Bloody hell ladies. How many posts??? Dh has had the laptop all day so just catching up.

Runny, so sorry to hear about your fil. I agree that a CAT scan is a must. Thinking of you all. Also, really pleased to hear W is sleeping, and NOT on you! You must be relieved.

Pesha, your posts make me giggle! Hope D is ok, and that he piles on the pounds. He seemed healthy enough. I know how worrying it is though.

Nutty, blooming parents eh!? Hope you are ok, and that Erin is ok too. x

EmmyMummy, I think the Infant Gaviscon is supposed to help keep the milk down isn't it? Hope S is ok.

Dippy, what is BLW that you and Pesha were talking about. Sorry to be a bit dim!!

Bugmum, good to see you again.

Ange, loving the emails - keep 'em coming!!

KHIN, well done on getting the work done, on top of everything else! Can't believe you are still b'feeding the dt's still. You are Wonderwoman!!

Oooogs, sorry to hear about the impetigo. B had a mild bout of that last year, but we only missed 1 day of nursery. I guess each nursery has a different set of rules.

Totally forgotten everything else.

Got through today ok, but am knackered. Dh was up at 3.30 today to go to Paris for work. I fell asleep again, but annoyingly woke up again at 4.45, 5.45 and then B came in at 7.00. Had a mad day with them, running from A to B, and then the joy of the bath/bedtime routine. Fortunately B was a star tonight. K was a bit of a pain, but they were both in bed by 8.30 so not too bad.

Now about to head to bed myself.

Hope everyone is ok. Lots of love. xx

Kneehighinnappies · 27/06/2007 22:00

I scored 12% on the cloth nappies better than i thought seems I have never and don't think I will ever use them. Hats of to all you who are.
There is no way I am letting slip what I got on the tart test, far to about my sordid past.

Think I may keep the bfing up for a bit longer after reading oooggs post re the regimental formula ritual that seem to come with feeding 2, I only use formula for the really early morning feed for zed, lola refuses to take it, she knows what she like and nothing else will do.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 27/06/2007 22:02

Elkie, know what you mean about getting out of the house. K seems to be much more chilled when out. Probably because she is distracted.

Emmy, S really looks like you in the top photo - really sweet!

Right, off to bed.

And Colour Blindness - I have had glasses since I was 9, sister was 7 or 8 (we got them at the same time). Bro1 (18) doesn't where glasses or have any sight issues, Bro Skott (16) doesn't wear glasses but we think he is colourblind (he was at last test 2 years ago, not so at test last week ).
Matthew's dad is short-sighted but didn't need glasses til about a year before we had Matthew. His dad has Glaucoma.

Because of the family histories I decided to take Matthew as soon as he was old enough to do the tests so we would know if there were any problems early on. They tested him today and he showed up as red/green colour blind. They do the tests in such a way that he couldn't just be being awkward, and she did several different ones, so looks like he is.

How are you feeling about it JM??

Kneehighinnappies · 27/06/2007 22:10

JoMa-sorry to hear about m's colour blindness, I had a friend who was some sort of colour blind and he needed to be able to see in colour for work (think he worked for railtrack)
he had so many tests that he memorised them and convinced his bosses that he wasn't colour blind, i know that has nothing to do with anything just thought I would say.

Elkie-What do they teach at postnatal classes?
Silly question but I have never hear of postnatal only prenatal.

Katy44 · 27/06/2007 22:14

Hi everyone,

REally quick post
maveta thanks for asking about the jabs, he screamed when they went in, then was OK, then slept for 5 hours! Then screamed (worst I've ever heard, couldn't even be consoled with a feed) for about an hour, then did feed. He's been fine since, usual smiley chatty self! I'll let you know how tonight goes...Good luck for tomorrow. I just gave him a dose of calpol when I got back, second lot when he woke up after 5 hrs - found it OK with the spoon just wait till his mouth's open screaming, pop him up slightly and tip it down! (Bib essential!) Hope Noah is OK

KHIN - glad everything's going so well, am very impressed by your work!

CDippy - could I have any colour apart from sparkly pink? Would slightly prefer yellow, but not too fussed, also not in a major hurry. Have you sent your address (don't think I've got it?) Will send the money tomorrow

Hope everyone else is OK x

Katy44 · 27/06/2007 22:16

Yellow cup it is!

Somehow I was lucky today with weather, it was raining but not when I was out, just as well really, as buses get even worse when the weather is wet. I can't drive. I decided to walk home from a wander round the local Mothercare because the bus stop is outside the tube station, so lots of people get on there, as I probably would have done without a pram. And the bus drivers all apply a 2 buggy maximum rule, so I've learned that I have to allow time to wait for more than one bus and keep my fingers crossed that there aren't too many already on. As you can imagine, setting off to places after morning rush hour is usually easier than travelling home.

Danny seems to love being taken out and be much calmer in the pram, on the bus or on my lap anywhere other than the house. I long for a more compact buggy though - the current one is a freecycle acquisition, not a purchase.

weeonion · 27/06/2007 22:22

evening folk s- a quick post whilst getting lods of nappies in / out of machine. i am 74% addicted - thought so! lovelove love my cuddlebuns!

joma - sorry to hear about matthew - my cousin only found out when we was a teen and wanted to be an electrician. he was gutted and wished he had known earlier to make different choices etc

elkie - i agree with you - we are out and about every day at something. if i dont - i get cabin fever and have to work really hard to keep the blues away. most days we have something on in the morning and afternoon, c seems alot more chilled when we are out and def more tired those evenings. she is star tho' with sleeping - goes down no bother and is happy enough to rock herself off to sleep in the ambynest.

;iath - so that the housecoat has gone. i was going to ask to borrow it - but i guess i will never have the chance now!!!
runny - awful news n yr fil - hope you are all ok
emmy - sophie is sooo cute. huge big eyes!!

someone asked about rhyme time?? not sure what that is but we go to bounce n rhyme. she loves i t- even tho she is a bit wee. she tends to shout quite a bit when we ar ethere - to the amusement of the other mums, we sing all the songs at home and she gets really hyper.

pesha - my friend is BLW. it is goign really well adn her wee one is doign fab. i think there is a MNetter called aitch who is the scottish "guru" on it. might be worth checking her out??

ok - the lastest load is done so off to the washing machine i go!

weeonion · 27/06/2007 22:22

oop s- xposted re aitch!!

JoMa · 27/06/2007 22:23

lucky you Elkie, we discovered on the way to the meet-up that Joe loathes buses and trains

Have you tried Ebay for a pushchair? If you look for ones that are local pick up only you often find they go for very little as there are less likely to be bidders in the right area. With your locality and your relatives to use you may well find just what you want for very little £

Would BLW work with a toddler and 2 babies, I haven't read the blog yet.
Do you just stick them down with a chunk of food and let them help them self?

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 22:23

Quinny or Micralite are best for non-drivers imho!

JoMa · 27/06/2007 22:25

not sure how i feel about it tbh, glad we've found out early, as you say Weeonion, it must be worse to find out later once you've set your heart on a career. disappointed that there'll be something 'different' about my little boy tho

OP posts:
JoMa · 27/06/2007 22:26

Dippy, you have neither a Quinny or a Micralite
and neither can be used until 6 months so tut tut

OP posts:
CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 22:27

We all have stuff that is "different" JM - I am glad you have found out about it now, so you can take it into conseration etc... {{{{hugs}}}

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2007 22:30

I know I don't, but I want both!! Oh just stuff 'em in, no one will notice! Anyway - shut it, pram whore!!!

eca · 27/06/2007 22:30

HELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Long time no seeeee!! It's been MANIC with us, so not had time to pop in much (read:at all!!!)

All ok here. T is gorgous! And smiling and giggling loads which we lurve! Can you believe we're still getting pressies for him! In the last week we had £40 in cards and a teddy. People are so kind .

It's wedding fever here. 2 couples who are close friends are getting married in July. Currently I'm committed to... being a bridesmaid; b&b for 1 groom and 1 bestman the night before the wedding; cooking carrot cake for 35 people and mini meringues for 25; chauffeur for bridesmaids to the reception; chauffeur for bride and groom to their first-night hotel; arranging video of wedding; helping arrange balloons for one reception venue; helping set up the other reception venue!! Not to mention all the usual buying gifts, making cards etc! Poor T is seriously going to be wedding'd out come August!!

The bf saga continues with me. Not in too much pain thank goodness, but finally got diagnosed with a milk infection, bacterial not fungal, had to send off a nipple swab and milk sample. Now on MORE antibiotics!! And T is a bit upset with them.

We finally moved him from the moses basket to the cot this week. He's taken a couple of days to get used to it. The first night he kept crying and looking terrified!

Last baby massage class tomorrow . We have absolutely loved it !

How amazing is this underwater baby photos We really want to get one of T asap while he's small. So madly trying to find somewhere to do some baby swim lessons to prepare for a shoot.

No hope of catching up I'm afraid. Although spotted one or two things...

Bubblez - oh you poor darling. What a shock being pregnant must have been. You sound like you've been to hell and back. Wish I could see you and give you a hug and have a cry with you over a mug of tea. I will be praying for you that you find peace in your heart about what you've been through.

Maveta - GREAT to hear that bf is a piece of cake now! Hurrah! I'm beginning to enjoy it too now. Yey!

Ellie - I also thought you were mammyjo!! Thanks for the mass-meet-up e-mail! Sounds good! We're pretty flexible. We generally have a friend/relative somewhere in the country who we can stay over with . Sheffield would be good coz I could finally take back all my overdue library books!!

CD - lol at wanting a black baby! I have asian friends and family and their kiddies are SO CUTE!!!! I also have married the wrong man! And could I put an order in for a couple of those mugs? Don't mind on colours too much, anything boy-ee I'll e-mail you

Kneehigh - good to see you around, was thinking of you and wondering how you were getting on. VERY of your bonus!! I'm sure you totally deserve it hon. enjoy!

Runny - and at fil. Hope he's recovering ok.

Bugmum - great to hear that ds1 is coping better with G crying.

Sorry to everyone I've missed. It's not intentional!

JoMa · 27/06/2007 22:34
