i do now ds and his stroppy tantrumming cheeky ways have taken themselves off to bed. now i've got a stroppy babyboo to deal with.....acting like she's starving, gulping down so quickly she keeps choking, coming off my boob, then shouting at me like it's my fault.

i need routine!

derlor · 17/07/2007 20:48

Daisy, i've just had an email saying that the email i sent you has been delayed in transit!!!

derlor · 17/07/2007 20:49

oh i LOVE routine don't get me started, .

andiem · 17/07/2007 20:50

both in bed though ds1 not asleep listening to tape hoping for a better night as lo had a 2 hour feed fest from 2 to 4 last night he knew I was going out today!

so that's me off to bed need to catch up on some zzzs

hope all have a peaceful night...........

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 20:57

that's what happened with holly last week too, but i sent one to myself from my other account and it was instant....can't figure it out.

gawd, babyboo is attacking my boobs like she's never seen food, sucking for a few seconds, then pushing at me and pulling off....why she do that then, its bloody nippy!

derlor · 17/07/2007 21:03

is your let down too fast for her?? did you try the expressing thing yet?

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 21:06

she does it regardless of whether I've expressed or not, and she does it even after the first frenzy when my boobs are all floppy.

mind you, i did read that let down happens throughout the feed but you only feel the first one.

It's too farking comlicated for me this. It amazes me on a daily basis how the human race isn't bloody extinct by now.

derlor · 17/07/2007 21:08

maybe that's why they invented formula ........to save us from impending extinction?

Jamantha · 17/07/2007 21:10

Dare I say it ... LO seems to be getting better at going to sleep of her own accord. Sssshhhh don't say it too loudly though, it'll make it untrue!

loonylovegood · 17/07/2007 21:11

Gah!! My poor floopy empty boobs! Do babies have a growth spurt at 3 weeks?

OP posts:
derlor · 17/07/2007 21:11

jamantha we won't say a word sshhhhhh

derlor · 17/07/2007 21:12

yes Holly and 4,5,6,7,8,9,..............

loonylovegood · 17/07/2007 21:14

Constant growth spurt sounds about right, but then he was having one before he was born too, so why stop now?!

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 21:17

babyboo did at 3 weeks...fed for 6 hours then slept for 7, so you may be lucky tonight holly.

i'm off for the night, hope you all get lots of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's x

bumperlicious · 17/07/2007 21:56

Having problems with feeding this evening. If dd doesn't latch on properly I have to de-latch her, and after a couple of goes doing that she gets really pissed off and does the pursey mouth thing and refuses any more even though I know she's not done. I then have to wait for god knows how long till she's ready again! It's not so bad during the day, but bloody frustrating at night! Makes me want to just keep her on even if it is hurting, just so that she will feed!

Hope you all have sleeping LOs anyway - I don't!

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 22:05

bumper, I really feel for you. It sounds like you're going through the same things did with DS. I'm glad you're getting support though. I didn't have any and had given up by 5.5 weeks. I know it's hard but stick with it. They all have their moments....babyboo has done similar to me tonight. when you feed, do you move your arm to under her head as support after she's latched? I find, when she's mucking about that if I keep hold of the back of her head and hold my boob she does a bit better.

Maybe she just wants something to suck on as well...babyboo likes to use me as a dummy, but I've started recognising when she wants feeding and when she's just mucking around.

It must be really frustrating for them as well.

We need to get webcams set up so we can have a live on-line BF workshop

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 22:08

babyboo has just settled herself to sleep for the first time as well......she chuntered for about 10 mins but is quiet now.

I'm going to risk gong to bed now. she possetted in the bed this morning and I've just remembered I haven't changed the sheets. strangely enough though, I just don't care anymore. Have the feeling that me and the house just stink of sour milk the whole time!

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 22:27

I'm off to bed.....been up since 5!!

there are a few of us missing this week isn't there. I hope everyone is OK.

Hello all... been away for a few days, I was reading yesterday but too tired to post (and nothing interesting to say!)

I visited my folks in essex, just me, DS and the mad dog for the weekend, I got stuck in traffic for 4 hours on the way home. DS was screaming because he was hungry and overheating even though I had a/c on full blast (it's a very snug fit and he gets all sweaty in his car seat), dog needed a wee, my phone had run out of battery. It was shit. I found a tescos car park and opened the boot and gave him a bottle in the boot. I probably looked like a pikey giving him a bottle sitting in the boot of my old beat up car with the dog next to me.

DS was a bit sort of ill after.. he was very screamy and clingy when we got home, and then yesterday he was very dehydrated and windy and screamy, but touch wood since about yesterday 4pm he has been ok. He did the most massive totally solid shit though so I reckon that helped getting that out. Pretty sure he was dehydrated, but his shits are nice and splatty again now.

I hope no-one I know in RL is reading this post, I have few enough mates as is, they'll read this and think I am mad and then I'll have no friends at all.

Hope everyone is well (despite being floppy-titted from what I can make out)

naturopath · 18/07/2007 09:14

Poor you! Wow, why isn't anyone else up yet? Me and DS usually sleep in until around 10:30 but i decided might be better to ge up a little earlier so there's more chances of him having a nap or two during the day (which he NEVER does).

Glad your lo is back to normal!

trendaverter · 18/07/2007 09:18

10.30!!!!
OMG
My DH gets up at 5.45 every day, which is when I get up, can't sleep through his row!
