? We’ve just gone back into the office (part time) which was daunting at first. Currently in the process of moving house too so life is mega busy at the moment!

Hi everyone!! So lovely to hear updates and glad you’re all getting on ok. Can’t believe they are all turning 2! We are still on the fence about a 3rd but will leave it up to fate!
Socialisation hasn’t been too bad here, but it’s funny as I hated being at home with my first and needed to be out all the time doing stuff. I’ve got so used to being indoors this time round that it’s an effort to go out! We do a music group once a week but that’s about it other than parks and walks - looking forward to better weather. He is very very attached to me though, screams and is so upset if I leave the house without him, which isn’t very often. My first went to nursery at 1yr but he won’t go till he’s 3 and a half so has had a lot longer time at home with me.

So lovely to hear from you all again! Little one isn’t so little now, nearly 2 and has such a lovely little personality! I’m sooo broody it’s unreal but I think we’re going to wait until next year and try for another Smile crazy how quickly time has gone by isn’t it!
