Well, I was thinknig along the lines of one gets the purple thing one gets a big eyed ugly doll

Frizombie · 14/10/2007 17:04

off to do tea/get dd2 up she's napped since 2.30, ahem, bad mummy or good baby?

mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 17:25

Bad bedtime ahead, I'd say

Jas · 14/10/2007 18:03

mrm- Boy's only words are still mummy and no. Lots of gobbldigook here.

I'm sure someone will have the bratz. In fact if it still has most of its bits I can repackage it and put it in a Christmas stocking

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2007 18:13

pmsl @ big eyed ugly baby!

Can I say no to the socks please ( @ being picky) he has big feet even if the rest of him is small... Unless they are stripey which I tend to force on his feet until they are falling off with smallness

Hope your mum's ok mrm.

at the new business Friz

Pg for the work situation.

Hi UniSarah and csws

Jas, glad you're feeling better

Well, had a weekend away from boys. Parents picked them up and took them home Friday morning and they came back this afternoon. First time they've been away from home and first time for me away from ds2 (had a night away from ds when I was about 6 months pregnant). Me and dh went out on Friday night and last night with 2 other couples. Missed them loads but they had fun. We managed to sort out the loft and get all the babsy stuff out we're promised for my mums cousins son who is expecting in November. Actually, paerhaps you could help. How much would you ask for the following:
1 Baby Bjorn bouncy chair
2. Avent steriliser
3.Avent bottle warmer
4. Feeding cushion
5. Baby mozart cot mobile
6. Tomy Papousse
7. Cradle with brand new mattress and 2 sheets
8. Mamas and Papas cot mobile
9. Mamas and papas fleece blanket
10. Mamas and papas buggy toy
11.Binliner Bag of newborn and 0-3 clothes, mostly gap and John Lewis but several dkny outfits and Timberland, 2 snowsuits.
12 Mamas and papas freestyler buggy with 2 car seats.
13. ELC baby swing, not boxed but never used
14. 5 Dr Brown bottles, never used still packaged.

All excellent condition. Was going to ask for £100 too much???

So tonight ds2 is in a bed . We decided rightly or wrongly to convert his cot into a bed. They are both sharing a room now so we thought it might make things a lot easier if he can get out and play. Of course we have put the stairgate up so he won't come downstairs.

He's moaning very loudly at the minute.

Like you Flame, I've been full of phlegm. Lost my voice on Monday night, came back on Friday. Still feel a little rough and disappointed I couldn't use the time away from boys to get to the gym or run but I figured I needed the rest.

Right, gonna get ready for Strictly. Had a roast earlier with the boys and my parents so I'm gonna put my feet up and pour a glass of wine, if anyone would care to join me.

Phew, this looks long!!!!

2boysmacca · 14/10/2007 18:41

Forgot to say, I've had 3 phishing emials this week. 2 from Nationwide (1 requesting account details, the 2nd stating I had failed to log my details despite the earlier e-mail) and one from LloydsTSB. Neither of which I have accounts with.

Be careful!

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2007 19:25

The irs keep trying to give me a tax refund of $200 odd

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 19:55

Hmmm. I only get ones offering me penis enlargements

Macca, a bed?! God, I cant face ds2 being on the loose yet.
I'd say £55 excluding the buggy and carseats; see how much they go for and add it on? So you're prob about right. Lucky you getting shot in one go!

No call from Mum, and no one answering either. Geting a tad concerned now.

Jas · 14/10/2007 19:55

All that sounds a bit dodgy.

£100 for that lot is a fair price for family
@bed.

DD has just struggled through her homework, and I have discovered that she has no idea how to tell the time It was like pulling teeth Her nemeracy is apallingly bad. Not helped by fil (here again) in the background pointing out that at 8 she should be able to do it, and in his day everyone could[grr]

I willpost your socks this week Flame They are still sat next to the pc

Jas · 14/10/2007 19:57

Could you call her friend that was with her yesterday?

mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 19:57

I was 9 when I leanr to tell the time properly'I used to really panic that I'd be the one sent in from the playground to find out if the teacher asked. Could do the basics,up to half pasts, but not the ' xxx to xxx'

Jas · 14/10/2007 20:02

Thankyou mrm. I needed to hear that (she can do O'clock and half past etc, too)

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2007 20:02

I still struggle with the time. I have to really concentrate with a non-digital clock. My friend has a backwards clock which just makes me want to sob.

I'd forgotten the socks Jas

Bed sounds like madness to me too.

I feel broody Thank god for this coil is all I can say - it has to be a very conscious decision rather than a whim of "i'll stop taking my pill today then".

DH is useless - he's up for another one any time

mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 20:05

So, this may or may not help, but also in primary school...
I used to cry because I didnt understand how we lived in England and Europe at the same time.
And cried because I didnt want to go to Grange Hill when I was 11.
And didnt want to live on a hill with a grandparent like Heidi.
Ad cried every xmas/birthday because all I wanted was to go to a scrapyard and choose a car to play in in the back garden.

Jas · 14/10/2007 20:05

Go on Flame. Three is fun

mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 20:07

Flame. You are insane.

Got my eye on one of those clocks in Boots that do a birdsong on each hour (diff birds). My Mum would love it, so I'm hoping there will be some left in the half price sales.

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2007 20:07

actually crying with laughter here MRM!!!

Jas - NO! Not until he is schoolish age. I am struggling enough with children, business and home, without pregnancy (you all remember me pregnant right??? )

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 20:10

Actually, go on , have another.. you'll be fat fat fat and make me fee lbetter

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2007 20:11

D'ya think gaffer tape works on baby bumps?

Grin
CantSleepWontSleep · 14/10/2007 20:21

I think that you should have another flame, but not yet, ok?!

Will reply to rest when dd stops screaming, as can't really concentrate. Not entirely sure what's up with her, but she won't eat. Mostly just played with her breakfast, then ate some sultanas mid morning, some beetroot at lunchtime (but left a whole plate of veggies which she loves), and only a cheese straw since then. More shocking than that, she didn't even have her breastfeed tonight . She would put her mouth on, but then not suck, and then come off again. Drank a bit of milk from a cup instead, but not masses. Am assuming teeth, esp as she's been a little bit dribbley (which she's never been, even when teething) but she's never gone off bf before - normally the opposite when her teeth are playing her up.

Aaargh - gonna have to go up and see her.

mustrunmore · 14/10/2007 20:23

BTW Friz; is it the race to the mall pp that dd wants? I thought you said £50, but they're £30 in Argos. if its not the same one, wouldn't it do, as its cheaper?!

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2007 20:26

Tis ok - I have realised the broodiness must be a symptom of some temporary insanity... I have just ironed DS a shirt for tomorrow - I am clearly unhinged and in need of help

OP posts:
Jas · 14/10/2007 20:28

I was assuming a gap similar to mine rather than right now It really is great.

@ refusing a bf csws.
I just remembered a long conversation I had with dd2 this week regarding the difference between Pippa and Kipper ( obviousl the only difference is that Kipper is a boy)
