I'm hoping to get the chance to post some photos on facebook later today, DCs permitting

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/08/2007 13:02

Hi everyone, well done to My2cents but that she had such a rough time.

Daisy, am very of your sleep. Am thinking of moving C into his own room as I'm knackered!

Charlie999 · 14/08/2007 14:08

It made a huge difference to the quality of my sleep when I moved DD into her own room Annobal!

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/08/2007 14:50

AAArgggh - now I have to keep up with facebook as well as mumsnet. I think I have added everyone to my list, apologies if I've missed you, not quite sure what i'm doing with it yet. The photos of all the lo's are just gorgeous.

DD had her injections today - pretty traumatic, she screamed up into my face with such a look of bewilderment & betrayal that I almost cried myself.
Still now she is asleep in her carrycot, in the afternoon - virtually unheard of around here. I have made & eaten my lunch in peace & now can finally get some housework done. Roll on 4 weeks & the next batch of jags. Oh I think I'm truly a bad mummy

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/08/2007 15:03

I was a gibbering wreck after DS had his five years ago. If it's any consolation it gets easier each time and they forget quickly. DS on the other hand is still harping on about his pre-school boosters six months after the event.

Have had to resort to the big computer as my laptop isn't playing. It will restrict my on-line activities somewhat as I can't feed DD or watch TV whilst on here!

I think DD has a bit of a poorly tummy. I've had three vey mucousy poos in the last two days and all she's done is sleep. Her nappies are still nice and wet, but I'm trying to make a point of not letting her sleep too much.

the older ones are being creative with plasticene in the kitchen, and today we have made chocolate muffins, done some artwork and made necklaces. {daisy polishes her parenting/childminding halo }

off to feed DD....back later!

Am now on day 2 of actually looking after both my children all day on my own DD's nursery closed for a week. Bloody hell, how do you others, eg Foxy, Annobal, manage it? Only thing to do is make sure we go out in the morning. DD is now napping, post nap she is usually grumpy and whingy for a bit, but yesterday she kept it up for a couple of hours, til I could quite happily drowned her in the bath. Am dreading her waking up.

sputnik · 14/08/2007 15:35

oh oh, she's waking up.....

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/08/2007 17:41

it's all going tits up here. the boys are stir crazy and starting to fight, em is screaming if put down, i'm trying to cook tea, but forgot to take the sausages out of the freezer and the kitchen roof is leaking.

we had the garage re-roofed a couple of weeks ago and water is coming in at the junction of the kitchen/garage and i can't get hold of the roofer.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Hello

Charlie999 · 14/08/2007 19:29

Hello Derlor - good holiday? Were you gone for a fortnight?

Blimey Daisy - have things calmed down at all?

riabutterflew · 14/08/2007 19:41

sounds a bit naff daisy. hope it's better now.

Weight. Yuk. I had lost 6lb and have regained 4lb in the week since Dh came out of hospital (kitkats on the run). Would be doing slimming world if I had time for the prep involved. Think I will start properly in Sept when the boys at school and hopefully will be more organised. I have to lose weight by xmas as my sister might be coming from Kuwait. Yippee (but need to be thinner.)

justbeme · 14/08/2007 19:47

hi ria - have missed yr wit on here - sorry 2 hear things not so good.
lo has hardly slept 2day and is currently crying in my arms - again! bought her some newborn dummies 2day and she doesnt like them - wot a waste!

derlor · 14/08/2007 19:50

Hi lovely mummies,
JBM can't you just sellotape it in place and encourage her to get used to it!!!!????
Hey Ria, how are you?
i've been on holiday for a week but then just took a break from my MN world and my RL world too as i was feeling a bit low - all better now so delighted to be back!

derlor · 14/08/2007 19:52

oh sorry Charlie, meant to put your name in front of my last paragraph - i'm not ignoring you.

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/08/2007 20:37

Welcome back Derlor
JBM my DD refuses to take a dummy too. I try to hold it in & she screams out the sides of her mouth & spits it out as soon as I let go. Funnily enough she will suck on anything else.

sputnik · 14/08/2007 20:49

Welcome back Derlor Is that the official NHS linee on dummy acceptace then
Another dummy refusenik here too, DD was the same.
I've fallen off the weightloss wagon a bit too this week as don't have the oportunity to exercise with DD at home in the mornings. Also made the mistake of buying a large tub of ice cream.... at least it's finished now and won't be tempting me from the freezer any longer.

sputnik · 14/08/2007 20:50

And still didb't sort out my photos for facebook.....

justbeme · 14/08/2007 20:51

wow - she's gone to sleep now!!
I normally have Lucy downstairs with me till I go to bed .
Gave her a bath with her new oilatum (sp?) and then covered her in double base (both from the health visitor today as her "heat rash" still there after 10 days) and she fell asleep in her big cot whilst i was trying to put together her new Chicco activity wotsit from john lewis.
But bugger me, a bit of plastic is stuck on one side - so looks like im gonna have to make another trip to exchange it - Pain in the arse!

Glad to hear your feeling better Derlor.

sputnik · 14/08/2007 20:54

Just seen your photos Tallulah, she is gorgeous. Another with loads of hair eh? Mine's a baldie

derlor · 14/08/2007 21:03

right i've joined the facebook thingy but don't have a farking clue who some of you are?????? or if i've even got in touch with everyone. i think a missed a mass join up, maybe?????

daisyandbabybootoo · 14/08/2007 21:04

Hi Derlor...glad you're back on form.

I had a screaming hissy fit at my DS tomight and told him if he answered me back once more I was going to kill him, which of course he took literally . I also held his gob shut so I could yell at him interupted . They totally trashed his room earlier and all his books and the boxes for his toys are now smashed up and broken. It looked like someone had emptied all his toys out randomly and then given the room a stir with a shitty stick!

I asked them to tidy up, and when I went back up to check on them, DS was sitting on the bed directing his cousins where to put things. Sad to say i lost it completely and made him pick up every single thing by himself and confiscated all the broken stuff and told him it's going in the bin.

And DD screamed and screamed as she got upset by my shouting. I hsd to feed her to get her to calm down

And after such a lovely day too....i guess I can hand back that parenting halo I was so lovingly polishing earlier.

arse

Thanks Sputnik - I love her hair but it is all falling out now. Every morning it looks like a black cat has slept in her moses basket. She will be joining the ranks of the baldies before too long!

justbeme · 14/08/2007 21:06

Derlor tell me one of your "friends" and your first name and I'll contact you!! (im not sure how else to do it!!)

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/08/2007 21:08

Aww what a shame Daisy - pour yourself a large glass of wine & put your feet up. Tomorrow's another day.
