Couldnt see a post natal group so have taken it upon myself to start one! Will obviously still keep up on antenatal also until babies have all arrived!

Shall we start a list of arrivals?

Hope you have a great night out @kyles101 and that it all goes to plan! I smiled at the bra comment...I've not managed to get out of them yet. And I hate bloody wearing a bra to sleep

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/10/2019 17:03

Well i have officially sorted out the too small vests and sleepsuits Sad all into a charity bag except for the first one he wore which will go in the memory box along with hospital hat which also doesnt fit now!

Oh decaf!!!!!! I can't bear the thought! You are a very strong woman!!!!
My very dear cousin is pregnant, due late November, so I'm hoping I'll be able to bear to give her things.

Horehound · 04/10/2019 17:13

I'll prob have another. I would prefer sooner rather than later cause I'm about to be 33 but me and my brother have 1.5 years between us and when we were young we fought like mad. Although the we get on well now. And on the contrary my husband havery 7 years between he and his sister and they barely talk!

IVEgottheDECAF · 04/10/2019 17:25

My favourite of all my dcs age gaps atm is dc1 and 2 who are 16m apart. Yes they piss each other off at times but they've always had each other, they are like a double act.

The baby clothes sorting is purely due to there being SO MUCH FUCKING STUFF in my house right now Blush its stressing me out, there is stuff everywhere. One of the dc has a birthday this month which means more stuff. Then its not long til Christmas which means more stuff 😑

@IVEgottheDECAF I just did the same! He's growing so fast!

Megan2018 · 04/10/2019 19:16

No chance of more babies here! At 41 and 46 we don’t have time. We couldn’t afford 2 in nursery, but in 4 years time we’d be far too old. if we’d met earlier in life then probably would have wanted 2 but its not meant to be.

boodles101 · 04/10/2019 19:20

kyles enjoy your evening and non nursing bra! Yes you can go on the pill but it'll be the mini pill if youre breastfeeding.

Tefiti2 · 04/10/2019 22:10

Oh god.. the six week growth spurt has hit here... my poor boobs!! DD has been constantly on them since about 5pm, every time she comes off she just screams for more! Is anyone else in cluster feeding pandemonium?

Horehound · 04/10/2019 22:34

@Tefiti2

Ohhh so that's what's going on with my baby! Thank you!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 04/10/2019 22:57

@Tefiti2 yes! DD (5.5 weeks) has fed pretty much constantly from 8:30pm and is still going strong. I am a prune.

Megan2018 · 05/10/2019 00:02

We cluster feed most eves or overnight and not 3 weeks old yet. Currently in hour 6 and no sign of any let up. I just watch a lot of TV. We have lots of wet and dirty nappies and when not cluster feeding she sleeps well so don’t think it’s anything abnormal.

Very hot boobs tonight though and sensitive nips! Although feeding itself still comfortable. I am paranoid about oral thrush as many on the facebook group have had it!

@Senners I don't think anything could have prepared me for my first and the lack of sleep. I remember someone asking me when she was six weeks old how I was enjoying it and I remember my reply was that I wasn't!

Decaf. I know what you mean about stuff, drives you nuts doesn't it. My DH keeps everything - he'll even get stuff out the bin I've chucked out!

Does anyone else have a cranky baby? I can't put Nate down during the day - is 5 1/2 weeks. Is a miracle if he sits for five minutes on his own. Not getting any use out of his play mat at the moment or his bouncer. I love the cuddles but is hard to do anything! Think I might get a carrier? He does seem to suffer with non stop farts so am sure this doesn't help Confused

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/10/2019 12:15

BabyDECAF looks like he has oral thrush, none of my others have had this. He is still taking plenty of milk so i assume i can wait til monday to see the gp?

Hi everyone! Been meaning to post on here all week but days keep on flying by. Posted on other thread but quite late, baby Science arrived on 27/09 after a whirlwind induction.

Been great to read all the updates and how everyone’s getting on.

I’ve been totally amazed by this baby. Having spent my 20’s insistent that I didn’t want DC, changing my mind after meeting DH but then not enjoying pregnancy, what I feel for this baby is stronger than I ever imagined and I can’t wait to do it again!

Horehound · 05/10/2019 12:39

@Geegrl19 does he struggle with the farts at all? I'm now using infacol because Arthur really does struggle and this helps him alot.
I don't really have a cranky baby but he is sick quite often even laying back slightly. This is what I'm struggling with..I have to hold him up for agggeesss and I really just want a blooming baby seat suitable for a baby under 6 months that keeps him up. These don't seem to be a thing! I'm making nests for him to sit in using my v pillow and stuff!

@IVEgottheDECAF is it deffo Orlando thrush? I noticed Arthur has a white tongue a lot but at 6 week check doctor said it was just milk, which I did think it was but had to check for piece of mind.

@Fortheloveofscience congratulations and what a lovely post. It is amazing how much we feel for these little cutie pies isn't it?!

Geegrl19 · 05/10/2019 12:46

@horehound yes, he struggles farting and will sometimes let out a high pitched squeal. Is bad if he's feeding as he'll be squirming around with my nipple in his mouth, ouchy! I'll invest in some infacol then I think.

Is hard if you can't lay them flat with their tummy pain. I know if I had a belly ache I wouldn't want to lay flat on my back

Horehound · 05/10/2019 12:46

I piled this on this other thread I'm getting mixed up between the 2!
Maybe @IVEgottheDECAF you would know?
*50Horehound

I noticed twice latlst night whilst doing a nappy change that when my boy farts or poops in a sort of explosion way, pee just automatically shoots out.
Is that normal?!*

Horehound · 05/10/2019 12:48

@Geegrl19 ah yeh then I think that will really help. We started with one dropper full then after a week have increased to 2. And also spending a long time burping him too. Every burp is 1 less fart :D

Stroan · 05/10/2019 15:57

@Geegrl19 he's not cranky but is rarely put down during the day. I can occasionally get him into his bouncer if the stars align but normally he wakes up about 30 seconds later and is impossible to settle without feeding. So unless I desperately need to do something, I don't bother. He is starting to be ok on the playmat for 5-10 minutes when awake.

I don't mind too much, he's my last baby and I love the cuddles.

Senners · 06/10/2019 15:29

Feeling a little less teary now one week into motherhood. My baby has her nights and days the wrong way round, and poos/wees almost every time we go to change her nappy 😩 we wait a while while she's on the Matt but as soon as we put the fresh one on she shoots out some more! Any tips on this? Also I've heard the night day thing will correct itself, she sleeps 3-4 hours at a time in the day but at night is up every 1-2 hours ... We've tried keeping her night times calm and quiet and day times busier but she just wakes feeds changes n falls asleep straight away in the day! Do the same at night and she doesn't settle for a good while ... Any tips again? This thread has already taught me so much as a FTM, thank you!

yevans · 06/10/2019 16:24

@senners we found the same with the nappies, DH realised if he blows cold air on her down there or wafts them a bit then pop the old nappy back over for a minute, if she's going to go then that normally sets her off and you don't waste a fresh nappy!

IVEgottheDECAF · 06/10/2019 17:48

@Horehound i have replied on the other thread!
