Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

Thanks sputnik! Luckily I'd put the bath friends away or they would have ended up in the bath too!!

Perhaps bumper! Whoops!

loonylovegood · 28/08/2007 12:12

I think I may be too tired, I just cried at the new SMA advert!

Helloooo!
Yes I am all better now, I have given myself the stomach test by going out for lunch with my mum to an all you can eat indian, I had lots of spice and dodgy things and I seem to be ok.
Yes I will likely get there early tomorrow, so see you there annobal!
Shall we say meet at the cafe again?

trendaverter · 28/08/2007 15:19

You CRIED at the new SMA advert?
PMSL

I remember being known as the ice bitch at work (behind my back, obviously, but I found out), if only they knew at the heights of my hormonal and emotional weirdness I would cry just standing looking at magazines in WH Smith. I think it was a hair style magazine at the time.

Yay motherhood!

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 15:24

good afternoon.....had a horrible morning! I got DS to try on his school shoes (only bought for the last 1/2 term) and yup, too blardy small! We had to do an emergency shoe shop and were waiting in Clark's for over an hour with lots of screaming grumpy kids and harrassed fed up mums The choice was rubbish as well and she tried to impress me with the shoes with toys under the in-sole. DS piped up, "I'm not having those as its just a rubbishy gimmick and I would've expected more from Clark's".....now I wonder where he heard that

DG...I'll let you know next time we're in Fife!

It's just us girls here this afternoon...DS gone to his GPs and won't be home till tomorrow bed-time

Now as you ladies will be at the Horniman, I'll have no option but to get on with some housework!

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 15:38

glad you're feeling better TA...the curry will either kill you or cure you

Charlie999 · 28/08/2007 15:44

Are we meeting at a particular time? Will you recognise me from my FB picture anyone?

Short, fat, blond, probably harassed, with a bloody huge buggy that I struggle through doorways with ...oh and a 12 week old DD

LOL at housework Daisy - I've never done so little housework since being on mat leave

trendaverter · 28/08/2007 15:48

I will be there 10.30-11 ish.
I am blonde and fat and I have a bugaboo, because I am a chav/celeb wannabe.
I will be the one with the screaming baby.

Charlie999 · 28/08/2007 16:07

Am going to show my age now........don't even know what a bugaboo looks like!

I just went to a shop, had someone demonstrate a travel system to me, thought it looked ok, included everything I could possibly want (and probably some stuff I wouldn't) and bought it there and then (and later had to buy a new car to put the car seat into }

Hope to be there a similar sort of time - will jump in the car after morning feed!

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 16:10

get making yellow smiley face sticker/badges. i suggested that for the last yorkshire meet up....i think it worked quite well, but i couldn't go in the end!

can't remember who was looking for re-usable pull-ups/pyjama pants, but I found these. I'm going to order a pair to try out with DS as he's still not dry at night and huggies are horribly expensive

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 16:12

I forgot to say earlier....I'm wearing my pre-preg jeans today .....

....but only cos they are stretchy denim

Jamantha · 28/08/2007 16:13

My parents and brother went to Hornimans on Sunday, said it was great Hope you all have a fab time. I won't be joining you, will finally be having my 6 week check, now DD is 11 weeks. (She had hers and was fine but I've had to wait)

Sorry to hear about more bad news for Trace - thinking of you.

andiem · 28/08/2007 16:50

Ok ladies I will be blondish one with baby and ds in tow he is blond and on my profile so you may recognise him. Near the cafe sounds great will be there anytime from 11ish onwards depending on feeding/sleeping.

TA I cannot beleive you went for an indian all you can eat your poor stomach

andiem · 28/08/2007 16:51

By the way I have registered with facebook but have no idea how it works

Charlie999 · 28/08/2007 17:09

Andiem - I could invite you onto FB - but no idea how! Think its because my work e-mail is web-mail...perhaps someone with your e-mail address in outlook or something can invite you...

God I do hope I don't go up to some complete stranger tomorrow and make a prat of myself

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 17:17

andiem · 28/08/2007 17:43

sputnik · 28/08/2007 18:45

Andiem, if you join the junee 07 mummies club on fb I think most of us have put our mumsnet names there

Charlie999 · 28/08/2007 18:51

Andiem - have found you on FB and invited you to be my friend

BadZelda · 28/08/2007 18:54

DH is off work this week as we're off on holiday on Friday...so he'll be coming to wrangle Ella. This means I might actually have time to talk to people this time ;)

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 19:15

oh the luxury of being able to have a holiday during term time....enjoy it while it lasts BZ!!

Sainsbury's have 15% off their school clothes if anyone is interested. I just got a 2 pack of trousers for £4.75....they're practically disposable at that price...which is just as well the wear and tear they get from my DS!!

BadZelda · 28/08/2007 19:21

But surely missing a bit of school time isn't really an issue till they get to secondary school?

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 19:30

ds primary takes a very dim view of it. you have to have permission from the head teacher!
