lol charlie...that is so my style too.

had another lovely bath with dd this morning. she kept throwing her head back so only her face was out the water. will take her swimming at the weeend i think.

what's up with the gp charlie?

i'd love to visit london and do a gallery tour. i miss all that now i have ds...we usually go to interactvr type museums or onez with guns and weapond and science abd stuff.

i'm impressed you've all been out and about already. i can't get otivated at all.

sorry crap splling. i'm doing this with my left hand only!

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/09/2007 12:59

oops

whos lo has had 2nd lot of jabs?

were they as bad this time around...or did you do a calpol filled pre-emptive strike??

we're off to the clinic in a bit.

Jamantha · 04/09/2007 13:04

let me know how the 2nd jabs go daisy, DD has hers next tues

faylisa · 04/09/2007 13:09

Not had second jabs with DS but with DD I always gave her Calpol 1/2 hr beforehand as that's what HV recommended. I also had dummy/bottle/breast ready to comfort her straight afterwards. Hope it goes well.

faylisa · 04/09/2007 13:21

andiem - the cake sounds yummy. you'll have to send us all a virtual piece. Is that the book from the tv series where they made choc cake with beetroot in it?

andiem · 04/09/2007 13:51

yes it is but the lemon cake recipe isn't in the book so printed it from channel 4 website. It is out of the oven and tastes lovely. dh is away for 2 weeks so am going to put half in freezer so I don't scoff the lot

have just signed up for buggyfit will have to go now

riabutterflew · 04/09/2007 15:04

Am just having an ironing break. Dh has gone to bed in pain and feeling funny in the shoulder region. He has been doing too much I think, but I aren't in the mood for being sympathetic as I'm tired too and I have a cold. I had the most violent nightmare last night. If I could write them down I could make a fortune!

DS2 will be back from school soon. I hope he has stayed out of trouble. His urine sample came back clear thank goodness, but now we have no explanation at all for the frequent weeing that makes him agressive. Bugger. At least his diet will be better if we are doing SW, but as he won't eat sugary things because he thinks it will make him sick, I don't think that's the problem.

Break over... sounds like DS2 might be playing with the wine bottle recycing

riabutterflew · 04/09/2007 15:06

yesterday I knocked over a whole stack of fruit shoots in Tesco. I couldn't see over the car seat on the trolley and steer it with one hand while DS3 sucked my finger. (DH, typically, was in the car as DS2 ran off and disappeared into the loos without telling us so he had to sit out. I'm sure it was just an excuse)

annobal · 04/09/2007 16:00

Am also having an ironing break Ria. I think my break might be till DH gets home and see if I can talk him into finishing the pile

Daisy, I love doing the museum thing in London and often do (haven't this summer though for obvious reasons). Our fave is Somerset House - the kids have great fun running through the fountains in the forecourt. So if you do ever get to London, I'll happily keep you company!

annobal · 04/09/2007 16:03

Andie, I saw a buggyfit type class in Greenwich park this morning. Not sure what it is called though as I can't seem to find anything on google. It looked great fun.

They were filming again in Greenwich Park this morning - a movie called 'Young Victoria' with Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightly's fella. Didn't see anyone famous this time though.

Jamantha · 04/09/2007 16:13

They do health walks here, with one planned to be pushchair friendly. The other week I rang to check details, was told yes it was Weds pm, never mind the weather. So I turned up at the appointed time and place, waited 20 mins and was still the only one. I'd been told it was run by someone from the health centre, so off we went to ask what was happening and there was a notice saying it was cancelled for 3 weeks for holidays. Bah! I pointed out that it would have been helpful if the coordinator could have been told, so she could have told me when I rang in, and if the sign could have been displayed at the place the group met, not in the nearby health centre and went home very disappointed. Should be starting again next week. We do plenty of walking anyway, but had been looking forward to company - DD isn't the best conversationalist at the moment

annobal · 04/09/2007 16:16

Jamantha, what a pita. Just found the class and it is Tues and Thu am (called Running Mummies). I might have a look on thu... Can't go to the gym until ds3 is 3 months old (earliest creche will take em)

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/09/2007 16:16

Annobal...was it Pushy Mothers?

andiem you're putting us all to shame. I said I would sign up to buggyfit or similar when school went back. School back and have I done it? Noooo. will phone tomorrow though, although the fact that the park it's in is the hilliest park in Leeds is somewhat off putting.

I walked to the docs for clinic today though then had to run to school so I wouldn't be late.

DD has had her jabs and has been asleep since 3 o'clock. i need to wake her up for a feed though!

Nurse told me that she may need an operation to sort out her eye. The tear duct is just not unblocking and her poor wee eye is constantly weepy and getting infected.

Aslo, next lot of jabs there are three injections

Annobal, we plan on a weekend in London at some point, so I'll take you up on that if it's before you've gone back to Oz

annobal · 04/09/2007 16:19

Thanks Daisy. Poor DD! I wonder if that is the same with DS as his eye just hasn't cleared up - dr did a swab last week adn we're waiting on results...

andiem · 04/09/2007 16:22

well cake tastes great{grin} have put half in freezer to stop me troughing it all.

Buggyfit lady sounded really nice but she said don't be out off by the hardcore ones who all run at the end

loonylovegood · 04/09/2007 16:23

Daisy, I got your parcel this morning, thank you very much! It's really lovely. You are wonderful!

TA came to visit me and we had a fun day. SHe bought her lovely doggy and we went to the park and had a picnic. It was really good to meet her and little S!

Now to catch up on today's chat and some scrubulous moves!

Just watching Nigella Express, recorded last night. The recipes are ok, but not that great and she's SO f'ing smug, with her stupid sideways glances constantly at the camera.

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/09/2007 17:08

We had a swab done as well (still waiting on results here as well) and got some anti-biotic drops as a precaution but they haven't made the slightest bit of difference.

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/09/2007 17:10

glad you like them holly, and i hope he gets some wear out of the shorts before the end of summer.

bumperlicious · 04/09/2007 17:32

for poor babyboo daisy. Hope she is ok and doesn't have to have an operation. DD's eye has just started to go gammy again.

Andie you've just motivated me to email my local buggyfit woman. I'm going to go on Friday. You've also made me want to make lemon cake!

trendaverter · 04/09/2007 17:41

Bumper...you have RL friends?? Not sure that's allowed

Had a lovely day at Holly's... her dc's are gorgeous!

Dog is now knackered, woohoo!

Got home, fed DS, done laundry, unloaded car, changed nappy, in process of cooking dogs dinner and our dinner (fajitas). Am now knackered.

bumperlicious · 04/09/2007 17:49

Well i'm getting there TA - i might scare them off yet!

Glad you and holly had a good day. Is she going to look after your dog?

bumperlicious · 04/09/2007 17:50

Hmm DD is actively watching tv well it's keeping her quiet!

daisyandbabybootoo · 04/09/2007 17:55

babyboo was getting all giddy and punchy watching power rangers yesterday

justbeme · 04/09/2007 18:44

mmm Lucy's been asleep for 3 hours now - doesnt bode well for the night!

Been reading your diet thread - good luck ev 1!! - Ive just eaten a steak pie/mash and some coconut cake I made this afternoon!

Havent got round to playing scrabbulous yet either - I'll prob be crap at it, but will give it a go when I have time.

Question for Holly - you know you said u co sleep - does W stay with you downstairs until you go to bed in a chair or something?

Last night Lucy went to sleep at 9:30 and slept for an hour and I didnt know whether to feed her upstairs and see if she'd go back to sleep - but I didnt!! so I brought her downstairs and she went to sleep again with me at midnight.
