Still waiting for my little man to arrive but starting a thread ready. Can't wait to catch up with all the other May 20 mums.

Huge congratulations to those who have already met their little ones. It's been quite a scary time to face giving birth recently and you've all done amazingly.

Aw thank you all! The test was negative thank goodness and we can come out of isolation! I'm hoping to celebrate with a lovely walk and fresh air with him tomorrow :)
He's still out of sorts though... can't wait for my happy baby to come back!

@May2311 there's 3.5 years between my two and for us it works perfectly. My eldest understood why I was breast feeding, why his brother sleeps in my room, why we have to be quiet etc etc and he hasn't shown any jealousy at all so I'm really enjoying the age gap! That being said, a small age gap also would be good as my eldest thrived when we was with my neice through his earlier years and she is 7 months!
I think you just always make what you have work! ❤️

woollycat · 05/12/2020 14:38

How is everyone doing?
I was just thinking of you all and the incredible journey we have all been on the past year and a bit. Was remembering when we all got on the thread around September time, excited about our pregnancies, sharing our scan news and worries. I miss you all ❤️

Raindancer411 · 05/12/2020 17:59

@woollycat We are good but hiding away as much as poss as of the high virus numbers. Just started weaning but she isn't really interested at the moment lol

Caspianberg · 06/12/2020 07:57

@woollycat - all good here as well. The last year has gone past fast. As you said, it’s crazy that this time last year most of us were having first baby scans.

We have a non sleeper here still, currently teething, crawling around, trying to pull cables. He loves yogurt, going for walks and chasing the cat around.

AlmostAlwyn · 07/12/2020 18:00

Hello everyone! We're good too! Also a big fan of plain yoghurt here! She demolished some sweet potato chips tonight and is also partial to chomping on a cucumber stick.

Two teeth so far and starting to get a bit more mobile, though not actually going anywhere yet (except 360 degrees round and round).

Looking forward to Christmas! Hoping to spend it with my parents, which will be great!

Emmacb82 · 09/12/2020 21:46

Hey everyone, all good here too! Gone from sleeping through to waking multiple times a night but does nap well. On 3 meals a day now and really enjoying food. Loves flipping on his belly but then instantly moans as he doesn’t like it. Getting ready to crawl but hasn’t dragged himself anywhere yet. Can’t believe how quickly it’s going x

cosymama2020 · 10/12/2020 09:45

All good here too! Little one now sleeps through the night for 11 hours, 2 meals a day and a snack and sitting up by herself Smile making new sounds and faces everyday. Still no teeth though - she’s been teething for so long bless her. I can see the buds under the gums so hopefully not too long now.

Is everyone excited for baby’s first Christmas? I’m irrationally excited haha x

november90 · 16/12/2020 01:04

Awwww I miss our old thread and the familiar names so much too ❤️ I'd love to know how everyone is getting on!
My little boy is doing so well. He's an absolute chubby giant though, he weighs just under 22lbs at 7 months 😂 He's on one solid meal a day but I am considering when the right time is to add a second... still breast fed and I'm loving it!
He's got a little bit of curved feet though, but our health visitor isn't consider about it... just me 🙈
Sleep never recovered from the 4 months sleep regression and I'm currently up for the 4th time tonight 😂

So excited for Christmas! He's so ready for his next stage of toys which I'm gifting him! Also I can't wait to see how thrilled my eldest is going to be as it's his first Xmas where he's really aware of things!

May2311 · 16/12/2020 07:02

We are all good here as well!

We are army crawling now so I now need eyes in the back of my head & is enjoying 3 meals a day ( plus the odd snack🤣).

I agree seem to be teething forever although I'm just starting to feel the bottom 2 coming through 🙌🙌 Apparently the longer they take to come through the better as they last longer( although not much comfort in that saying when you have a little baba uncomfortable!!)

Hope your all well and merry Christmas! Xxx

woollycat · 16/12/2020 08:55

Great to hear you are all doing well!
We are 6.5 months here, and 21lb so also on the chunky side! Just about fits into 9-12m clothes 😀
Have started weaning last week with the baby led approach. She mostly plays with the veg sticks we give her. The occasional one has gone into mouth but has come back out again. My understanding is this is normal and she'll start actually eating things when ready. Any others with BLW experience?

woollycat · 16/12/2020 08:56

We are not sitting up unaided yet either - curious when did your little ones start doing it?

AlmostAlwyn · 16/12/2020 20:39

We've also got a chunk! Weighed in at just under 10kg at our appointment yesterday! She's just over 7.5 months now. Sitting up really well

AlmostAlwyn · 16/12/2020 21:14

Oops! Posted too soon! Looking forward to Christmas here too. Just hope our plans don't get derailed like practically everything this year Smile

Hey :) how are you all? We are doing ok here. Cant believe she's 9 months tomorrow!!! I found out this week I'm pregnant with number 5 :) eeek!
Raindancer411 · 31/01/2021 18:42

We are not too bad, weaning is going very slow and she gags a lot. She is rolling and starting to try and crawl and making lots of ba ba ba and ma ma ma and da da da... oh and two teeth!!

Emmacb82 · 31/01/2021 19:08

Hi all! Doing well here too, was 9 months old yesterday, can’t believe how fast it’s gone. Has started to crawl. Eats like a horse and has started sleeping through again. Is a very happy little man. Got 2 more months with him and then back to work I go, not looking forward to it.
Lockdown has been really hard. Feel like a complete hermit now. And having my other ds home and trying to homeschool has been a challenge too. But I’m lucky and have had my first vaccine so looking forward to a better summer hopefully.

Congratulations @Moonstone12 wow!!

cosymama2020 · 31/01/2021 20:18

All good here thanks! Been crawling for a few weeks, standing up for a few days and she’s trying her hardest to walk but she’s too little! 9 months old next week 😍 has been sleeping through the night for the last two months now and has dropped to two naps a day.

Lockdown isn’t too bad, we’ve been in lockdown since early December so just going through the motions and trying to get out for walks when the weather allows it! Can’t wait to be able to see family and friends but god knows when that will be now. Trying to keep as positive as possible!

Back at work now but working from home so still able to spend a lot of time with little one thankfully.

Wow congratulations @Moonstone12 how exciting! X

Caspianberg · 01/02/2021 06:10

9 months old tomorrow. We have an early walker. He started last week after a month or so of walking around the furniture. Our house isn’t baby proofed enough!
Still a terrible sleeper here.
But he thinks he’s hilarious all the time, is always trying to get into something he shouldn’t be and is a cuddly, affectionate little boy.

november90 · 01/02/2021 08:55

@Moonstone12 that's amazing news! Congratulations! How are you feeling about it all? I hope you're keeping well.

Wow it's so good to hear of all these active babies and good sleepers. My little one still doesn't sleep through, we never recovered after the four-month sleep regression ha ha. He also doesn't weight bear on his legs yet, however he is really trying to crawl. My eldest didn't start standing up around furniture until he was about 11 months old so I'm not too concerned about it at the moment. I'm going back to work in April, and although I'll probably be working at home for some time I feel so emotional about it. I think because of all of the isolation due to the lockdown I'm really getting separation anxiety with my little one. I think what contributes that as well is not being with the babies dad and the time that I already have to give up for his access. But it's not all doom and gloom, I'm having such a lovely time with my boys. I wish we could do more in terms of places being open, but on the other hand I've had so many more snuggly cuddles and lovely walks then I ever would have had if times were normal!

Raindancer411 · 04/02/2021 07:20

How are everyone's periods? After my first they went back to normal straight away. This time I am on my second and they really irregular and heavier. I had a pad on over night, it was on for 5 hrs and when I changed it, nearly full. Scared me as it's never been like that before.

Emmacb82 · 06/02/2021 18:52

My cycles are completely back to normal. I had my first about 6/7 months post partum but back to being regular and bleeding is the same as pre baby. Perhaps everything is still settling down for you, I know for some people unfortunately bleeding does get worse.

november90 · 06/02/2021 19:45

I haven't had any yet @Raindancer411 but I am still breast feeding so I think that is why. I am definitely starting to feel more hormonal cycles though so I wonder if they're coming back.
Are you bf at all or have you recently stopped?

Raindancer411 · 06/02/2021 20:48

@november90 I am EBF my little girl, as I did my first baby. My cycle returned right near normal after him at 6-7 months. Was around 6 month mark this time too but am just not regularly and heavier this time. Second baby done it?

CharlieB93 · 07/02/2021 15:32

@Raindancer411 mine are horrendous, I’ve always had light periods that cause pretty much no pain but now they are so heavy and painful ☹️ Being a woman is the gift that keeps on giving!!
