K could do whole days hanging off my boobs, definitely a comfort sucker!!!!

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 22:58

I know!!

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:58

matthew just called, he's back at grandmas house now, i get to see him in the morning

but not until his lazy arse father drags himself out of bed

might say stuff it and collect him myself, even if it means dressing him and packing his bags myself

can you tell i miss him?

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 22:59

Needs new batteries too!!

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:59

but it didn't stop me loving every minute of my stay

even the puncture added excitement

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 23:00

Awwwwww! & you've got a lovely castle to give him now too!!

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 23:01

We loved having you!!

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 23:02

I think someone's going to come & tell us "to go & get a room" in a min!

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 23:02

i've told him about the castle so now i have to get it up before he comes home

Dippy persuuaded me to buy a wooden slot together castle at a nearly new sale today, but had to dismantle it to get it home so now i have to re-assemble it with the aid of just some pics i took on my phone

i'll be up til morning doing it!

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 23:03

happy anniversary leaky! hope you have a lovely day..

i just ask re. feeding times cos N used to take about 40mins which i know is long but with the tongue tie and everything i figured it made sense. but then the time didn´t go down after the tie was cut (he IS a very sucky baby, dummies, hands, fingers and of course, nipples!). however suddenly he seems finished after 20mins and i just wanted to see how this compared, worried he wasn´t finishing feeding.

cos he lagged on weight for a bit i´ve also always fed him til he stops with that drunken look but now he seems to lose interest before it gets that far.. but he seems fine, still going 3 or 4 hrs between feeds etc..hey i´m all for quicker feeds! lol

night before last he slept from 10pm to 6am!!! was not repeated last night - 4am feed - but i´ll take more nights like that if they´re going!

liath · 24/06/2007 08:07

Morning & happy anniversary Leaky.

Feeds take 5-10 minutes here. I have such a fast let down it was causing major problems a few weeks ago but now ds is used to it he can glug down a feed in record time. Just as bloody well considering he fed four times overnight the last 2 nights. Have been trying to get him to settle away from me but he's not having any of it, spends all night snuggled into the boob, happy as Larry.

MIL gone home. I always feel guilty when she stays because I find her SO irritating but she really is incredibly dull and negative. It's like having a Dementor from the Harry Potter books to stay. I asked her if she'd read a certain author and she said "I don't read anymore I just sit on my own and do nothing". I feel sorry for her but she is getting really dependant (mainly on poor SIL), won't do anything herself, always moaning about getting old when she's quite fit for her age really. We finally nagged her into seeing her GP but she only took antidepressants for a couple of weeks then stopped and hasn't been back.

Anyway, we have promised to take her to Center Parcs next spring but both DH and his sister feel as if they have to be responsible for making her happy.

I'll get DH to take a photo of me in the Housecoat later - I'm sure I have some hair rollers somewhere too .

Good morning,

Happy Anniversary Leaky, hope you have a great day!

Glad the meet up went well, am looking forward to meeting the other Scottish mums on Tuesday.

Had a bit of an adventure yesterday - L vomited what looked like dirt, so after a quick call to NHS24, went racing to sick kids hospital to be checked out. Had to wait for Dr to come so asked nurse if I could feed my starving baby - got told no in case Dr didn't want baby fed. So tried to calm her down until Dr arrived - her screaming, me in tears because of the vomit and the fact not allowed to feed her. Dr finally came and said 'She's quite upset, do you want to feed her before I examine her?' . Grrrrr. SO mad. Anyway, she is fine and vomit was digested blood from my (still) not healed nipple which doesn't harm her at all - the vomit just a bit scary looking.

The punchline is my HV has asked me to come to an ante-natal bf workshop to talk to expectant mums about bf! After my struggles with bf they won't be getting the 'it's easy and doesn't hurt' version of the story. Am expecting to be asked to leave once I get going on cracked nipples & pain!

Have a good day!

Morning - on way to shower!

Bumble had to LOL a bit at the comparision between your MIL & A Dementor - My mother is v.similar to what you described - v.negative & impossible company - Thank goodness she has gone, eh!!?

Off to church, then lunch, then Birthday Party ..... madness!!

Happy Anniversary again Leaky - Any plans??

Little Big Boy coming back sooooooon, ellie!!

leakyR · 24/06/2007 11:19

Morning all

DH has taken George to supermarket in pushchair so i have plenty of time to have a shower and get ready. Or go on MN

Feel much better today. DH and I had a big chat last night and cracked open a bottle of cava we've had since G was born. Only had 2 glasses - went straight to my head. Despite G waking every 2 hours last night I'm happier, knackered but happier.

Meant to say yesterday that Bramshott's girls are lovely.

Loving the idea of a BIG central meet up.

Ellie - hope Matthew likes his castle, you must be really excited about seeing him again.

Thanks for all the happy anniversary messages. Dh gave me some lovely earrings this morning (silver hearts) and less romantically a punk cd which I also love(he knows me so well). My in-laws arrive this afternoon to babysit. If the weather is okay we'll probably go for a walk. Then tonight DH and I are eating out alone for the first time since G was born! Think we're going for Italian as our honeymoon was in Venice, Verona and Lake Garda.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

AngeG · 24/06/2007 12:36

Morning All,

Happy anniversary LeakyR. Hope you have a good day. Enjoy your meal tonight.

Hope you have a good if hectic day Dippy

Bumble sorry you had a bit of a scare yesterday, glad it's all sorted now.

Liath - PMSL at dementor MIL Feeds here like you take 5-10 mins, I also have a very fast let down...however she also likes to comfort suck especially in the evenings! Looking forward to the photo!!

Maveta - Glad the feeds are taking a shorter time. I think they also get more efficient at feeding the older they get also, so maybe that and the tongue tie combined making shorter feeds.

CaptainDippy · 24/06/2007 12:53

Hi Ange & Leaky!! Ooooh, Leaky - your plans sound lovely - have a wonderful time!!

All 3 girls sleeping so just catching up on some paperwork & then off to Party ....

Katy44 · 24/06/2007 15:30
