Hi Eve - I am loving DS2 at the moment he is getting quite cheeky -

typing not too bad / knew what you meant

Eve34 · 18/01/2008 22:16

I think faster than U can type.....

J is great - SUCH hard work but am very blessed - how you cope with 2 I don't know. He has just started to tantrum when things don't go his way little monkey. We took him for his first hair cut today - a proper little boy now

JingleyJen · 18/01/2008 22:41

Ahh I cut DS1s hair for soo long until about 18 months ago when I picked him up from school he cuddled me and begged me to take him to the barbers

1-2 is not as much of a jump as 0-1. DS1 is nearly 4 and he plays with DS2 and cuddles him if he falls over and is more affectionate than I could have hoped for.

DS2 certainly has a determined spirit - just the word no sends him into a rage so I am finding ways of saying that without using the word if you know what I mean.

Is your little one walking?

Eve34 · 20/01/2008 10:02

Oh yes is in to everything and where where - espeically the dangerous stuff. He has had a sickness bug this week so it has been a bit of a testing time for me. Hope we have another maybe next year, but will wait and see. Are there many on this part of the forum?

JingleBelle · 20/01/2008 15:31

Hi Ladies,our
Is so long since anyone posted on here, though everyone had gone away. Jen - re. your questions on chatting, DS chats non-stop, but hardly anything except Dada and Mama makes sense. I talk to him all the time though and this morning I said "Shall we go and change your nappy and he went "No" and shook his head" !! I read into what I think he's saying, but who knows if that's what he's really saying?! Glad to hear 1-2 is not as hard as 0-1, 'cos we're thinking of TTC later in the year.

Eve34, this board has spurts of people coming on, but it has tailed off a lot since they all turned 1.

JingleyJen · 20/01/2008 17:23

DS2 is the same he makes alot of noise and when you walk into the room / house it sounds like he says Hiya, he has Mumumum and dadadadad and Jojojojo and Dat for that but not much more that is understandable!

I am so envious about the TTC later this year - I am eager to have more but Dh isn't sure - well actually he has just said a flat NO so I am working on it wouldn't orchestrate an accident though

bristols · 24/02/2008 12:04

Hi all,
Don't know if anyone checks this board mch anymore, but wanted to let you know that I had baby number 2 last sunday. He's another boy and weighed in at 7lb 15oz. Had a great labour - contractions started at 3.30pm. Went to the hospital at 7. Was 7cm already. Had my waters broken and gave birth just using gas and air at 8.07pm. Very speedy! We were back at home in our own bed by 11pm. Fantastic.
Everything is going well and DS1 has taken to his little brother quite well. Have had a few probs with bf which I wasn't prepared for as DS1 took to it so well. I think we are getting there now though. Fingers crossed...
I hope you are all well and enjoying your little monkeys!

compo · 25/02/2008 18:25

oh wow, congratualtions Bristols!
You have almost the same age gap as my sister had - 18 months, she found it hard at first but now her 2 boys get on really well.

Hi to everyone else who is still around

HenriettaHippo · 28/02/2008 20:37

hey there! Sorry I have disappeared off MN since September - somehow never got back on it after our holiday (we had that huge trip to Oz and Fiji, which was just fabulous)

Bristols - wow, congratulations!!! IT only seems like yesterday you were saying you were early pg...

And Tassissss too - congratulations to you!

Fraser is still gorgeous, beginning to try and speak - he says mummy, mummy, mummy, and knee, knee, knee a lot. Aaah. Once there are two up and running about (DS1 is nearly 4 now - yikes!) there just isn't time enough in the day.....

Anyway, hello to you all, those that remember me!

Coriander73 · 29/02/2008 13:17

Congratulations Bristols...!!!!!!! Gosh, it does only seem like yday that we were all pg & gassing on here for days on end!!!!

HH..good to see you are still alive! How was the trip?

J is great...has really picked up his vocab but his fav word remains MAMA..very loud & to the point of distraction but I love it!!!!!

Anybody got anthing positive to say about Cerazette mini pill? Doctors has prescribed it but as yet I've not taken it...just feel a bit wary of just using condoms since yet another scare kast month...I don't have really like the idea of it but feel I really should be more proactive if we don't want anymore...yet!!!!

HenriettaHippo · 29/02/2008 17:40

hi Cori, the trip was amazing... The boys were brilliant on the flights, and coped really well with jetlag. We really didn't want to come home, it was like paradise. Seems a long time ago now though...

Haven't ever taken the mini pill - do you have to take it the same time every day? I would forget..!! I tried a mirena coil for a while last year, but had it removed, as I kept getting terrible headaches and mood swings. Doc didn't believe me that it was connected, but hey presto once it was out, they stopped...

Starshinetiger · 02/03/2008 09:16

Bristols, congrats on your new arrival - that is wonderful news. Lovely to hear it's going well - we're contemplating TTC no. 2 soon.
Am grabbing 5 mins on here today as part of my Mothering Sunday time out.
HH - glad to hear your trip went well to Oz & Fiji. We had our trip to Oz in November and like you, we didn't want to come back.
Cori, can't comment on mini pill I'm afraid, as pill has never agreed with me.
Right, think that's my time up, lovely to hear from you all.
(P.s. this was Jinglebelle, but thought it about time I changed my festive name!)

Myrtle1 · 03/03/2008 10:23

Bristols, congratulations! What have you called DS2?
Starting to feel a bit broody now, would maybe like to try for another in the summer but DH not so sure.
HH, I'm glad your trip went well. We've been invited to a wedding in NZ in December and I really want to go but really don't know how DS would cope on a 24hr flight as he is so active. How were your DS's with the flight and how did you keep them entertained?

HenriettaHippo · 03/03/2008 14:08

Myrtle, I was worried about DS1 in particular. Your DS would be about 2.3 when you'd be going? Our DS1 was 3 1/2 when we went, and the mini DVD and TV on the back of the chair kept him entertained for quite a while. Also they both slept quite a lot. Don't forget each flight is a max of 11 hours, even if you go straight through (we had 1 1/2 hours in Hong Kong). Both DSs slept for over 7 hours of our longest flights, which made the other 4 hours bearable...! We did have some phenargon for DS1 and Medised for DS2 (he was 1 on the day we left), but only used one dose of each on the second leg each way, just to 'help them wind down'.. Don't know if it actually did anything, as they were knackered anyway.

We did have a baby next to us on one flight who screamed almost all the way, poor little thing (and poor parents, they were quite stressed) - but he was only 6 months or so, and his mum had just stopped breastfeeding - maybe not the best thing to do just before a huge flight... could have been useful!!! DSs just slept on through the noise! Me and DH didn't, and arrived totally exhausted!!!

twinklingfairy · 04/03/2008 00:28

Hello all, just took a sudden gee to have a look on this thread to see if anyone was about.
Huge congrats to Bristols on the arival of her second son.
Can't believe so much time has passed.
I don't know if anyone remembers but we were TTC our second just after Bristols became pregnant. I was so excited that I would be the second to say we were, but alas still no pregnancy for me
Ah well, what will be will be.

Aren't our LO's just fab though
DD is yabbing away too. Favourites are oh dear, oh no and sit down now.
Last night she told the cat,'No! get down now, cat' (with a little encouragement from us) She was mainly highly amused by the cats' begging for DH's dinner!

She is becoming little madam too. Pulling her hand out of mine and shouting NOoo!
Thats ok in Granny's garden, but a little embarassing in the local shop.
She is only 17mo for crying out loud!

Ah, don't you just love em?

compo · 17/06/2008 12:38

just wanted to congratulated Bristols and Tassis on their new additions to the family
