Hi all - we've had some family time off together so also haven't been around for a while.

Foxy - goodness me - what a nightmare! Hope you're all feeling full strength again.

DH and I went to hospital about having another child, and was told that we'd have to go through all the tests from scratch again. I (naively as it turned out) thought that because I had needed clomid for DD which was really successful, and the fact that we've been trying for a year now, would mean that they'd just give me a prescription for clomid again and that would be it. But no, even DH has to be tested again and it looks like going on for months before they hand over those few little pills that will help me ovulate and solve this whole thing. Grrrr! I'm trying to view it as more time we've got to spend with DD all to ourselves.

DD now has 2 (with one on the way?) teeth on the top and four on the bottom - she's in no rush to get them!

don't worry blobsmummy - you could have been describing my day at work yesterday!!

What are the doctors reasons for not putting you straight onto Clomid? I would have thought the same as you.. Are you still practising in the meantime?

ds has finally got another tooth, bottom right so he looks a bit lopsided now.

Foxy - apparently 'that's the way they do things'.... Doesn't help that practicing is the last thing on my mind at the mo which is not really like me . Can't seem to get in the mood at all - I think it must be PMT - I always get grouchy then...

at the risk of sounding new agey have you thought of ancupuncture?

re: in the mood - I've not really been in the mood since August 2005

Hello all.
Sorry I've not been on for a while but have been suffering with morning sickness etc and feel like hibernating. Slightly better now though so thought I'd get on and post.
DD is now 14 months, 12 teeth (mad I know) including some back teeth at the the bottom. She's up and walking, just a few steps on her own but it won't be long I'm sure before she goes it alone altogether.
Her speech is amazing, she's saying so many words now and learning new ones every day. Can't get over how quickly she picks things up.

My "12" week scan is on 18th Sept and can't wait. This new pregnancy doesn't seem real yet somehow. But I turned 12 weeks today, so scan is a bit late. Not that it matters I don't suppose.
Anyway time for a nap while DD is sleeping

Hi all - I'm pregnant! (foxy - which may explain lack of feeling up for it!)

Can't believe that it's happened without any assistance - especially as i had a full internal examination at the hospital a couple of weeks ago!

It's very early days (only just gone 6 weeks) so trying not to get too excited just yet - nearly fell of the loo in shock when i did the test! Just hope that we can get through this early phase ok - will feel much happier at 12 weeks.

Anyone heard about Trinity - she was due by now?

Congrats!!!! {grin] Fingers crossed and hope the weeks fly in towards your 12 week scan.

Not heard from Trinity... Maybe something on 'birth anouncement' thread - I'll go and have a peek

SIL is now overdue and we're all chomping at the bit.. Sent her home from ours yesterday with instructions to bounce on her birthing ball ALL evening.

DS is going through the motions with more teeth at the mo. Also testing the boundaries at times!

I'm a little down in the dumps at the mo. Exhausted mentally, physically and emotionally. Got so much going on and stressed to the hilt. I'm working, looking after DS who's teething and keeps trying it on, trying to cope with DH who goes from being lovely to a pain and us arguing, acting like a project manager for the builders doing our house alterations that take forever and things keep going wrong and the mess that comes with it and trying to live in a house with a mardy DH and upset 14 month old. ARGH!

Also thought I was pregnant because all the signs were/werent there but wasnt so got upset. Daft really because its only the 1st month I've come off the pill. Silly me. Also i'm so exhausted and fed up arguing with DH that I can't be bothered to "get in the mood".

Hearing all your good news helps.

Vbab - sorry that you're feeling low [hugs]

WW - really sad to hear about your FIL, what a horrible situation for you all - praying for your family.

Know what you mean about DD giving monumental frowns - my MIL calls it 'an old fashioned look'! DD is now suck a tall and skinny thing that I do struggle picking her up if she's wriggling - especially as I'm not very tall. The next thing I'm looking forward to her being able to do is telling us what she wants rather than pointing wildly - it'll be much less frustrating for all of us!

Congrats Blobsmummy,
Sorry WW about your loss.
With all this pregnancies I am starting to think about our third.
How much milk are your lo's drinking now? And is it still in a bottle? DS has juice in a sports bottle type thing, But one bottle of milk at night.

Hi,

DD has a beaker of milk at bedtime, but prefers water the rest of the time which she has in a beaker with a straw. She's not been very hungry recently which is not like her at all, so it's either a growth spurt or more teeth coming through.

Went to doctors today and am now waiting for the midwife to contact me. I guess it won't be for a while yet as only 7 weeks - can't believe how much I've forgotten from the first time around already though!

OMG just did a test and what do you know, I am pregnant. Trying to work out when I am due, last period was 5 August. I remember last time being able to use an online calculator to work out dates. I had to tell someone as will have to wait at least afew weeks before I tell anyone. Last time I told people so early and the pregnancy lasted forever. Now I need to decide when we will make a trip to South Africa, before I can't fly. I am soooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to mention, we had thought of waiting another year, but at least the decision to wait has been takern away from us.

babytastic! I now know what you were all doing during this horrible wet summer

mitchell - I've got one of those pregnancy edd circle charts and acording to the 'wheel of fortune' you are due on 12 May 2008!

My SIL finally had a dd this morning - get this - 10 days overdue, being induced today, up all night at home last night with 'sore tummy'. Arrived at hospital 6am this morning, Katie Elizabeth McGregor both 6.30am - 8lb 7oz. Ah to be 25, they just ping out !

Off to see them this afternoon, can't wait! Its the first girl on DH's side of the family in aeons, MIL will have bought up every piece of pink there is I bet.

re: millk, DS has @6oz first and last thing, still from a bottle but wate rin beaker at all other times. He is taking less and less at night.

He had a vomiting/coughing bug last week and is getting his first molar through so has been needing extra cuddles.

Congrats Mitchell. Another one of us in the club!!! I had my 12 week scan yesterday and am feeling much happier and less shattered now, and much less sick. Hope you don't get Morning Sickness....eurgh...the pits.

DD is now not drinking any milk at all, she doesn't seem to want it morning or night. Unless she's teething in which case she doesn't eat her dinner for some reason then cries till she gets her bottle??? Weird.

She now has about 14 teeth including at least 3 molars, which make her so ill when they come through. The last one gave her the runs for over 4 days Poor thing.

Is it just me or is it now impossible to eat a full meal without being shouted at cos LO wants to share it? My portions have been reduced by about 1/3 every meal time!

Vbab, sorry to hear you've been so down. Having been thru the house renovation thing recently myself I can totally understand, we still have so much to do and my DH is about much use a chocolate fireguard when it comes to DIY....so poor old preggers muggins here has to do it.
The stress was enough to put pay to my periods for a good few months, hence the 3 pregnancy scares we had before we found out I actaully was.) Keep your chin up, the builders won't be there forever!! I know it feels like it though.

Blobsmummy....congrats on your news. I'm so pleased for you!
