derlor · 09/07/2007 17:06

ROFL TA.

trendaverter · 09/07/2007 17:07

Enjoy George and Brad!! xx

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 17:13

we got lots of 3-6mo pretty summer dresses too derlor, so swapped them for bigger sizes so she's covered for dresses for next year!

bumperlicious · 09/07/2007 17:24

TA our aim is to be able to express so my mum can drive up and look after DD in couple of weeks so we can go and watch Harry Potter, can't wait either. Also, DD has gone from pooing every feed to once a day. She really looks like she needs to go though DH and I get so excited - "look she's done a really good poo!", yep we are very sad!

Lilkel, sorry about your LO, I hope she is ok.

this is the sling we eventually got. Sputnik got one too and managed to negotiate a discount for MNetters - I paid $108 CAD including shipping which is £51 (essentially free shipping), a lot I know, but you can hold them in a pouchy way then convert it to an upright sling.

Bumper same same - "look...he's straining...his face has gone all purple and bunched up...he's groaning...I think he gets that expression from you, I don't do that... oh lordy look at the mess in that nappy, it's your turn"

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 18:02

pmsl TA.....and with strangers too!

weddingcake · 09/07/2007 18:03

Certainly never thought I'd come away from the internet feeling all reassured after reading about poo!

Very similar change in feeding pattern here - the longest J has gone all day is 1 1/2 hours (with hideous wind such that you can't put him down in between)....so why am I on mumsnet when I should be finally getting washed and dressed?!

Hope everyone else has had a good day!

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 18:07

oops ta...that was at the talking poo on the internet...

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 09/07/2007 18:19

Afternoon! After showing off earlier that I had a lovely chilled out baby I get punished for being so smug and he turns into a screaming monster! God damn it! He is finally asleep now, phew!

I thought I'd miss you daisy, but thought I'd offer the dummy thing. If you still want it I can send it to you as a spare.

Am also v excited about Harry Potter, but more about the book than the film. It makes me cross when they miss things out of the film that were in the book. I am quite a sad Harry Potter fan, I actually read the books in order and then start again! Hmmmm...saddo alert! I prob won't go and see the film at the cinema as no-one I know will go with me !

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 18:21

lol weddingcake......i'm dressed but i haven't even washed my face or cleaned my teeth yet......and dd keeps crying every time i put her down!

daisyandbabybootoo · 09/07/2007 18:22

i've never read a harry potter or seen any of the films....i must be the only person in the country.

i am waiting for the last book so we can get a full boxed set for ds though!

riabutterflew · 09/07/2007 18:41

DH must be in a good mood - he has taken the big boys to the cinema to see the Shrek film. Goodness only knows how DS2 will cope. He has spent the day running round the house wailing and closing curtains and switching on lights because of the rain and thunder. babypootle hasn't settled all afternoon for more than 10 minutes. My boobs are like deflated balloons.

I am gutted because my mildy attractive neigbour has split with his girlfriend and moved out. So now all that will happen in the street is the obsessive car-washing...

DS2 has been on the yorkshire wheel thing today, and his school trip souvenier is an Elizabethan dagger paper knife (aren't there laws about selling knives to kids? Even letter opening ones.)

Glad you are happy foxy.

I will tell about the job when the old one is officially ditched and a starting date has been agreed. Needless to say, if it actually turns out as good as it sounds (highly unlikely) the sun will be forever shining in rialand. Unfortunately chefland is very volatile and you can not have a job as quickly (if not quicker) than you got it!

Can't decide - 5 minuts more cuddles with pukey pootle to see if he will go to sleep, or sort the laundry? (he is cooing - how gorgeous! Might go with the cuddling.)

Sorry, long post

trendaverter · 09/07/2007 18:52

Holly, you HAVE to see it at the cinema. You MUST. It's the law.

I'll go see it with you.

trendaverter · 09/07/2007 20:02

Did I scare everyone off?

trendaverter · 09/07/2007 20:05

Pah, everyone must be having a RL or something. I am off to bed. Nite all!

foxybrown · 09/07/2007 20:38

tee hee - at least you've all moved on from discussing your own poos to discussing your lo's!!!

But if anyone wants to hear about mine...

can I please have one of the chilled out babies? We were discussing that this one has really put us through it right since the start of pregnancy, She's going to be the one getting in with the wrong crowd, unplanned pg, boys and trouble, isn't she? Oh well, she's her mothers daughter!

bumperlicious · 09/07/2007 21:11

Oh my god, I'm just watching that fight for life on bbc1 about birth, and there is a really sad case of a baby who had swallowed meconium, he's really poorly. It's traumatising me a bit as DD had meconium in her waters and the had to call a paediatrician. Ooh it's really scary!

hollyandalicewillbedogtanian · 09/07/2007 22:02

Hmmm, just watched that bumper...quite glad it wasn't on before William was born as he pooed inside as well. Scary stuff.

trendaverter · 10/07/2007 07:35

What age do babies have their growth spurts? S is eating me out of house and home... he is 2.5 weeks old and drinking 45oz a day.... I am going to buy shares in SMA

trendaverter · 10/07/2007 07:42

Not heard anything from JBM yet - hope she is ok - will post a message as soon as I hear anything

derlor · 10/07/2007 08:58

TA - 1st growth spurt usually occurs between 2 and 3 weeks, so yes i'd say that is what it is!!!
meant to say yesterday for all those whos LO's have slowed down on pooing - just wait for the explosion..........!!! (grin) sonetimes it can reach their own head!

trendaverter · 10/07/2007 09:30

ahhh so that's why he is eating ridiculous amounts every 2-3 hours

We had a semi massive explosion, it went up to the back of the nappy, but really I was ever so pleased lsat night after having a bath with him, wrapping him up, and he does a contented sigh...and then I find it's because he has shit and peed all over himself and the towel. Back in the bath....

foxybrown · 10/07/2007 09:48

Here's a tip for those 'up the back of the vest poo'. Don't even bother trying to wash them. Bag it, bin it, go to Primark.

Hope everyone is OK over here. xx
