Leo it's lovely to hear how the twins are doing, sounds similar to Hasan.

Kitty my name is Maxine-Shelby and I'm 26% chav

Lunar/The Blonde what do you give for finger food? Hasan won't co-operate with a spoon feed at all but he's grabbing peoples food like mad..I can't think what to give him though (I'm having a bit of trouble with the old weaning!)

Piffle cogratulations to Finn getting fangs!

My sister just beat me at scrabulous and I was ahead and somehow she got me at the end and Jay is 100 points ahead of me dang nabbit!

Callie I hope Jordi is on the mend very soon. poor thing. Hasan has a cold his nose is rotten and he hates getting it wiped. He was a bit hot for one day but calpol did the trick. Dd has a temperature this morning and I think I'll have to keep her off school today.

TheBlonde · 24/09/2007 07:36

Kitty - I got 23%, alas in my youth I did have a romantic meal for 2 in pizza hut!

Rosy - Aitch has a blog on BLW with lots of finger food ideas... I'll see if I can find the link later

You could try rusk, rice cake, toast, bread, brocolli, cooked carrot spears, cucumber, bits of cheese, pieces of soft fruit
Alas they are all a bit of a choking hazard!

Mossy · 24/09/2007 09:48

Bugger. I'm 49% chav

I always thought tea and nans were northern things, not necessarily chav things! Ah well, there you go. I'm Gemini-Alisha by the way!

Piffle at you only just noticing Finn's teeth!

Sazzy I would scrap that silly babycentre email it used to make me so paranoid when I was pregnant ("your morning sickness should have stopped by now" "this is when you are blooming" [yeah, right emoticon]), I think it exists to p*ss you off! And I bet if you look ahead to about ten months it will say, "your baby might just about be able to spoon feed himself by now".

Rosy I am trying blw although atm he just plays with the food and it doesn't go near his mouth. But he still has a few weeks until he is six months and I believe some babies are able to go even longer than that if necessary so I'm not too worried!

There is a brill book if you can cook it is called "Finger Food for Babies and Toddlers", have a look on Amazon (or, knowing you, ebay!)

Dolly hope you have a good holiday.

I don't need lactational whatsitoreah, I have abstinence

or should that be ? I'm not sure, I'm in two minds.

Is anyone here doing baby sign language? I am trying it with Bertie and he now kinda knows the sign for "milk"! However he prefers not to use that and instead try and grab my boob through whatever top I'm wearing.

Better go as he is doing just that!!

kittywits · 24/09/2007 09:52

Rosy I give ronnie whatever's going (lazy mother emoticon) ham, cheese. sandwiches, biscuits, veg, pasta, rice ( not as finger food!). He particularly likes pink waers .

Theblonde, I did a romantic dinner for 2 at pizzahut once. I tried to pretend I didn't but I did !!!

OP posts:
kittywits · 24/09/2007 09:55

meant pink wafers

Mossy I did a bit of the baby signing withh dd's 1 and 2 then I got too lazy busy!

Destinee-Tammi 13% chav and I'm sure that was for the pop sox LOL

Finn being an absolute pain atm, waking up 4am feeding and then singing/moaning for 2 hrs he stopped and went back to sleep literally exactly when dp's alarm went off at 5.50am

I'm bug eyed and grumpy....

kittywits · 24/09/2007 10:17

piff, I got the pop sox too!
I haven't got a trackuit for 'best' though!!!!
What's wrong with finn?

OP posts:
Piffle · 24/09/2007 10:22

he is getting mobile and decides to practive his skills in the cot... also he is still getting those teeth all the way through
Calpol makes no difference grrrr

foxcub · 24/09/2007 11:12

LOL Kitty - my name is Sapphire - Melanie

I only got 15% BTW tee hee. Anyway WTF is wrong with spending an afternoon drinking cider at a bus stop? 'Specially if its sunny?

On the weaning - Monti likes smotth purees best - he gags a bit if there are lumps. He has managed to eat all the cheese off a cheese feast pizza slive though, and can almost eat rice cakes. He loves gumming cucumber.

I bet I'm not the only one who can't wait until they can sit up and feed themselves eh?

Callie - how is Jordi today?

foxcub · 24/09/2007 11:18

Ooops x posts with you Piffle and Kitty

Piffle, just think - even though you have bug eyes today, at least you've got a good haircut

Monti woke me 1,000 times last night too. I found out why this morning, when I opened his nappy and discovered a grapefruit sized dollop!! No wonder he couldn't sleep.

Well the rain has stopped, which is enough to make me happy. [small minds etc].

Last week of enslavement before I return to work next week

How is work Kiwi

Hope Dolly is having a nice time!

eidsvold · 24/09/2007 12:07

have missed to much

been busy with new project - tracing family history through my maternal grandmother ( have paternal grandfather's side)

MY mum's mum's family are from devon and my dad's lot from sussex. I loved Devon when dh and I travelled through there - wish Ih ad these birth certificates etc that I have to start with when I was living there - trying to do if from Aus is proving a little difficult.

Well everything else is in recess due to school holidays.

Today was my birthday so dh took the day off. We went out to a national park area for morning tea and for a bush walk

had morning tea here surrounded by beautiful birds

then had yummy subway for lunch - went off for a facial - DIVINE!! my first ever facial....

out to dinner with the dds - birthday cake.

Now just chilling before bedtime.

HAd a lovely day - turned the big 39!!

Think dd3 is teething - lots of chewing - like a dog with a bone!! she did okay for grandma the other night when dh and I went out and left the 3 of them. She is also very very vocal - lots of sounds that are almost words... probably be another dd2 - just will not be quiet - full of conversation and questions.

Lots of rolling and sitting up with support.

off to see my new nephew in a few days - finally after 6 grandchildren - a boy!

Otherwise just taking it easy at home and getting the house finally sorted and having a huge cleanup/out!

kittywits · 24/09/2007 12:17

HAPPY BIRTHDAY eids, sounds like you had a great day, the place looks wonderful, such a contrast to here!

OP posts:
eidsvold · 24/09/2007 12:27

foxcub · 24/09/2007 12:37

Happy birthday Eids

Piffle · 24/09/2007 12:40

Happy birthday Eids
I'm 37 tomorrow too!
Xmas conceptions weren't we?

Rosylily · 24/09/2007 13:07

Happy Birthday Eidsvold!!!That restaurant looks heavenly and exotic too. It sounds like a lovely day.

kittywits · 24/09/2007 13:21

I'm 40 this week Eids and Piff

OP posts:
Rosylily · 24/09/2007 14:22

What a coincidence! Kitty don't worry about 40, I turned 40 this year and tis fine I'm still young and lovely let us know what day so we can post you birthday wishes!

sazzybee · 24/09/2007 14:23

Happy birthday eidsvold! That place looks gorgeous. Am particularly envious as the weather here is grim. Took the car in for a service this morning and was wondering how I was going to dash across the near-dual carriageway with a pushchair in the pouring rain to the bus stop home and the bloke said they'd do it while I waited. So that was nice - Elliot is very keen on car showrooms it seems

Thanks for all the reassurances re E's progress. Oh - and I do have to load the spoon for him - he's not that clever We're doing a mix of finger food and spooned stuff here but it's a bit random. I've not really given him purees, just weetabix. Then stick of cheese and rice cakes and houmous. Not that much goes in but he's enjoying himself.

Hope the little sickly ones get better v soon.

Must dash off and do some gardening - E is doing settling in at nursery so I have a rare 1 1/2 hours to myself!

Rosylily · 24/09/2007 14:25

see this Kitty

sazzybee · 24/09/2007 15:32

Oh yes - I'm jade-shazza and scored 33%. Think it was the 'have you ever taken your own booze into a club' question that did it for me

foxcub · 24/09/2007 16:36

Shazzer - are you going back to work shortly too then?

LOL at the "Christmas conceptions"

nappyaddict · 24/09/2007 17:01

does anyone have annaspanna's email address?

evenhope · 24/09/2007 17:34

Happy birthday Eids! I've got full ancestry membership if you need anything looking up for your family tree.

DD has been sleeping in 10 minute bursts today so is uncharacteristically grumpy. She has got a nasty cough that sounds painful, and an endlessly dripping nose.

On the eating front, she likes those Ella's Kitchen pouches with weird flavour combinations. Otherwise she will only have fruit purees. Tried her with other stuff and she likes bread rolls and orange slices

Still no teeth but she got up on her knees on Friday!

Callieco · 24/09/2007 19:08

33% for Gemini-Whitney here

Jordi's been off his food and very teary here but his temp is down with the aid of calpol. It is a cold I think, I just got a bit stressed last night. Poor lad's also got quite a bad ulcer on his tongue which may be affecting his desire to eat. He's having about half the amount of milk he usually would. I'n feeling crap too so hoping i don't fully come down with it.
