Couldnt see a post natal group so have taken it upon myself to start one! Will obviously still keep up on antenatal also until babies have all arrived!

Shall we start a list of arrivals?

@db92 do you need to change him in the night? I put on a bigger size nappy for better absorbency and only change if dirty not just wet. That might help save time/get him back down quicker?

I sympathise though, I take ages to get back to sleep after (sometimes not at all before he’s awake again).

RolyHappyNorrieTagBetty · 28/10/2019 12:43

@db92 we're still at 3 hourly wakes overnight and also finding it's a good hour to feed/burp/change if needed and resettle. My fitbit says exactly the same! Average sleep between feeds is about 2hrs-2hrs20. Exhausting!

Megan2018 · 28/10/2019 15:01

@DustyDoorframes
Sadly not riding yet, although agree the weather is lovely for it! Back doing stable jobs but can only manage an hour away from baby max so no chance of riding.
Ordered a breast pump so will try a few bottles soon but don’t feel ready to leave her for longer than an hour yet, so imagine it’ll be post Christmas when she’s 3-4 months.
I miss it but not as much as I thought, although hated not mucking out more weirdly! As long as I get a daily pony snog and my hands dirty I’m ok Grin

happydays00 · 28/10/2019 15:35

@RolyHappyNorrieTagBetty yes, as he's 6 weeks adjusted (4 walks prem) he's coming up to a leap which would make sense. Today has been a slightly better day so remaining optimistic for tonight 😬😬

@DustyDoorframes I'll see how he gets on tonight, he's feeding a lot (just not from the breast) so seems really unlikely to be ear ache or something?!

RolyHappyNorrieTagBetty · 28/10/2019 16:09

@happydays00 will keep my fingers crossed for you. My first was 4 weeks prem too and everything seemed that little bit harder for him to adjust to at the start!

Dipsy77 · 28/10/2019 16:24

@IVEgotthePUMPKINS I got my AF last week at 5 weeks was horrendous and lasted 7 days glad that's out of the way just hoping they don't continue to be as heavy or long !

db92 · 28/10/2019 18:17

@April88 I didn't even think of that! I have a pack of next size up so will try that tonight.
We have a baby that just loves to be cuddled and gets to a certain point every morning when he just won't settle back in his cot. So less time out of the cot will hopefully help.

@RolyHappyNorrieTagBetty I've been tempted to take my Fitbit off before bed because it's so depressing!!

On a positive note, we are getting all the smiles and some chatter every evening now which just makes it all worth it Grin

DustyDoorframes · 28/10/2019 20:17

Ugh I've got a temperature and sore breasts. It's mastitis, isn't it?? Presumably brought on by mucking about with tube feeding in hospital last week. Ho hum, I've had an extraordinarily easy ride with breastfeeding all 3 so far, so I can't really complain (though I am complaining!! Grrr!)

boodles101 · 28/10/2019 21:06

IVEgotthePUMPKINS I noticed some ewcm at 6 weeks then exactly 2 weeks later had some spotting so thought AF was returning so started taking my pill. I had zero cramps or pain which is unusual then the next day some more spotting but then nothing after that. Not sure if that was supposed to be AF or not!!

Stroan · 28/10/2019 22:25

Aww @DustyDoorframes that's really not fair, is it? Hope it clears soon. Had it once last time, not fun.

IVEgotthePUMPKINS · 28/10/2019 23:40

boodles funny you should say that, i had ewcm at 5ish weeks, now 7 weeks and nothing! Cant remember how long it took last time!

yevans · 29/10/2019 07:53

Had our first three hour stint between night feeds last night and I'm overly excited! Hopefully this is the end of the two hourly feeds...but I'm not holding my breath 😂 also anyone have any tips on getting rid of little lumps in your boob? I have one boob where they keep coming back no matter how much she feeds off that one. They don't hurt and no signs of mastitis yet but I'm worried if they keep coming back that it might develop!

Myspiritan · 29/10/2019 07:56

Oh no @DustyDoorframes I hope you can rest up!

I’m with the two hourly over night feeders, I’ve had chats with DD, told her she’s 9 weeks and too old for this nonsense but she is outright ignoring me. Last night was awful, I hate sleep deprivation! It literally makes me feel like my brain is shutting down and my eyes can’t see! She’s done 2 or 3 random nights where she’s stretched the time between feeds and I felt amazing the next day... one day I’ll feel like that every day right?!

happydays00 · 29/10/2019 12:03

Thankfully last night was back to normal and he's also back to feeding from the breast as well. Very, very odd. Just when you think you have these babies figured out 🤷‍♀️

Myspiritan · 29/10/2019 12:33

That must be a relief @happydays00! Phew!

DustyDoorframes · 29/10/2019 12:46

Glad to hear it @happydays00 ! They are such puzzles!
I think I might have escaped the mastitis- woke up feeling much much better today so haven't rung the GP. Fingers crossed it was just the cold we've all had, plus sleeping funny in my boobs!

On the topic of boobs- figleaves has 20% off today in case anyone is in the market for bras!

happydays00 · 29/10/2019 12:57

@DustyDoorframes that's a relief!! Hoping you can resume feeding as normal now and nip anything brewing in the bud!

DS has been enjoying sleeping in the pram in the garden in this sunshine (obviously all wrapped up) - a bit gutted it looks like rain, rain, rain for the next week at least 😩

kyles101 · 30/10/2019 08:00

Any idea how to fix my baby? Wake up time is now 5:30 since the clocks went back - I could cope with 6:30 but definitely can't do 5:30 😳

DustyDoorframes · 30/10/2019 12:01

@kyles101 jet lagged baby!! Hopefully will adjust soon!

TMI alert! I spent an hour in the bath last night unblocking a milk duct, 5.5 years of breastfeeding and haven't had to do this before. Basically squeezed toothpaste-like stuck milk out of my boob tiny bit by tiny bit. That had better sort it! It's weirdly satisfying, like squeezing a very slow spot...

RolyHappyNorrieTagBetty · 30/10/2019 13:00

@DustyDoorframes oh god I had one of those once, the pure relief of getting the lump out (as gross as it was) was immense! Fingers crossed that's the last of it for you.

@kyles101 we we're awarded a 6.20am wake up this morning as some sort of special treat (I think because baby decided on 4 night feeds Hmm) but we're usually in the half 5 camp too. Not fun at all is it!
DC1s wake up time from birth to 5 months was 2am which was utterly horrific, luckily he's a solid 12 hours a night toddler now so I'm just trying to focus on the fact it can get better!!

kyles101 · 30/10/2019 14:17

Ew, did it hurt @DustyDoorframes ? Love a spot squeeze though!!

@RolyHappyNorrieTagBetty it's amazing how 6:20 quickly becomes a lay in!!

My beautiful baby boy had to have his first jabs this morning. I've never heard him make a noise remotely like it. I think I would have found it less painful if they'd just gouged my heart out with a spoon. He was in such a lovely mood in the waiting room too, cooing and laughing like mad ☹️

DustyDoorframes · 30/10/2019 15:34

Aaa @kyles101 jabs are so sad! I feel for the nurses, spending their day greeting lovely happy babes and then putting them into despair!
Squeezing out the blockage hurt a lot less than my 6 year old flopping onto my sore boob earlier in the day! Still a bit sore today, so might try again this evening (although maybe it's just a bit bruised from all the squeezing!)

IVEgotthePUMPKINS · 30/10/2019 17:08

BabyDECAF has produced two GINORMOUS poos today. One up to his shoulders and the other down both legs of sleepsuit. Yuck.

Jabs here next week. Anyone know how far after turning three children get jabs? Wondering if i can get both done at once for dc4 and 5 although that may be a mega sob fest ...

Stroan · 30/10/2019 20:02

DS is so choked up and snuffly, he's really struggling to feed but was somehow awake for almost all the day. He had maybe 3x15 minute cat naps on me from 6.30am until 5.30pm. not upset, just clingy and awake.

Getting a little worried about bronchiolitis (hey @DustyDoorframes) as his breath CAN be raspy, I can hear all the gunk in there and he can't clear it. Saline spray is just coming back out his eyes as he is so blocked up. If I phone NHS 24 I know they will send me to out of hours but I don't think he is that bad. Or am I being TOO laid-back?

Stroan · 30/10/2019 20:22

@ivegotthepumpkins it was 3y4m for DD. And it was awful, much worse than the baby ones that she forgot quickly!
