Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Piffle · 12/09/2007 13:45

foxy, Finn always rolls over and pees on the floor. on his back he would always pee in his own eye

He is being a shouty boy today, those teeth are surely near, he has the blue clear gum lines where they will come from
Please, the dribble is something else.

Eids Paul Kelly was so long ago for me I'm so pleased he is still mega popular. must revisit, is tinged with sadness for me as it is the time when my father died...

Foxy get back on facebook I want to know about your name, tis so interesting!

evenhope · 12/09/2007 15:03

Got my smiley baby back today, thank goodness. We've had 2 days of crying, screaming and refusing to sleep, culminating in a humungous poo last night that seems to have sorted her out . She's been to the clinic and is 17 lb 14 oz so either she's lost weight or my bathroom scales aren't accurate. She's "jumped some centiles" for height- think she's on the 75th from just under the 50th.

She's sat in her bumbo gumming some toast

eids sorry your holiday wasn't much of a break but sounds like the DDs enjoyed it.

foxcub · 12/09/2007 16:33

Evenhope - do you put butter on the toast for gumming?

WTF!! A bloody great sheep has just landed on me!!! Rosy!

Piff will see you over on FB

foxcub · 12/09/2007 16:36

Eids - what type of music is Paul Kelly - what genre?

Mossy · 12/09/2007 18:00

Piffle I'm rubbish at scrabble I'm afraid!

Foxy I didn't get to the Post Office AGAIN today ... will post my mag tomorrow PROMISE! You can throw a chicken at me if I don't!!

Callie glad you had a good time on hols, but Eids I'm sorry your weather wasn't up to scratch.

I was going to ask as well, who is Paul Kelly and what genre?

Piffle Bertie doesn't poo at night either, not sure why. But I'm not complaining!

Evenhope glad the smiles have returned!

Something odd has just happened to me. I was trying to reason with a troll (something I should know better than to do) on the facebook bf isn't obscene group, and I got a message from a journalist at the people newspaper in london asking me to phone him because he wanted to put something in the paper about the whole facebook / bf debate!

So I did, and had a chat with him!

How exciting! I hope I'm not misrepresented as a lentil-weaving bf fascist or something like that!!

Callieco · 12/09/2007 20:18

Fame beckons Mossy. Let us know if you make it into print.

Evenhope, I've inherited your screaming baby. Jordi has been v difficult last two days, but has got his second tooth just through today, bless him, so it's no surprise.

Diva, I did think about joining FB under another name but it's against the rules apparently and as I have a fairly distinctive name which is in both my email addresses, I thought I might get banned if I tried it.

Rosy, I didn't have to clean the house (yet) as the couple aren't coming till their original date, phew. Now I have to make sure I don't leave it till the last minute....

Eids, sorry the weather was so bad for you. I've had that experience, though obviously not with three children to amuse, and it's no fun at all. You feel so cheated, I find (and this was Spain in the summertime, so I felt entitled to moan - nonstop ).

evenhope · 12/09/2007 20:21

foxy yes the toast had butter-like spread. This afternoon's toast also had jam (in my defence it was my toast she'd been eyeing up)

muppethasakitten · 12/09/2007 21:04

I change samuel prolly 6 times a day but at least 2 or 3 of those will be cos he's pooed. He does poo for England.

muppethasakitten · 12/09/2007 21:13

foxy who are you on facebook... are you in the march 07 group?

foxcub · 12/09/2007 21:19

Hiya - I'm the one on FB with a face like a question mark on Mossy's frineds list

(she says, ever so mysteriously)

Mossy - that's great news - I hope the media cover the story. Its ridiculous!! I mean page 3 of the Sun is OK - but FB ban pics of Mums feeding their babies....

...oh don't get me started!!!

hmmphh!! (flounces off to find that bottle of white she just opened)

foxcub · 12/09/2007 21:21

Hi Muppet [waves]

Evenhope - you don't need to justify a bit of jam - I think most baby foods Monti eats are full of suger. He had choc/vanilla pud for his dinner (my favourite)

Callieco · 12/09/2007 21:39

Why do I do this? I look at other threads, and write a longish post, then decide it's not worth posting it... Am I the only one?

Rosylily · 12/09/2007 22:07

I do that too sometimes Callie. Other times I post all over the place

Muppet Foxy has a fancy name

Mossy ~i'm well impressed at you giving interviews! Go girl!

I'm crap at scrabble too especially compared to some of my family who read dictionaries in their spare time! But I obviously need loads of practise! Piffles beating me in one game and my two sisters are so going to slaughter me in the other game. Ah sure.

ds2 bounced through the door in the net of my sisters trampoline today and landed on his head then in all the screaming (me and ds2) dd weed on the trampoline..anyway, we came home early then. ds2 has a big lump on his head I feel awful.

Hasan has started saying 'gaga' really loudly now...new sounds every day. Still no solids though he did suck a bit of melon today so we are getting there very gradually.

Piffle · 12/09/2007 22:12

Beginners luck Rosy

I remember once (whilst on hols in the lake district) having a cracking 7 letter word on a triple word score waiting was againt dp and ds - dp put down the word
nano and scuppered me and according to our dictionary when we got home (cos I bear scrabble grudges) it was not valid!
Oh he was in trouble

Don't play against Jays - she has the maddest legal words in the world!!!!

today Finn is mostly eating my marmite toast (another lover of it wethinks) and trying to get up on hands and knees but actually sliding and going backwards, which is not impressing him at all...

eidsvold · 12/09/2007 22:27

paul kelly

tbh it is hard to 'pigeonhole' paul kelly - he has done rick, ballads, songs of protest, bluegrass, blues and so on. Just an amazing song writer with a distinct voice.

divastrop · 12/09/2007 22:29

rosy-i thought hassan sucked melon every day?

foxy-i have spent quite a while trying to figure out how to pronounce your name ever since you emailed me.i can only assume its one of those gaelic names that are spelt something like pgfvyihhh and pronounced 'jane'?(there were many girls with such names at my school)

callie-i used to think about what i was posting when i first joined but now i dont care.which is probably why i often kill threads

mossy-get you .have you seen that discussion on the BF group about unsavoury groups ?i was so at some of the photos of total slappers on them i started thinking 'i may as well be on mumsnet'.will they let you know if they print anything you said?isnt the people a nasty sunday tabloid or am i thinking of something else?

foxy-i often rant on that subject.page 3 is nothing compared to fecking nuts and zoo etc.at least the sun puts the tits inside the paper.this whole breasts are for sex thing makes my blood boil,i blame the fact that ff was so popular in the 1970's.all the men feel they were deprived and are jealous of the new generation.

ah,that feels better

now i can go for a wee.

Piffle · 12/09/2007 22:30

my fave

eidsvold · 12/09/2007 22:32

divastrop · 12/09/2007 22:35

'I remember once (whilst on hols in the lake district) having a cracking 7 letter word on a triple word score waiting was againt dp and ds - dp put down the word ...'

lol, that just about sums up holidays in the lake district

'look-a lake.look-a large hill.scrable,anyone?'

Rosylily · 12/09/2007 22:49

Diva you are making me laugh a lot this evening!

The live music is good especially with violin, I love that kind of thing.

Piffle · 12/09/2007 22:53

muppethasakitten · 13/09/2007 08:40

'tis my birthday today

I have had 1 hour and 20 mins sleep.

Am trying to make samuel fall to sleep by himself...

... it isn't working...

... last night he cried so much he threw up.

Am very

don't think this will go down as the best b'day ever. Last year I was living through a threatened miscarriage... and feeling sorry for myself...

poo.

Rosylily · 13/09/2007 09:31

[[http://kids.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Image:Princess_birthday_cake.jpg#file happy birthday Muppet]
I am totally with you in the tiredness, I have a headache today...tiredness and dehydration from being sucked dry all night...I'm like a prune version of myself today.

No way am I trying to do anything though I went through months of hell with ds2 crying for two hours everynight as I kept trying to settle him in the cot. I gave up in the end..

I'm going to bed at 9.30 tonight!

Can you wangle a nap today Muppet? It is your birthday and sounds like forty winks would be the best present. And being tortured by your big healthy baby is a vast improvement on last years birthday too, you poor thing.
