I hate the Da Vinci Code! I thought the book was boring, the plot was ok, but the writing was awful! I just hated the way it was written!

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 21:55

holly, I think she is being a little cheeky. they look like she has made them, but Wambamboo was the previous name for Bambinex which are selling at much the same price as they are the older style. I'd be a bit wary about made by themself sellers unless I had a review somewhere. And i prefer nippa rather than velcro/applix.

bumper you get the starter books for free that explain how the eating plans work and have points listing for common foodstuffs, and you get a wee thing for working out the points for any food item. The other books ie shopping guide etc you have to buy, but you can get along with the free stuff that is handed out. It cost me £5.50 today.

I haven't read the book

and I always thought I was quite intelligent.

BTW, sorry I'm so rubbish at scrabble derlor!

loonylovegood · 12/09/2007 21:59

AAARRRGGHHH!! I can't get into scrabulous!

bumperlicious · 12/09/2007 22:00

daisy, did you take DD? and how long does the meeting take?

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:00

I think it has crashed big stylee

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 12/09/2007 22:02

I'm getting pissed off now! Scrabulous won't open and my dp won't stop snoring! Think I might go to bed!

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:04

bumper, yes I took DD (she was very popular with ladies of a certain age, LOL) and there were two or three other mums and babies there too. weigh in takes up the first half hour, the meeting bit of it....where they do the motivational stuff...took about 40 mins, then there was a new members talk for another 20 mins. But, you don't have to stay for the meeting (especially if you have no intention of going back) so if you get there first, weigh in and pay, you can bugger off and it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:06

DD did her first real giggle today...it was heartlifting she smiles lots and does little "goooo" type laughs, but today she was chickling. It was sooooo sweet [soppy fluff brain emoticon]

bumperlicious · 12/09/2007 22:11

Awww daisy, makes it all worthwhile doesn't it?

Think I'm going to pop along tomorrow to a ww meeting.

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:11

Yay, I got the wraps......I do not need to buy any more wraps now!!

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 12/09/2007 22:12

DH doing last feed tonight so I'm going to express then go to bed. Busy day tomorrow, bumps and babies, weight watchers, gathering at a new mum friend's, yoga, then dinner with DH. Phew! That's more activities than I usually do in one week!

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:13

chickling...WTF...

chuckling...but I'm sure you know what I meant!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 12/09/2007 22:14

Oooo, there's a WW meeting tuesday nights at the end of my road! I can walk there in 2 mins! Might start going then!

Hooray for you daisy! Good wrap purchasing!

Off to bed, night xx

loonylovegood · 12/09/2007 22:15

Oh and well done to dd on the chuckling!! My ds did his first laugh last week, it was so funny! I was tickling him and he was screaming with laughter!

riabutterflew · 12/09/2007 22:26

Right then. My plan id to let you all do WW for a week, the you can tell me how much better/worse it is than slimming world, THEN I will make moves to not look like a carthorse anymore..

For now I will have another glass of wine.

Charlie999 · 12/09/2007 22:29

Sounds like a good plan to me Ria ...I have failed miserably with WW before but enjoyed SW....difficult with DH tho so am interested in WW stories....

DD has slept all evening, taken a feed and gone back to sleep so fingers crossed.....

Night all x

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:31

Ria, I've done both and prefer SW as I like the whole "eat as much as you like/free food" ethos, but there isn't a daytime class near me and I am sorely lacking in the babysitting department of an evening.

WW do similar plan now, but it looks more complicated than the SW one.

I'll let you know how I've got on next Wednesday!

Evening!

Sorry you're feeling BZ - tomorrows another day...
Happy wedding Anniversary Jamantha!
Hope your day wasnt too hectic TA!

Now look here , - whats with all the nappy talk on this thread?? Own up! - ok I'll let you off - on that note..
I was looking at the Nappy Lady classified last night and a few people had posted messages on there saying that they'd paid for stuff and not got it - now you say its been closed down due to fraudulent transations!

Went to another Bumps and Bundles group today - not too bad - L looks quite big compared to other babies her age - but then I do like cuddly babies!

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 22:35

That's interesting about Nappy Lady jbm. I bought some stuff and it arrived fine. I did e-mail the lady to send photos though, so was sure it was legitimate.

There are often nappies for sale on here as well....maybe a bit more trustworthy?

riabutterflew · 12/09/2007 22:38

i did try ww when ds1 tiny and did ok. i actually joined sw and went to classes when ds2 a baby. i have since tried ww again and sw several times. my thoughts - sw best for needing to eat a lot and have treats, but a bugger for too much cooking and the time involved. ww is good for pre-packed food but all the weighing and measuring is a bit complicated. good luck to you all though, i will still be here with my butt next week!

justbeme · 12/09/2007 22:45

ohh forgot to say - Had a bargain in Dorothy Perkins today - bought 2 Boob tube type tops for £3 (it was BOGOF) - brilliant I thought for putting under a top when BF'ing - so that you dont expose your midriff to the world!
Also bought some black skinny Jeans! - Takes me back to the 80's!

daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 23:05

LOL jbm...I was about to bow down in admiration at you wearing boob tubes ....great idea though as I do worry about the rolls of blubber. I'm still not great at BF in public. DD doesn't like it if she isn't lying on her comfy cushion and faffs about too much.

Ria, you are altogether too self depracating. You look great in that photo you've posted with DS3 and DS2

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 12/09/2007 23:08

LOL at the skinny jeans as well. I used to buy jeans and then take in the seam some more as I had really skinny legs....really, I did...once upon a time

All we need now are power shoulder pads, jacket sleeves pushed up to the elbow and big hair and we'll be right back there with our Duran Duran records!

OP posts:
justbeme · 12/09/2007 23:09

Imagine me with just a boob tube and skinny jeans!! (no perhaps you shouldnt!) -
the skinny jeans (black) are to go with this top I bought which is a long empire line thing - the whole outfit really isnt me but its for the evening wedding do.

Right im off now - ive made a cup of Jasmine tea- someones given me 2 boxes as they say its good for BF mums - I bet it tastes horrid!
Night x
