if, not is, of course..hi pinions!

Katy44 · 20/06/2007 08:56

So if his last feed's 7, what time does he normally wake?
I think T was actually fed at 5 though, he fell asleep at 7 before his next feed!

OP posts:
Katy44 · 20/06/2007 08:57

no it can't have been he'd have gone 7 hrs!
No, I remember he fell asleep as I was feeding him at 7pm!

Katy - nice to "c" u on my thread!

Oooggs - bless! As for answering back we have now got a reward chart, so ANY answering back, i don't want to, no, etc etc means he "loses" his sticker for the day and means no present at the end of the week. also can bribe him to say sorry for anything naughty aswell. Yes this is total manipulative blackmail but it really does work (obviously though NOT on road safety but on everything else).

SOKL - ditto, reward charts (you might already have one?) are great, can use blackmail every second of every day so every time B answers you back, threaten to remove a sticker ie no present at the end of the week. TBH not something really expensive just a small gift. And the road safety course i would pay £1000 for one of those right now..any takers?

Ange - not sure if got the wrong end of the stick but ditto on the baron/barren wasteland bit.Not a concern here though, think of myself first.

Eddas - am sick to death of shouting and nagging, in the same boat as you. but getting bloody nowhere.

Pesha - thats a great idea and no it doesn't sound awful cos you are doing it obviously for the right reasons think i'll try that one aswell. Ta.

I think thats all the mentioners! Would love to sit and chat all day but unfortunately and apparantly its too late to turn back, i am now a mother so duties call once again.

Maybe there is a light DS1 has just told me, totally unprovoked "Mummy I promise I will hold your hand today." Well its a start.

Also "bottle training" continues today because I am fed up of pretending to be Daisy the Cow.

Bye for now and chat later, have a good day everyone, at least the sun is shining x

Katy44 · 20/06/2007 08:58

Pinions - sounds like your DS1 is getting the message - I hope so

Morning. Just a quick post as running out of the door.

I would like to apologise as it was me who suggested the title, not Ange. Hope no-one took offence.

Quick question, for those whose lo's have had jabs.

Did they lose their appetite at all? K seems to only be taking about 3 ounces and then spitting it out.

Back later. Apologies again. xx

Katy44 · 20/06/2007 09:01

SOKL - it's a sense of humour
not everyone is blessed

Katy44 · 20/06/2007 09:04

I'm not making any sense this morning.
Anyway, just to clarify,I didn't take offense at all, just didn't want the usual nastiness of us being the subject of an AIBU thread - especially as quite a few people on here are having a hard time and can do without it. I could have been wrong, but better safe than sorry. We'll leave the offensive threads to the AN people
Would also like to know about appetite as T has his jabs next week. Hope K is back to normal soon

OP posts:
Pinions · 20/06/2007 09:05

It would take a lot more than that to offend us!

T has had his jabs and totally fine. Didn't lose appetite at all. Only a bit grumpy and tired for the day thats all.

Katy and SOKL - psoriasis is still TOTALLY gone which is pretty ironic really considering the amount of shit going on right now. I can wear nice clothes for a change. TBH its when i am working too that i get properly stressed. But thank god its still clear have got mountains and mountains of info on it so theres anything in particular just email me.

Pinions · 20/06/2007 09:07

Really got to go now and pretend to be a mum.

Katy44 · 20/06/2007 09:08

funny, i've been pretending to be a grown up for ten years
when can i stop and go home to my mum?

lol you two. bummer about the psoriasis katy44 - i would do a sad face for you but can´t one handed!!

if he eats at 7pm or 8pm and then falls asleep about 10pm he often sleeps til 4am. if i wake him at e.g 11pm for a dream (ha! again)) feed he wakes at 2 or 3am! hmmmm...

right, it´s getting hot.. off to pool x x x

liath · 20/06/2007 09:17

Is this the right thread?? ! Mind you, I am that barren wasteland at the moment.

Ds fed twice last night but hardly took anything each time - starting to suspect he's doing it more for comfort. I wonder if I carry on with him in the bed he'll turn into one of those BF babies that snacks all night then it'll be impossible to get him into the cot....Think I'll ask DH to move cot into our room today (unfortunately will have to be dismantled as it's a cotbed).

Pinions, I read somewhere recently that apparently children have no common sinse until the age of eight !! I was gobsmacked, I'm not sure that can be right .

It is tipping down here so off to meet a friend who has a toddler. Otherwise I'll feel imprisoned and run out of things to do with dd then she'll start whinging and the day goes rapidly downhill.

Yesterday proved I could never be a child minder - I looked after my sister's ds's (age 2 and 5 months) while she went for a haircut. Within 5 minutes I'd resorted to a DVD (which held their attention for 10 minutes max) then after some constructive drawing & play all hell broke loose as I was BF Jonathan, trying to stop baby nephew crying & the toddlers escaped into the utility room and were screaming as dd was trying to insert her cousin into the washing machine !!

Felt SOOO guilty as DH was upstairs trying to sleep before his night shift. Oops. Will need to be nice to him today, it's his birthday & he;ll be knackered AND we have his mother (who he referred to as "that bloody old woman" on her last visit ) coming to stay!! Wish me luck!!

zazas · 20/06/2007 09:41

hi all, typing with my left hand only so a short message! had a good read - will post later when the baby decides she has had enough.... could be awhile.......

mammyjo · 20/06/2007 09:53

Morning all. Look at that, the one time I have a thread title inspired by something I said and its too bloody offensive!! Wash my mouth out right now!!

SOKL, sorry to hear B has the dreaded nits again. What a PITA. How is K now? Has she fed a bit better this morning. Maybe she just feels a bit off colour. Hope she settles back down again soon. Good luck with B's jabs today xx

Katy, sorry to hear you had a bad night and your psoriasis has flared again. Will you get chance for a rest today?

Liath, best of luck having MIL to stay! Not my idea of a good time thats for sure!! I agree with you, I could NEVER be a childminder. I struggle enough with my own let alone being responsible for other peoples children too.

Pinions, hope you have a better day today. Maybe your ds is starting to get the message. Fingers crossed eh!

mammyjo · 20/06/2007 09:54

Morning zazas!

Katy44 · 20/06/2007 09:54

mammyjo you are a potty mouth!
Am off to see my mum in a sec, she's just found out she's got early retirement from her job
Will be busy today but I won't be solely responsible for entertaining T so will be a bit more relaxing than usual
Hope you all have a good day xx

mammyjo · 20/06/2007 10:20

Enjoy your day Katy, and make the most of the extra help!

nuttygirl · 20/06/2007 10:29

Morning all,

Pinions - I will reply to your email. I'm going to put a few directions in (but will need DHs help!!!). Do you know how to get to the white rose shopping centre or Elland Road stadium?

Hi Zazas!

Sorry to hear about the psoriasis Katy.

Have a great time at the pool Maveta - very of you.

Octo - Did you get the money alright? DH said he'd paypaled you (it would appear as alan something...not quite sure what!) Also do you still have my address (I'm guessing you do cos you seem a lot more organised than me!!!)

SOKL - Erin was a bit off her food after her jabs (made DH v worried cos of the HV saying she hadn't put enough weight on last week). She did get better at taking it after the first day but it took a couple of days to get back to normal (although we had just changed to new teats too so not sure how much was because of that)

Liath - good luck with the MIL!!!

Hi Mammyjo!

Am wondering whether to go and have a bra fitting this weekend. I have no idea what size I am anymore, still wearing saggy nursing bras!!! Tried some on in La Senza last weekend but they didn't seem to fit right and I couldn't be arsed to try anymore on cos it was too warm.

Pinions · 20/06/2007 10:43

Hi nutty - funnily enough thats the only part of leeds i am useless at but will manage on google! will probably time it when nightmare ds1 is at preschool to make a bit easier!

Have just tried giving T a bottle - no chance and the sage continues!

Pinions · 20/06/2007 10:44

Saga not sage haven't tried adding sage yet.

TWO screaming kids. Have had enough being a mother.

mammyjo · 20/06/2007 10:51

Oh pinions. I can really understand where you are coming from. Its so hard and so trying sometimes. Are you trying to wean T off you? Sorry I am sure you have probably said that but I cant remember. Is it important that he takes a bottle now or could you leave it a few weeks until maybe you feel a bit brighter?

geordiemacminx · 20/06/2007 11:00

ooooooo i know how to get to the white rose - i used to work at the arlington business centre which is right next door
