Hello all,

Glad you all enjoyed the meet up.

LOL @ the dressing gown Liath. When we went to visit my great aunt (97years old) with Erin she offered me one of her old coats...you know a real old gran type coat. I said no thanks...I needn't have worried tho, it was a size 10 I haven't been a 10 since I was about 16!

Went to Bravissimo for a bra fitting today...my god, I went in a 36C and came out a 34F . It was fab!

Katy44 · 23/06/2007 14:07

T slept from 11.30 last night to 6am!

Fantastic news Katy. Well done T

liath · 23/06/2007 15:52

Oh but well done T!

Ds was up & down like a yo-yo last night and has been feeding frequently today too so I wonder if he's having a growth spurt.

  • I managed to insert myself into a pair of pre-pregnancy size 12 jeans!! Am well chuffed, maybe BF is good for something after all !!
oooggs · 23/06/2007 16:39

left dt's with dh for the afternoon and ds1 and I have just been to see Tweenies live in the Plymouth Pallivions oh the joys of parenthood >!!!

Katy44 · 23/06/2007 18:12

pmsl @ katy! don´t know if they´re particularly ´perky´but small at least - lol. i guess it might be hard if you have big boobs, hadn´t thought of that. n´s head is above the nipple when he sits but i just aim it at him and he lunges for it - oh god the image - he does slump a bit once he´s got it but still seems comfy. have just fed him like that now and been duly rewarded with a nice big poo. lucky me..

quick survey for those who breastfeed - how long does each feed take?

the hair appt went totally without incident.. n slept on the train, all through the hair appt and subsequent grocery shop with dh and all the way home. what a star! and ny hair is fabulous! i feel like my old pre preg self is slowly returning. loving the photos and will try and post some myself soon.

leakyR · 23/06/2007 18:33

Hello all

Feeling crappy today no reason in particular just a bit down. Been an absolute witch to DH, know I'm doing it but it's like I can't help myself.

Hope I feel better tomorrow it's our first wedding anniversary!

Yes I know if you do the maths you can see I came back fron honeymoon with more than a suntan

leakyR · 23/06/2007 18:37

Maveta George mostly feeds for 10 mins or so during day, night feeds can be longer but I think he comfort sucks. He's definitely more efficient at getting milk now; used to feed for upto 30 mins when he was a newborn.

Katy44 · 23/06/2007 21:31

maveta, glad the hair appointment went well, still at the perky boobs. T takes about 20-25 mins for a 'full' feed, sometimes he only feeds for 10 mins but then seems hungry again a couple of hours later. From a bottle, he can take up to an hour!

LesleyR, sorry you're feeling so bad, hope you have a good night and feel better tomorrow.

Boo!! Evenin' all!

Glad you got your hair done ok, Maveta hon. xx

George & Tristan are GORGEOUS Leaky & Katy .... Awwwwww! Yum!!

Well, the "Ellie & Joe Show" left at about 6.30ish so should be getting home within the next hour. It was v.v. to say "goodbye" to them - we had such a lovely time together - they are even lovelier in RL than they are on MN! Truly superb - We all thoroughly enjoyed the SE Meet-Up too - GREAT to see all the lovely laydees & their scrumptious bubbas - Thank you all for making the effort to be there - waspelly, Bramshott, AngeG, SOKL, Elkiedee, EllieK, Pesha, Emmymummy ...... It was soooo lovely to "see" you all! (Really hope I didn't miss anyone out there - if I did, it wasn't intentional - brain is mush ..... neeeeeeed sleeeeeeeep!!)

Right, going to go & pop washing on ......

WaspElly · 23/06/2007 21:35

hi all - Great to see/ meet the gang at eh SE meet up.
Bramshott I agree they really are just beeeeutiful babies (well they would have to be wouldn't they!) I too particularly liked the buggy display team/convoy down pavements, our procession was so long it took 2 goes to get us all across one pedestrian crossing!
One advantage of travelling in numbers was that we blocked the train bike store area up so effectively the conductor promoted us to the extra legroom of 1st class on the way home.

One of the things we mentioned on the train home was that we, between us all, really ought to arange a BIG meet up - probs London for ease of public transport, but wondered what everyone else thought? Ir ealsie it'll take a whole lot of organisation re: dates, but if we try hard enough to get one in before the return to workers go, it would be really good to actually meet the rest of you...

Maveta - I have to say that as Tamsin's hugging the 25th 'centile I just let her carry on until her eyes are rolling she's so nearly asleep....but I draw the line at more than 20 mins per boob - at least swapping over. The way i see it is that it all helps milk production, though I guess that T's really just going to be a skinny minx.

AngeG - hope things are getting better hon.

Happy weekend all

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 21:35

{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}} Leaky BTW - hope you have a super lovely Anniversary tomorrow ......

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 21:37

Hi WaspElly!! I think it would be absolutely FAB to have a big meet-up - defiintely! Would take some serious organising thouh!! Fab stuff about being given seats in 1st Class on the way home BTW - nice one!!

Pinions · 23/06/2007 22:05

Haven't really read the whole thread but had to say :

LIATH We want pictures of you in that coat PURLEEEASE!!! Absolutely pmsl.

And of course glad the meet up went well.

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 22:18

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:38

that's better

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:40

ooh waspelly
we said the same about a big meet up, tho maybe somewhere more central so those up north can make it? and in a big park or somewhere so we can do picnic lunch from a nearby supermarket?

i'm happy to do the organising if people give me ideas

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 22:45

Hey chick!!

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:52

hey
moobs is feeding again

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 22:54

LOL Phoebe's is sleeping & I am pumping!!

CaptainDippy · 23/06/2007 22:55

'Smarvellous!

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:55

maveta, Joe feeds for up to 15 mins each time, every 3 hours during the day, every 5 hours overnight.

Matthew used to feed for up to 45 mins but he was a comfort sucker, Joe isn't.

backhomenow · 23/06/2007 22:57

did you realise your pump is bloody loud?
