Awwww, some lovely new pics - they're scrummy!! We've been keeping a photo diary of Cerys: Cerys

Welcome missy and welcome back emalushka .

We're doing well here - my parents have gone to New York for a week so I'm answering my mums business phone which has proved to be a little more demanding than I had anticipated but as long as they are enjoying themselves its all worth it1 (they haven't had a holiday for years!!). Not to mention the fact that they're shopping and have a list of things from us to look out for

Cerys is still feeding loads in the daytime but its worth it now that she's going even longer at night. She was going from 11pm through to 6am but this last week she's been going from 9 or 10 through to 7am (I have to wake her then so I can get her fed before the school run). Last night she went from 9pm to 8am which was nice!

I'm getting a little anxious about the upcoming operation and being away from the house for another week - not long to go now! (we go in on 11th). So, next week I've decided to try and be at home as much as possible. We're changing the lounge around today and putting up the christmas decorations tomorrow - DH would have had them up weeks ago if he had his way so this is a compromise! I've been getting lots of presents off ebay which will make the physical shopping much easier.

Not For Childrens Eyes!!
(sshhhh, we've decided to get a wii for the kids for Christmas as I had a reasonably big win on online bingo - just need to find a shop that has them in stock now!)

Have a good weekend all!

PLP xx

kelmcd · 01/12/2007 13:52

PLP - Cerys' hair is so adorable has any fallen out yet??

MrsMar · 01/12/2007 16:11

None of those photos are his passport photo.. or was that not for me? He's got just such a cute face I'm always taking close ups of his face.. dh is always taking these big wide shots of him and he just looks like a little bundle of clothes, so I've started taking some of his face, esp now he's got so many different expressions!

PurpleLostPrincess · 01/12/2007 16:11

Thank you! Nope - no bald patches or anything yet, if anything it has grown. Its long enough to put in a little ponytail lol! Only thing is, if she is sick while laying down, it gets in her hair and it smells!

PurpleLostPrincess · 01/12/2007 16:23

He's gawjus MrsMar! I think it was kelmcd who has a passport pic on her profile...?

So, you're using a door bouncer, how sweet! You've given me an idea of what to get Cerys for Christmas - thank you!!

MrsMar · 01/12/2007 19:12

oops! Doh! Sorry

Cerys has got amazing hair plp, so sweet!

Luca loves his door bouncer, can highly recommend it. He swings in it while I'm cooking and watches me. In only a week his neck control has improved massively, I wonder if the bouncer has helped....

MrsMar · 01/12/2007 19:14

ooh just had a look at arben's passport photo (sorry MrsF, got a brain like mashed potato at the moment!) and he's sooo sweet, and another one with a cracking head of hair! My poor boy is as bald as a cue ball!

kelmcd · 02/12/2007 12:31

Thankyou MrsMar, MrsFish and PLP I am quite proud of our wee man, a miracle!!!
Well, i hope i am not jinxing myself by saying this but i think we may be cracking the night time problems! I think we were trying to keep him awake when we should have been letting him sleep. We have done the same thing for the last two nights and Arben has slept really well, 6-7hrs. I really feel we are getting somewhere at last. Plus, most importantly Arben seems to be a happier little boy
I was planning on heading out to the shops today but it hasw been raining all morning
Hope you are all having a great weekend xxx

MrsFish · 02/12/2007 15:43

Ben did 9 hours between feeds last night 8.35pm till 5.30am, just need to try and make that last feed later but it just isn't working out that way atm

kinki · 02/12/2007 21:05

Liam's doing better at night as well. We've found that he sleeps better if he has gloves on, he gets very cold hands. Strange.

I had a cancelled photo shoot today - just as well as I'm still not well really - so instead I took some pics of my dc in order to make an xmas card. None of the boys were particularly playing ball, but I managed to get one pic where they were all looking reasonably happy. Its on my profile.

I love all the recent photos of gorgeous babies.

MrsMar · 02/12/2007 21:19

Kinki I LOVE your christmas card, soooo cute. Your boys are so lovely!

kinki · 02/12/2007 22:45

Thanks MrsM, but don't let a couple of cheeky smiles and some big eyes fool you. They are little devils really.

MrsFish · 03/12/2007 08:27

That picture is fab

I've cheated this year and bought some cards from Mothercare where you just pop in a photo. I had to photoshop another head of Sam onto this pic with Ben as I couldn't get one where they were both looking at the same time. here

The first year I did this one of Sam here

MrsFish · 03/12/2007 08:29

Ooops, meant to say Kinki - That pic is fab

dal21 · 03/12/2007 08:34

Morning all

We had a lovely long weekend. Took Ryan away for the night to stay with family and he was as good as gold. settled by 8pm, took his 10pm feed - then didnt feed til 7.30! Woke a few times and needed a little help (i.e. dummy, pat) to get back to sleep - same last night. Long may it last! Think my body is finally catching up on long needed sleep though as am waking up very tired at times. Not knocking finally getting some decent sleep tho!

Thanks all to your replies on the school fronts - am starting to look into it now.

Welcome back emalushka and welcome santa! We all just post our trials and tribulations on here - you have none to post....yet

MrsM/ Kelm/ Mrs F - sounds as though our bubs are all doing well sleep wise...all seems to happen between 8 to 12 weeks as I was told.

PLP - we have our xmas tree up too! I get it straight up as soon as am into dec! are nintendo wiis still hard to get hold of? i confess have never played on one.

Kink - how funny re the hands. Ryan is into a grobag now as hey was starting to grab and pull his blanket...it is fab!

right - off to look at all your photos! have fab days all!

Decided to get into the xmas spirit and change my name, not very unique i know but couldn't think of anything else
I think i may have jixed myself yesterday as it was a bit of a struggle to get Arben off to sleep but hey still got 5 hrs between feeds and then another 4hrs so cant complain really

kinki · 03/12/2007 13:32

I'm sitting here beside myself. Last week Liam had a bad cold. He was coughing a lot so took him to the docs, who said it's not in his chest so doesn't need treatment. He's been gradually improving, but over the weekend the cough has got bad again so dh took him back to the docs. This time, he's been sent straight up to the hospital. I'm worried sick. I'm still struggling with this diarrhoea bug, but the surgery have just told me it isn't cdiff, so I can go up to the hospital if I need to. Rang dh to say I'm coming, but he said hang fire, because he's using me as an excuse to be seen quickly - basically Liam's hungary, I might have cdiff, he's asked a&e would they like me to come in and feed him, or do they want to push him through the system quickly. In theory it's good. But I want to be with him. Just had a text from one of my colleagues in xray, they've got as far as there at least. God, I feel so helpless and Liam must be starving. Dh hasnt got as much as a spare nappy with him.

Oh dear kinki, you must be beside yourself. Hopefully they will see him quickly. Thinking of you.

PurpleLostPrincess · 03/12/2007 14:11

Oh kinki, you poor thing! I'm sure all is well - I take it they are doing a chest x-ray then? Sounds like DH is thinking on his toes which can only be a good thing and I'm sure they'll respond well xx

PurpleLostPrincess · 03/12/2007 14:13

Just remember that my DD1 had bronchilitis when she was 4 months old and she was absolutely fine so he's in the right place and will get everything he needs (medically speaking of course).

Btw, good news that you haven't got cdiff!

PurpleLostPrincess · 03/12/2007 14:15

*remembered - sorry typo!

kinki · 03/12/2007 14:28

Thank you ladies. Just spoke to dh. Chest xray is clear, now they're waiting for blood tests to see if it's whooping cough. Liam's not had any jabs yet. At our surgery they wait until the babies are 3 mths for the first ones, and we had to cancel that last thursday because of his cough. I've only fed him once today, first thing. Apparently he's asleep at the moment, but he'll be hungary and loud when he wakes. This last week has really screwed up our breast feeding (I haven't been able to eat and barely drink anything). We're just about hanging in there, but the poor little boy must be thinking mummy has gone on milk strike.

PurpleLostPrincess · 03/12/2007 14:45

Phew, so pleased its clear, what a relief! Hope the bf'ing picks up again soon, surely your body will start producing more milk as you get better!?

DD1 also had whooping cough despite having had the jabs so I don't think it makes that much different ime. Cerys isn't having her first set until later this week because of her surgery. (yes, DD1 was a very sickly baby too lol!). It just ended up that she coughed for about 3 months, no other effects really. I'm not being very reassuring really am I!? Just trying to share my experiences so you know it'll all be OK in the end...

((((((big hugs)))))))

dal21 · 03/12/2007 16:30

aww, kink - to you. your dh sounds as though he is doing a fab job. let us know what happens!
