Agree about not really needing monitor in the house as can hear the loud cries without it (and ours doesn't have super thin walls even) but yes it does make us feel that we're doing the right thing.

And agree about trusting instincts - was told on day 3 in hospital to do so as a parent's instincts are oftern right. My instinct yesterday was that something wasn't right, so followed it up, and although nothing specific was found to be wrong, was glad we did, and as I said glad that we weren't treated as foolish over-protective types. Though as DH said, on the 20th visit they might start to think so

Hope you feel better soon Daisy, and get some sleep.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

loonylovegood · 17/07/2007 10:12

Has daisy turned into a bee?

If anyone like me is obsessed with next sales I have just found the code so you can buy stuff online from 5pm tomorrow at sale prices! Cunning!

oh yes please holly!

how are you doing?

Bumper am about to email you! You made me cry, you lovely thing you! Thank you for your kind thoughts and gifts. Am really, really touched xxxx

loonylovegood · 17/07/2007 10:58

Hey foxy, we are well, hope you are too!

For the next sale go into quickshop and put in the code of the item you want. Then replace the last 3 digits of the code with G25 and it should come up with the sale price. This apparently will work from 5pm tomorrow! Don't get to excited though, most things I want are sold out!

I really cannot be arsed to go into the next in town on saturday, it is always mayhem and the sale at christmas was a real pile of shite!

i did get an email telling me to book a slot from wednesday, but by the time I got round to it all the wednesday slots were gone.

Anyway, I'm not sure what they sell which would fit my peculiar shape!

Am going to put Baby 4 in the sling and do the school run. Everyone is desperate to see her, and DP keeps coming home with all these presents, so I guess she should go and meet her public!!!

foxybrown · 17/07/2007 11:14

will you be one of those mums who takes their dds to the beauty parlour Daisy?

You might as well get there for 5am, you'll probably be up anyway!

Only thing putting me off going out are my ENORMOUS feet. Someone will laugh at me.

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 11:20

have they not settled down yet? did you get dp to do the massage? not wanting to alarm you, but mine took nearly 3 weeks to get back to normal. i was

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 11:21

she'll be entering mini beaty queen pageants with full make-up on by the time she's three ...

....and winning of course

loonylovegood · 17/07/2007 11:24

I've got some spare fake tan, it's a bit orange for me, but might do well for babyboo! Also claire's accessories do ear piercing on babies, it is SO a good look!

My feet took about 3 weeks to settle too. And some problems beyobd that on top of foot, just behind toes. Only just got into some of my shoes yesterday

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 11:31

yes, thought i'd get her ears done.....maybe a little loveheart tattoo as well

I am joking of course, incase anyone thinks I'm serious.

loonylovegood · 17/07/2007 11:35

I used to have a saturday job in a clothes shop when I was at college and this horrible pikey fat man with loads of tatts came in with his 2 daughters. One was about 15 and one was 9. They both had tattoos, he was showing them off to people in the changing room! The 9 yo old had tweety pie on her back!

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/07/2007 11:38

holly. Surely illegal?

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 11:39

That's . I thought you had to be 18 to get a tattoo. I'm surprised he could find someone willing to do it for a 9 year old!

Now babybo is just shouting at me. She's fed and changed and cuddled and has not long woken up. I haven't got a bloody clue what's wrong with her.

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/07/2007 11:40

She obviously heard about the tattoo plan.

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 11:43

LOL tallulah....how are you today?

daisyandbabybootoo · 17/07/2007 11:47

We've got our six week check today....I can't believe how quickly it's gone by.

And in true neglected second child fashion, we've hardly taken any photos, but had hundreds of DS by this stage!

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/07/2007 12:02

Hi daisy - things going well today so far. Yesterday was a bitch tho'.

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/07/2007 12:16

On subject of feeding lying down & co-sleeping I inadvertently did both. DD woke up for feed at 7:15 after going back to sleep at 6, took her into bed to feed & was so knackered after a while that i scooched down in the bed, next thing i knew was 9am & DD fast asleep on my chest. Was great but not sure it's safe

Jamantha · 17/07/2007 12:20

"We've got our six week check"

I'm confused about this. When we got discharged from MW care, I got told to make sure I'd got an appointment for both of us to have the 6 week check, got told to make sure that the receptionist booked a double length appointment. When I went to do this, I couldn't get an appointment with my GP until week 9. When I asked if this was OK for LO to wait that long (didn't think I'd come to any harm waiting) she checked and said that this appointment was for me and the HV would sort an appointment for LO, yet she'd mentioned that it was a double length slot, which was part of the reason that I've got to wait so long. So now I'm confused.

On the up side, LO sat happily for quite a while in bouncy chair this morning . Long enough for me to hang nappies up to dry, tidy kitchen and front room, and go through 2 old recipe magazines selecting recipes to cut out and file. I shook her activity caterpillar occasionally to make it rattle or squeak and that seemed to keep her amused, that and looking all around taking everything in. I guess the world's quite fascinating at that age.
