foxcub · 13/09/2007 13:54

Happy Birthday to you
happy Birthday to you
Happy BIIIIRRRTTTHHHDDAAYYY dear Muppet
Happy birthday to you

Diva hee hee

Re pronounciation think of the number 16 and that's close!

Rosy - poor wee lad - has he got a bruise on his head. We were thinking of buying a trampoline but I did some reserach and apparently 40,000 report to A&E Depts each year with injuries from jumpong on trampolines!!!

Eids - must check out Paul Kelly {trots off}

TheBlonde · 13/09/2007 14:20

Muppet - Happy Birthday! Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep

How is everyone going with the weaning business?
So far apple, carrot, sweetcorn have been rejected. DD will take EBM+rice & banana breakfast (which I am sure is a MN no-no as it's some powdered heinz stuff)

evenhope · 13/09/2007 16:36

I am really really . DH has been paid weekly for the last 17 years. Today he's had a letter to say as of his Feb payslip he will be paid 4-weekly. (Not even monthly) They will pay 5 weeks in arrears. How the F are we supposed to survive 5 weeks on 1 week's money?! It couldn't really have come at a worse time as I've just started 3 month's unpaid Mat leave.

morocco · 13/09/2007 16:40

hiya
sorry about crappy work evenhope, that's really mean to introduce it just like that, will they let you get an advance at all?
happy birthday muppet, hope you get a bit of sleep tonight.
dd is still in my bed, waking up a few times a night for a dreamfeed (her and me are doing the dreaming lol)
today i went to an attachment parenting meet up, all ladies with slings and lots of talk of bf, just my cup of tea
started emily on weaning a few days ago, well she started herself cos i've been offering her finger foods for a few weeks but she seems to be getting the hand of it now, messy but cute
sorry i don't post more, i wish i had the time to catch up with you all more

LunarSea · 13/09/2007 17:01

evenhope - if that means your income for the year is less than you had expected, don't forget to tell the tex credits people. You should get a bit more from there, not that it'll make that much difference though.

LunarSea · 13/09/2007 17:07

evenhope - it looks like they may not legally be able to do that unless he agrees to it - have a look here and read the bottom comment.

Callieco · 13/09/2007 18:28

Muppet - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Hope the last part of it is better.

Foxy - you've really got me thinking now as I haven't seen your name, but I'm scanning all the Irish names I can think of to find one that sounds like 16! I could possibly pronounce it if i saw it as I've picked up quite a bit of Irish pronunciation over the years.

Evenhope, that's a bummer, hope you get it sorted.

I went to a coffee afternoon today of an NCT group I've sort of joined after making friends with one of the girls at massage. It was nice but such a shame it was held indoors on a beautiful day! I'd only met the hostess once before so didn't like to suggest going outside.

divastrop · 13/09/2007 21:05

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUPPET

sorry its a bit late

you sound exhausted.you probably are better off waiting till Samuel is on 3 meals a day,he may still wake once or twice in the night but im sure things will improve.

i put Elsie in my bed at one point last night, well, about 5am.ds2 woke up and decided it was morning, then went in the girls' room and woke Elsie.i took her into my room to give her abottle but she wouldnt drink it,the next thing i knew it was 6.30 and she was still lying there between dp and i,wide awake.she didnt like it in there.

theblonde-dont worry, foxy and i feed our babies nothing but MN no-nos

actually,Elsie ate some cheese today.i really need to get her a highchair.

morroco-attachment parenting?does that make you the top lentil-weaver of the march 07 lot?

spongecake · 13/09/2007 21:08

happy b day muppet
kind of feel better that am not only one woken up all night. whats that all about? he's not even hungry, just moans at me he is awake.

went today and bought follow on milk, rusks, and was vvv pleased baby loved the cauliflower soup i made him. yum yum

diva, am also vaguely confused by facebook, esp as not sure who people are!

new bravissomo catalogue came today, lovely new nursing bras, but as i plan to stop soon(!) hmmph!

oh, and i have no job anymore.welcome to being a mummy.

divastrop · 13/09/2007 22:26

sponge-why do you have no job?

ru on the march07 group on facebook?there's a list of who's who on there.

well,i am going to ulverston tomorrow to meet up with sazzy(she offered to come to barrow but i needed an excuse to get away from the place for a couple of hours!).

morocco · 13/09/2007 22:30

cauliflower soup sounds gorgeous, i'm sitting here so hungry, we had boring chicken sandwiches for tea i was so not bothered about cooking, you know those days?

lol at lentil weaving - yes, i am a walking cliche!! (don't tell anyone but i often shout at the kids and do lots of mean things like naughty steps with them - have to keep quiet about that to stay in the club)

how mobile are all the babies?

have a good night's sleep everyone

LunarSea · 14/09/2007 09:16

morocco - Toby's too d!!m mobile, I can't take my eyes of him for a minute! He's been crawling for about a month now, getting faster every day, and is also pulling up and climbing onto things - although he gets stuck because he can't get down again. And in the last few days he's started walking around with a push along walker - outside to start with so the grass slows it down, but he did it indoors for the first time at a group today. Somebody needs to tell him he's only 5 months old and there's not actually any hurry!

It's getting a bit embarrasing to take him out to baby groups where there are older ones (especially PFB's!) who aren't moving yet. The number of times I've had the "they all do things at different speeds, yours will probably talk before he does, and by the time they're all 2 you won't be able to tell anyway" conversation in the last few weeks...

On the downside he seems to be getting into an "I must stay attached all night and I'll complain if I'm not" mode - so we might have to bite the bullet and move him into his cot if I'm going to get any sleep when I'm back at work in just over a week.

It does look like he's finally gaining a bit more weight though so I might risk getting him weighed next week. I'd stopped going because they always say he's not gaining fast enough (91st centile at birth, below 50th last time I went, so we've crossed the magic 2 lines) and forget that he's so active that he just wears it all off. It would just waste everyone's time if they refer him for slow growth when the only "problem" is that he's doing everything earlier than average.

morocco · 14/09/2007 09:32

oh wow!! toby sounds like super-baby. did you ever see those pics of the baby walking at 6 months? cute yet odd. i' hoing em holds off on crawling a while yet but she can get up on arms and legs now so time is running out. i can just imagine the 'playing it down' conversatios you have to have. like you say, no wonder his weight is dropping, he's running it off

Rosylily · 14/09/2007 10:37

Wow Lunar, Toby's crawling! what a guy! Hasan shuffles about. He can't get himself up on all fours yet...he just pushes himself up on his arms alot and rolls and twists, he can cover quite an area.

I've started putting him in the cot during the day and in the evening which is working fine and then when he wakes in the night bring him in with me.

He is getting really noisy, joining in with all the shouting of the other children...yet another noisy voice in the house!

Sponge the soup sounds good!

Evenhope that's a bummer about the wages! I hope you can work something out.

Morocco the attatchment parenting sounds lovely and wholesome.

Callie Foxy's name is fancy seeming it's.......rumplestiltskin!

foxcub · 14/09/2007 10:53

LOL at Rumplestilskin

Monti is noisy to - always squeaking, shouting or farting

Lunar - I go back to work in 2 weeks. How R U feeling about it? I feel a mixture of excitement and dread Your Toby is amazing!! You said your other son was also an early developer?

Did you have a nice birthday Mups?

Hi evryone else

Diva?morocco - Monti refuses savoury food now. He loves anything sweet though. He will eat a bit of mashed potato or avocado actually, but pulls disgusted faces!

muppethasakitten · 14/09/2007 11:12

Thankyou for all your birthday wishes

Went out for lovely meal and have a hangover this morning.

Samuel prolly has one too! naughty lady breast fed him whilst tipsy

Samuel isn't crawling properly but commando crawls - that's commando crawling like on his elbows under an army net.... not commando meaning without pants

Piffle · 14/09/2007 11:23

I mix fruit with veg and reduce the amount of fruit each day
Has worked with all 3

Toby sounds incredible, my ds1 was just liek that, needed eyes in the back of you head, he rolled well at 8wks both ways, crawled at 5 mths and cruised at 6 mths walked at 9mths

Arrghhh

No timetoday grrrrr
just popped on say hi and bye Finn the amazing on sleeping baby.
Got a shock as now when i put him to bed he just likes to practice getting up on all 4's, must be atraction issue as he tries on the floor and just slides backwards much to his very verbal frustration...

divastrop · 14/09/2007 14:21

hi all.had a lovely mini-meet with sazzy(apart from bus drivers with man PMT doing my head in)

fox-dd2 used to eat savoury jars no problem, but as most of them contained carrott she ended up going slightly orange[blsuh],so im just going to give Elsie fruit etc untill i get her a highchair and start giving her 'proper' food.

lunar-super-baby indeed.i am still amazes that elsie is rollling over already, especially as im used to girls who prefer to talk before they do anything else.
