Hi

Well I finally got on here for a little while,I certainly dont remember being this tired with Deanna.I feel absolutely shattered all day long.DH had to come home from work to look after Deanna today as I kept feeling like I was going to go to sleep.
Going to see doc about pregnancy tomorrow .

Deannas doing well.she can now roll both ways and is having 2 meals a day, today it was creamed porridge and then sweet potato and parsnip, pureed myself

Just looked at a friends profile and shes feeding her 8 week old baby rice

Hope everyones well

kittywits · 14/08/2007 22:23

Hi Shanks, well the more kids you have the more knackered you are when preg.... a warning!! Hope evrything's going well with it all though

Sazzy, glad you had a brill holiday , good to have you back

Phew, been reading all the posts. Lovely pic of Diva and Mossy and babes...awww, you all look great.
Lovely pic of Ronnie, what a cutie and Joseph all smiles.

I must try and post some pictures some time!

Muppet, glad you made it to Hogworts, I'd love to go (and live there and have a pet owl etc)

Shanks, much sympathy, hopefully you'll feel better in the second trimester.

Diva, the alternative dress might do the trick, it looks lovely. My sister must have tried on a thousand dresses for her wedding. Nothing was quite right but finally we spotted the one she wore and she was stunning in it. It was worth the effort.

Evenhope, Hasan does the same thing when feeding and I think its funny and cute

Dolly, hope you are all better now?

Piffle, nightmare for you, it is still early days, I hope a good solution comes to light, that suits the whole family.

Hi to everyone generally!

Rosylily · 15/08/2007 09:12

Now I'm off to make my confessions on the lardy thread

Rosylily · 15/08/2007 09:56

I'm having problems with a little biter...any suggestions? It's sore!

Piffle · 15/08/2007 12:57

rosy Finn went through a biting phase a cpl of wks ago
I reacted shriked and sscreamed and this seemd to put him off altogether so I expressed and fed him a few times that way
I tired to keep him to sleepy feeds when he did not bite and stretched his feeds out as logn as poss to make sure he was properly hungry and if he dithered I would put it away.
Last week he was still clamping a bit after finishing and I just said firmly and sharply no thanks and he dropped
Not done it since....

Well Finn rolls and rolls and rolls... Having to hoover lots as his pincer grip is damned good and he was finding all off DD's cake crumbs today...

Last two hen nights I was invited to kids got hideously sick BOTH times - my luck huh!
Diva I'm 14 up top and 10 bottoms - dress is a swear word in our house. Is their a dressmaker locally who could help tailor one to fit nicely?

Kiwi that's madness surely a mistake???

Piffle · 15/08/2007 12:59

shanks hopefully tiredness will ease the further along you get -I'm glad mine were well spaced out after reading how tired it can be having them close together

Mossy · 15/08/2007 13:20

Shanks you must be knakcered you poor thing! Did I hear you say you were on Facebook btw? Can't recall. I am on there as Ruth Moss (Manchester) if you take a look.

Rosy the biting sounds painful! Ouch! Bertie isn't quite biting yet but has started trying to use my nips as a teething ring. I keep my little finger close by and break him off when he starts!

Kitty their poor hair!! Ah well it'll grow back I suppose. Such a shame you couldn't go to the champers do, maybe we should have a virtual one here one night and all get dressed up?

Foxy / Piffle / Diva I am of you with your reverse pear shapes. I am now massive up top... but still my arse is lardier!!

Took Bertie swimming today, wore him out.

Dh has been signed off work for a week with his eye. He wouldn't have been signed off at all but I went with him and got the Dr to write him a note. Sometimes you need a Scouser with you when you go the Doctor's.

divastrop · 15/08/2007 19:53

hi all.

ive read this thread about 6 times today but never got a chance to reply due to teething babies and PITA kids.

piffle/muppet/fox and anyone else on here with 3 children-dont have anymore!3 is a perfect number, ive discovered.when theres more than 3 then you can have 2 fights/arguments going on at exactly the same time and its too much to cope with

oh feck now dd2 is crying.bloody teeth

shanks313 · 15/08/2007 21:11

Mossy-yes Im on Facebook,I will take a look for you next time Im on there

Went to docs today and it just seemed like yesterday that I was there for Deanna hehe.Blood tests booked for next Monday and midwife in a few weeks time.EDD is April 5th at the moment.
Got my copy of Emmas Diary etc lol

Hope all are well, going for an early night now

divastrop · 15/08/2007 21:44

shanks-i felt the same when i was going for my appointments for Elsie.it is hard work being pregnant when you already have a lo,but IME the tiredness still passes after 12-14 weeks.then you bloom(unless you are me lol)

i went to debenhams today and tried on some evening gowns to see what size would fit me.a 12 fitted me fine in most styles.

foxcub · 15/08/2007 23:33

Hi everyone

[falls asleep through sheer exhaustion]

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Mossy · 16/08/2007 07:24

Morning all, really busy day today as I'm getting ready for another big trip to birmingham with Bertie to my bezzie mate's wedding. This involves packing clothes for three days for me and him, and a car seat for taxi journeys, which I have to carry around with me whilst he is in his sling... arrgh! Dh can't drive you see he's been signed off work with his eye for a week to rest it.

Still, it's not too bad, I'll enjoy myself more seeing all my old mates from uni and beyond... and I think Bertie may get lots of attention!!

Shanks you must be knackered!! The thought of being pregnant now... arrgh! Although I'm I'm also glad as well in a way it's not me, iyswim!

Foxy go get some rest!

Diva... so excited about your dress, I love that one with the ribbon front!!

muppethasakitten · 16/08/2007 08:53

mossy - have a wonderful time at the wedding - bet Bertie will get loads of attention from everyone! It'll be worth the massive organisation requirements

foxy - why so tired???

I've been up since 3.30 with Samuel who is refusing to go in his cot at night! Not quite sure what I'll do really... he still feeds about 4/5 times a night so he's in our bed... but he's getting so huge he takes up ALL the room and I'm paranoid about dh in there with us. Don't want to banish him from bed as I like it with us all in there...

Shanks - not surprised you're knackered. Luckily for you Deanna always sounds such an easy baby... bless her... wonder what this one will be like?

Rosy... second what piff said re biting... except I was told to actually put Samuel down next to me and not shout... whenever I shouted Samuel laughed and would do it again (dear god he is clearly a sadist)

diva - have noted your advice re stopping at 3... sounds very wise! No plans EVER for 4 here! (although dh would like 4/5) could not even BEGIN to imagine what it would be like to have arguments in stereo - dd and ds1 are being SUCH PITA kids at the mo on school hols... I think I would walk out if I had to cope with it twofold!

Sazzy - glad you had good hols... how was the weather in devon? We had great sunny (if windy) days up in northumberland. Really don't know why more people don't head up there instead of the South West. It's so beautiful there.

Kitty hope your dh enjoys the do. Kids are a nightmare with scissors aren't they? But cutting hair with them is quite a delicious feeling isn't it I can't blame them for experimenting! My ds1 did it a couple of years ago... think i took a photo.... i'll see if I can find it...

muppethasakitten · 16/08/2007 08:58

Yeeeesss... he didn't want a fringe anymore as I recall...

... have uploaded the photo...

... is yours any worse kitty????????

Rosylily · 16/08/2007 10:27

Lol Muppet. Ooh yes I remember how it felt...as a child I just wanted to snip snip snip so much!
Now dd plays with my old pippa doll with the very short hairdo.

foxcub · 16/08/2007 10:33

Muppet LOL!!

Mossy have a great time!

Rosy Hi [waves]

woke yesterday at 5am with blocked duct so was very tired by night.

trying to teach DS1 to ride his bike without his stabilisers this week

divastrop · 16/08/2007 16:48

muppet-thats very similar to my dd1's 'do'

mossy-have a great time.btw there isnt a bravissimo in preston, the nearest is manchester, and i cant go to manchester as both xp and xh live there(as far as i know)

just waiting for some money to clear in paypal then we can order the outfits

Elsie will be going in the room with dd2 soon.she generally sleeps from 7.30/8ish till 6/6.30 although with her teething now anything could happen.shes trying to shove a whole rattle in her mouth atm.

Rosylily · 16/08/2007 17:38

this hostel is for sale in co. Cork for 4oo Euros...are you tempted Foxy? I was a bit tempted. I imagined keeping goats and chickens and being all arty farty and remote somewhere beautiful... I was looking at properties in Cork feeling that I should maybe live with my husband or something

Anyway, he doesn't seem to want me to move down

If I had a fantastic lover on the side I reckon he wouldn't notice or care. Oh well. (reaches for chocolate)

Hasan is biting me frequently and I'm just reacting as calmly as possible but oh boy am I feeling motivated to wean! I've been trying him with food and various bottles with little success so far.....

Rosylily · 16/08/2007 17:42

oops 400,000 Euros

Rosylily · 16/08/2007 18:31

hmm, maybe it's sold, can't find it listed as for sale now....wonder could I fit a goat in this tiny garden? Perhaps not...

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 16/08/2007 20:17

sorry to hijack - Rosy - hiya!! [waves emoticon] was stalking you and saw your post - that hostel looks fab - is it far from Youghal?

divastrop · 16/08/2007 20:36

hi rosy

you dont sound your normal, chirpy self.do you really think your dh doesnt want you to move down there or is he just being a typicl, unenthusiastic male?

you should casually let on to him that you have an internet stalker.you dont have to mention its a woman

(thats assuming you are a woman, whomping?)

sazzybee · 16/08/2007 21:20

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days - been having a bit of a mare here with e fussing majorly on virtually every feed - pulling off the boob, crying and then getting more and more frustrated and feeding constantly - every 2 hours or more all day and night.

So am absolutely knackered. Will post a thread in bf but if anyone has any ideas in the meantime ... he's just turned 5 months.

I am getting v excited about your wedding diva. Muppet PMSL at your DS's hairstyle! I got chewing gum stuck in my hair when I was a kid and cut it out and didn't think my mum would notice a big chunk out the side of my hair

shanks if I didn't say it before - hurrah and congratulations on your BFP! Hope you feel a bit better soon

AmieR · 16/08/2007 21:45

Evening all

Joe has had 2 meals today, and seems to enjoy them more each time, but doesn't like having a drink afterwards, unless its his milk, hope this is ok and he's not going to be overfed. must keep an eye of how much he's having for his normal bottles.

He tries to do something with his arms and legs when he's on his tummy. looks more like the doggie paddle that crawling!

piffle - sorry your DH's job isn't working out for you guys.

Nice dresses Diva. I'd love to get into a size 12!!!

Kiwi - pretty sucktastic on the tax credit front.
