Hi Pinions!
Are you still not having any luck with the bottle?
Sorry to go on about T and his sleeping habits, but he was in his cot in his own room last night He had another good night, with 6 hours unbroken, then a few more in the morning.
I had an OK night, apart from dreaming the baby monitor had broken (he's about 2 metres away from us anyway ) and then waking in a cold sweat at 4am and running in to check he was breathing!

Hi katy hows it going. try not to panic too much at night.

Bottle feeding is still a joke, he would sleep so much better if only would take a bottle which is why i am so desperate! Interesting to read peoples comments though x

Sexonknackeredlegs · 24/06/2007 18:42

Hi ladies, I am back from my parents house, and am knackered! Glad dh is back and able to take on the joy that is children!

Leaky, Happy Anniversary and I hope you really enjoy your meal out.

Ellie/CD, lovers!!!!

Katy, glad thngs are going well with T.

Pinions, sorry to hear the bottle feeding is not happening. I hope someone can come along with some advice for you.

Big wave to everyone else, as I have forgotten everything else.

All ok here. K slept fab again, but I was listening out a lot for her as she was a bit far away. I did have the monitor on, but slept really badly, so early to bed methinks.
B has been her usual aggressive self. I think my parents found her a real handful.

Right, better get on with bathing etc. so will catch up with you later on.

xx

Pinions · 24/06/2007 18:47

SOKL - lol at have forgotten everything else.

My memory is now getting worse every day and have a memory span of about 30 seconds.

Even when I write down a list of things to do by the time i have got the paper ready i have forgotten what the list was - oh dear!

Its just a thought but have you tried giving B Omega 3. I give it regularly to ds1 and its amazing how its changes their behaviour. Worth giving a go IMHO.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 24/06/2007 18:57

Hi Pinions, I am willing to try anything, so thanks for the tip.

Hope you are feeling a bit better, as I know you had a shit week. xx

oooggs · 24/06/2007 18:57

hi all - children all asleep

can I just moan a bit??? you will probably think this is ok but... have decided no more kids so have sold all newborn stuff and was gradually getting rid of maternity wear. But a thread on the for sale board and listed all items with really low prices (like £2.00 per item). A mumsnetter asked how much it would be for the lot. I added it up and it came to £20 and the p&p came to £8.75 so I said she could have it for £25.00. She emailed me from her home email address so I could send her my paypal details. I thought I was doing a fellow mumsnetter a good turn. I am just selling stuff to replace with bigger sizes (formula is costing a fortune for two ) She paid via paypal and she is a maternity shop so is going to sell my stuff on at a profit. I know that is business but I am just a bit narked.

Now you all think I am making something out of nothing, maybe I should have just simmered to myself.

Hope all children are behaving, especially if you have big ones - they are the worst

Pinions · 24/06/2007 19:11

SOKL - You are welcome. It really does work, give them it daily and i am sure you will soon notice the difference. You can disguise it in a drink cup just add to their normal drink and shake, if she says it tastes funny just have sth ready to answer with b4 she askes - if that makes sense! give it twice a day don't be tempted to overdose them on it. Mine went from being a screaming/shouting/uncontrollable mess to sitting quite happily playing with toys.

Feel loads better, probably cos i've had some retail therapy, always works for me .

Also have started to take iron again and suddenly have a lot more energy so maybe that was part of the problem? That and have caught up on LOADS of sleep this weekend.

One week can be fine and the next absolutely CRAP, i know this week was most definitely the latter. If only i could get t to take bottle then i am sure that we would all sleep better.

DS1's new bed is arriving tomorrow, he calls it his speedy bed (lightening mcqueen) cos we have bought the sheets to go with it, so maybe he will be "wanting" to go to bed instead of the usual trauma we have at bedtime.

OOOGS - Yes i would be annoyed with that too. Probably a shop on ebay, to be resold on, thanks for the idea .

Just worth thinking about that any size 16/18 maternity clothes go for a fortune on ebay.

Starting to waffle again,am supposed to be putting a bid in on ebay for dp whoops, memory again.

oooggs · 24/06/2007 19:16

OTCO I know you can hear down 'ere in Cornwall. Wheres the good weather you were bringing??? We have had downpours all day.

Katy44 · 24/06/2007 19:36

hi everyone
Pinions, really hope you get the bottle thing sorted soon Don't have any advice I'm afraid as I think you've tried everything, apart from inventing a bottle the same size, shape, texture, temperature and smell as your boobs!
SOKL, hope you have a good night's sleep.
oooggs, no you're not being unreasonable, IMO selling on MN is like selling to friends and to get rid of your stuff rather than selling in a business ay, like on ebay. Maybe we're being naive though. Thanks for letting me kno about the 16/18 clothes Pinions, might have to sell a few bits, although I confess I'm still wearing the tops, they're just nice and long. Trousers are a bit big now though!
I had a question I was going to ask but have no idea what it is.

Katy44 · 24/06/2007 19:37

Oh yes, ho do you get the £250 Child Trust Fund thing? DO I have to send off for it? Was under the impression it would just arrive once Child Benefit had been sorted?

OP posts:
oooggs · 24/06/2007 19:46

my arrived in the post I just have to bank them. Can't remember what triggered their arrival though

yeah selling to friends, that what I thought

backhomenow · 24/06/2007 19:50

It should just arrive Katy, think it's once you register for Child Tax Credit as that's what they base the amount you receive on.

Pinions · 24/06/2007 19:50

Katy You normally automatically just get it through the post once you have registered for child benefit and also tax credit. If not give the tax credit people a ring and ask for the tel no.

If you need any help with ebay just ask as I like to consider myself a bit of an expert and selling on ebay is my absolute passion - sad i know but i have to have some sort of hobby, and one that makes £££'s too can't really go wrong. Only try to tell dp that when theres 10 sack loads of crap in the garage. oh well.

People source things to sell on ebay from loads of different places.

Eddas · 24/06/2007 19:53

Katy, mine just arrived once benefit was dealt with.

Oooggs, i'd be VERY annoyed with that. Actually it puts me off selling on here TBH. Like you said you sell at a low price to help a fellow mner.

Pinions, i'm with you on the retail therapy

Liath, have you done the pic yet?

Happy anniversary Leaky

Was the party good CD?

Hi everyone else

Glad the SE meetup was a success. Wish i'd been there. Would love to do a BIG meetup.

Well I had a fun day IRONING[boring]

Yesterday was good though, me and my sis took dd to see Mary Poppins. She LOVED it. Was a little long for her but she was REALLY good. So proud of her. It made up for all those times she's a PITA which is most other days

Was a bit scary taking a 3 yo on the underground on a saturday though, but she didn't run off once, she didn't even try

Katy44 · 24/06/2007 19:54

Thanks everyone, will look into it now

OP posts:
Pinions · 24/06/2007 19:57

And yeh liath pictures please .

oooggs · 24/06/2007 19:59

exactly Eddas - especially as I am always selling & buying on ebay, sold cheap on here to help out .

Mary Poppins sounds better than Tweenies Live

backhomenow · 24/06/2007 19:59

matthew's home
and playing with his castle
did have to go get him some playmobil people to play in it with but now he's loving it

he's a bit clingy but otherwise very well, tho from his tan you'd think he'd been in the carribean for a week or two

oooggs · 24/06/2007 20:00

eddas - how do you do that picture rail thingy please?

backhomenow · 24/06/2007 20:00

i'd be annoyed too oooggs, i do think twice before freecycling stuff in case it's being sold on

oooggs · 24/06/2007 20:00

welcome home Matthew

oooggs · 24/06/2007 20:02

yeah ellie - I have just been asking questions on the freecycle thread. Manybe you could help me. how does it work? as I would be joining a big group in a small town so bound to know loads of them. At what point do you know who you are dealing with/see their email address?

Eddas · 24/06/2007 20:04

oooggs, just sign up then you can download the pics, took me a while to figure it out, bit dumb about these things, here's a link to the site

OP posts:
Eddas · 24/06/2007 20:06
