@AmberRose17 yes of course!!

Yakadee · 17/02/2019 03:52

I still don't know how to pm on here? X

Camsie30 · 17/02/2019 04:34

@Yakadee I think you can do it on the website rather than on the app if that's helpful?

bethandfreyaruby · 17/02/2019 05:13

Oh I would love to join the FB group, will have to try remember password for the website to PM!

Just a question regarding bottle feeding- how much are your LOs taking at a time from a bottle (formula or expressed milk)? My DS will only taken around 1oz every 45 minutes-1hour. Which is fine, but it just means during the night by the time you've burped, settled him, settled down- it's time for another feed. Sure it's perfectly normal, just looking for a bit of reassurance during my sleep deprived days!?

Yakadee · 17/02/2019 07:35

@bethandfreyaruby - I'm bottle feeding (formula) and it varies but she usually has min 100ml and during the night has 5oz (give or take)?every 3-4 hours x

Notquiteagandt · 17/02/2019 08:13

@bethandfreyaruby its 150-200ml x their weight divided by number of feeds. As a standerd messures for a days food.

Notquiteagandt · 17/02/2019 08:18

Weigh day for us.

The nerves have well and truely kicked in.

Really hoping we can avoid hospital. 🤞🏻

Positive thoughts and vibes welcome. I have everything crossed.

Mw is due between 9 and 5. Hoping its later so baby can eat a bit more before hand.

Also booked us a course of massage classes. As something to look forward to.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for nice oil? Half eyening up burts bees lemon one.

Yakadee · 17/02/2019 08:33

@Notquiteagandt - everything is crossed for you! Sending heavy thoughts your way xx

Camsie30 · 17/02/2019 08:59

@Notquiteagandt good luck today. Oil for you or the baby? I like using organic sweet almond oil on the baby's skin, especially while they're so new and tiny x

Notquiteagandt · 17/02/2019 09:01

@Camsie30 for the baby to massage her with. I love smell almond and used to use it in baths myself. So good shout.

Thanks for the fat thoughts ladies 😊🤞🏻

maxiflump1 · 17/02/2019 09:05

Good luck for today @Notquiteagandt.

I can't help with your question @bethandfreyaruby as I have the opposite problem! My 2 week old boy yesterday got through 11 (!) 4 oz bottles in a 24 hour period! He doesn't bring any of it back up or fuss so I'm guessing it's all being digested somehow! They like to keep us on our toes these babies!!

lanalawr · 17/02/2019 09:08

Thinking heavy thoughts @Notquiteagandt

Does anyone else have the shakes? R was born on Tuesday evening and I'm occasionally getting the shakes. It's not all the time but they're horrible and can feel quite violent sometimes.

Notquiteagandt · 17/02/2019 09:12

@lanalawr 2wks 2 days in and im still shaking. Keep looking at baby freaking out shes shaking then realise its me shaking and as im holding her.

Just hormones apparently. Things readjusting down.

bethandfreyaruby · 17/02/2019 09:21

Thank you everyone for your responses! Gives me a bit of reassurance!

Notquiteagandt- hope everything goes well today Thanks

lanalawr · 17/02/2019 14:20

Thanks @Notquiteagandt that's reassuring. I never had them with dd so this is a new one on me.

maxiflump1 · 17/02/2019 19:32

How did the weigh in go @Notquiteagandt?

Notquiteagandt · 17/02/2019 19:47

Shd has gained a massive 100g ..!!! So finally over 6lb. She will still be weighed often but can stsy home for now. Things are going in right direction!!

I cried with relief.

Having a baby I was prepared fir the ohysical exhaustion. But the emotional exhaustion is something else. Taken me so by surprise!!

Yakadee · 17/02/2019 19:52

@Notquiteagandt - that's great xx

Celebelly · 17/02/2019 20:32

That's brilliant!!! You're doing so well with her, you should be so proud Thanks

Great news @Notquiteagandt!

How are you getting on @Celebelly? Have you made any progress on the feeding front?

Celebelly · 17/02/2019 21:05

Not really. Still pumping 8-10 times. Day and cup feeding. We have a lactation consultant coming on Tuesday so I'm really hoping we can make some progress then, as it's really starting to get me down. She's so desperate to feed from the breast too and gets so frustrated so it's tough to see. But she happily guzzles down the expressed milk so hopefully she's getting enough at the moment.

maxiflump1 · 17/02/2019 21:12

Aw bless you @Celebelly that sounds tough. Pumping that much must be exhausting. Fingers crossed the lactation person can sort you out.

maxiflump1 · 17/02/2019 21:13

Gosh just reread that last sentence and it sounds awful: meant to say help you out!! (Not sort you out!!)

Celebelly · 17/02/2019 21:20

Thanks! Yes it's bloody exhausting but I rented a hospital grade double pump that's arriving tomorrow so hopefully that will help. It just takes so long to pump both sides and then the cup feeding itself can take an age too. The only saving grace is that it means DP can help with feeding, which has been really helpful. But the sooner she just latches on the boob the better!!
