SOunds about right TA! Except replace dh with dp and dd! Honestly my daughter could get a job as a demolition expert, she can trash a room in 5 mins flat!

I'm really crap at scrabble. Just spent the morning at hospital to get ds2's dressing changed - it is a dire place.

loonylovegood · 03/09/2007 13:11

Annobal, I hate hospitals too, esp when you go with a dc. They make you feel like a child abuser. It's awful! My dd burnt her hand on the radiator when she was about 10 months and the hospital people were horrible and told me they were going to tell social services about me!

Hope your ds is ok.

Poor DS2 Annobal. Hope he is ok, and you are too.

faylisa · 03/09/2007 13:27

I hate hospitals too - he smell makes me go all squeamish.

TA - our game is getting a bit silly.... no where to put any letters!

faylisa · 03/09/2007 13:30

I'm fed up with housework so am just sitting lookin at the mess instead

trendaverter · 03/09/2007 14:21

faylisa I resigned, you win!

loonylovegood · 03/09/2007 14:23

Ta I've now cleaned the bathroom, so if you need the loo at my house you won't have to go in squalor! I'm just about to message you!

lol holly you paint such a pretty picture

sputnik · 03/09/2007 15:04

just had a phone call asking if they should send the school bus for DD . Brought it home to me she should be starting at the state nursery next week. not exactly school but it's part of the state system and local school. I am totally clueless as neither me or DH know how any of this works, ie do they have to be there at a certain time, can they nap there etc etc. Theree was supposed to be a meeting at the school but haven't had word of it yet.
To top it all our neighbour says a really crappy teacher is coming back after a year off, there's too many kids - we might have to end up enrolling elsewhere.... in short, I am panicking a bit

Oh and she has to wear an overall that is pink, gingham and has a peter pan collar. I am allergic to all three.

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/09/2007 15:23

we have been busy bees....all this talk of cleaning has made me come out in a rash!

i've walked for miiiiles today. we left the house about 11 and have just got back. ds scootered the whole time as well...and was quite well behaved in the shops. i think we covered about 5 miles. my legs now hurt and my dodgy unstable pelvis is just that...dodgy and unstable!

Sputnik....surely you can't be allergic to this? it's just too cute!

and i forgot swmming startsd tonight. ds will be beside himself with fatigue by bedtime!

yat...school back tomorrow!!!

sputnik · 03/09/2007 15:28

God that Fly lady is hysterically funny. "Wheree are your shoes?" I hate wearing shoes in the house, no one is going to convince me to wear shoes all day, i have failed on day 2! might go and shine my sink if baby sleeps, but a bit afraid of what I might catch....

sputnik · 03/09/2007 15:34

Well it's not pale pink and has cheerful flowers so no, but I'd still prefer one with spaceships!

What are you doing here anyway?

FLY makes me PMSL! If I followed that I'd feel really great about the amount of housework I do. The lists usually read-

-Get myself and the dcs up.
-Get myself and the dcs dressed.
-Put load of washing on.
-Put load of washing on the line.
-Put load of nappies on.
-Put load of nappies on the line.
-Make myself and the dcs lunch.
-Eat said lunch.
-Put dcs down for a nap.
-Clean bathroom.
-Get dcs up from nap.
-Bf every few hours.

Well that is what I have done today. Written down like that it looks like loads!

I am goddess of all housework!!

trendaverter · 03/09/2007 15:55

wtf is FLY?

loonylovegood · 03/09/2007 15:55

DG I would have to be in hospital for a couple of days. They see children as a day case, but adults need to stay in longer as it is a worse operation due to the increased risk of haemorraging. Also the anaesthetic can affect supply.

Some dumb housework thread thing. It's for those people who enjoy housework !

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/09/2007 16:01

Oooh DG, did you go the Thai place on the high street? I used to go there all the time.

I'm here cos my pelvis feels like it's going to split in two after that unaccustomed burst of exercise.....if I tried to clean the bath right now, I'd fall in and wouldn't be able to get out again.

I'm dipping in between sewing trouser hems and preparing for a pyjama party!

DS has decided he wants to have a pj party tonight. So, as soon as we get home from swimming, it's back into our pjs for party food. He chose all he wanted as well, and was surprisingly healthy...no sweets or crisps! Bless him, no idea where he got the idea from, but a pyjama party it is!

and i resisted the urge to but wine in the supermarket...well done me.

Link to the fly ladsy thread please. Is this flybabies you're all doing? I like the look of the emergency fly bumper (and top marks to you for getting your DH fully involved and supporting your MN habit)

Holly/bumper/charlie/sputnik/andiem... tis your turn!

loonylovegood · 03/09/2007 16:04

Wow daisy, that sounds like so much fun! There is nothing better than snuggling up with your loved ones, eating snacks and watching tv in your pjs!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/09/2007 16:06

DS is happily checking DDs nappy to see if she is wet or pooey

Now I have to go and fix her as he has pulled the front down to have a look and she's bursting out all over the place now!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 03/09/2007 16:08

holly, one of my "lifestyle" changes is to do more fun stuff with DS and try to get our relationship back to what it was pre-pregnancy!

loonylovegood · 03/09/2007 16:12

Well done then daisy, you are doing very well on the lifestyle changes thing! I'm not, can't stop scrabbing!

I stupidly promised dp shepherds' pie for dinner. A decision I'm beginning to regret! S'pose I'd best go and start peeling spuds then!
