Hello!!!!!

The meet up was great!!!! The weather was fab, and it was lovely to meet everyone again and new ladies too.

Nutty, sorry to hear you are having problems. K is going through a period of taking the full 6 ounces sometimes, and at other times only 4, even though she makes out she is starving. As long as she is putting on weight, then I can't see a problem. I do appreciate your worries though. Hugs to you.

Dh still not bloody home due to traffic. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Katy44 · 22/06/2007 19:08

Hi SOKL - wasn't expecting you lot back just yet. Glad you had a good day.
Some new pictures of T on my profile.

leakyR · 22/06/2007 19:09

GMM and Katy I will be in NE 14-22 July for sure. Would be great to meet up.

Glad the SE ladies and babies had a successful day.

Katy44 · 22/06/2007 19:11

Well I'm in Worcester the 2nd weekend of that week, but can do during the week (would prefer to avoid the Friday)
GMM??
Also, where? Shall we call it a mini-meet-up?

OP posts:
leakyR · 22/06/2007 19:21

I'll be staying in Morpeth, but can travel to wherever is convenient. Any day okay for me apart from 15th when I'm doing Race for Life.
Think DH is playing golf on Wed or Thu so those would be good days for me to escape but I am flexible.

By the way Katy love pics of T on your profile (he's a sweetie) and the stealth polar bear!

Katy44 · 22/06/2007 19:58

Newcastle would seem the obvious place (or the Metro Ctr might be a bit more baby friendly, easier to park and OK if it's raining??)
Thanks Lesley - stealth polar bear was to do with me nipping in and out of our kitchen trying not to set the alarm off in my polar bear suit (aka dressing gown). Was 2 or 3 days before we had T, aaah (misty eyed)

How far os Metro Ctr from Morpeth, quite a way? Sorry, seems 'in the middle' to me, but probably isn't!!

OP posts:
leakyR · 22/06/2007 20:01

Metro Ctr is just straight down A1 so not too far. Newcastle is also doable.

Katy44 · 22/06/2007 20:05

Shall we see what GMM prefers?

maveta (if you're around, you must have very perky norks!
Sorry to get so personal but I tried feeding T on my knee as you suggested, he was about a foot above where he needed to be! I didn't even get to the problem of how to hold his wriggly arms and leg down!

Katy44 · 22/06/2007 20:06

Wednesday or Thursday would be fine with me - in fact I may need a few bits for my weekend away so ideal really.

OP posts:
leakyR · 22/06/2007 20:18

Sounds good to me. We'll see what GMM thinks too.

leakyR · 22/06/2007 21:27

Seeing as you all appear to have gone and got lives I'll say goodnight. Might clean bathroom as Ils are coming on Sunday.

Cleaning bathroom on Friday night! I guess that means I officially do not have a life!

Eddas · 22/06/2007 21:29

Where is everyone tonight

SE ladies hope you had a great meet up. SOKL said you did.

I'm bored.

DD FINALLY stopped talking(she's asleep)
DS FINALLY stopped crying (he's asleep)

My and my sis are taking dd to watch mary poppins in London tomorrow. That's a 3 hour show, well nearly, do we think a 3 yo will sit for 3 hours we'll see. And before that an hours train journey. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time, lol

AngeG · 22/06/2007 21:39

Hi all

Just wanted to second what SOKL said...the SE meet up today was fabulous, the weather was fantastic and meeting up with the girls again was great, and of course those that we met for the first time.

I'm so glad that I've 'met' all of you on here, it's so lovely to know that there is always somewhere there. You're all just great

geordiemacminx · 22/06/2007 21:45

Oooops I seem to have missed all those messages...

I havent really got any plans for headin south other than 2nd July as mum is back from her hols then, but the 18th or 19th would be fine for me too, can sort it out a bit closer to the time eh?

Katy44 · 22/06/2007 21:54

Wow! A real live meet up!

I've been home for a few hours, but Danny seems to have fallen into a pattern of being quite peaceful all day then giving us a hard time in the early evening, so it takes us hours to get him settled enough that we can eat tea etc. He's waking up a bit now, but is happy at this moment lying on a nursing cushion on my lap.

It was nice meeting everyone, and funny the nine of us trooping down the street from the station to a cafe, I'm afraid I only matched up either or both pseudonymns and real names to half the other faces.

On the way back to the station I saw 5 other women all with buggies - wonder what their connection was to each other!

Looking forward to meeting nuttygirl next month, and have also been invited to Bethnal Green to meet some of the May 2007 people (I gatecrashed there while waiting, but of course, May was when Danny got round to putting in an appearance).

weeonion · 23/06/2007 04:07

oooggs · 23/06/2007 08:24

that was early wee onion!!!!

liath · 23/06/2007 08:35

Morning, glad the meet up went well and looking forward to the Scottish one on tuesday.

Enjoy Pride, WO though can't say the weather is exactly promising over here.

MIL still here, but leaves this afternoon. She brought me a housecoat as a present. A polyester, check pattern housecoat. Does anyone under 60 even wear the things? What was she thinking? She keeps grabbing ds and trying to make him burp - she is obsessed with winding him.

Off to Tumble Tots later. Have a good weekend everyone.

Bramshott · 23/06/2007 10:50

Liath - !!!!!!!! at housecoat! Hope you post a picture of you wearing it!

SE Ladies - great to see you all yesterday and meet all your beautiful (and let's face it, they are all very beautiful!) babies. Ellie, Pesha, Elkie - great to meet you all for the first time. Our drive home was pretty quick and I was in time to liberate N from nursey before they shut!

Katy44 · 23/06/2007 11:17

Do you have some rollers to put in while you're wearing it

OP posts:
Sexonknackeredlegs · 23/06/2007 11:20

Morning all.

Liath, pmsl at the housecoat - what was she thinking of???

Elkie, glad you managed to get back across London ok - rather you than me I have to say!

Hope the Scottish ladies enjoy their meet up and the Northern lasses get something arranged too. It really is great to meet people in RL.

Dh is off to a Uni reunion today, so the girls (incl. me) are de-camping to my parents for the weekend, after B has been to yet another party! Such a social butterfly.

So, may not be back on until tomorrow some time. Have lovely days/evenings ladies.

xx

Sexonknackeredlegs · 23/06/2007 11:20

Katy, I was just thinking about rollers - kind of Hilda Ogden-esque!!
