Oli,

Bizarrely its the Organised Mum calendar and Organiser that I am looking at, we have used the flylady wall calendar for the last few years which I love and the organsied mum one is very similar but would have benefit of the UK bank holidays already on it and would be a little bit cheaper, but I do prefer the flylady stickers {blush] how sad am I!

Glad I'm not the only one to argue over such stupid stuff.

BP - Was your neighbour feeding the cats or something for you? How did they get in to filch your drinks? Can't believe they topped it up with water!! Thats the sort of thing I did at 16 with my parents alcahol, but they didn't drink and it was only ever offered to guests.... Wonder if any guest ever said anything to them... Havn't thought about that in years LOL

WB , we had the boiler serviced today and they said it'd need doing again in 6 months and I ran to get my calendar to see if there was a boiler service sticker (there isn't in case you were wondering!), it's like being 10 years old again.

Lol (sympathetically) @ BP's early morning housework. My house is always spotless at 7am, shame the other 2 get up and undo all my hard work!!

Magnolia, I know where you stand with the cc - dh suggested it yesterday and I got really upset with him, I just can't face going through that, or ds2 going though that. We did it with ds1 and it worked but I couldn't take that level of stress again. AFAIK, the really heavy duty sleep clinics use sedatives as part of their treatment for non-sleepers so don't feel bad about it.

Dh is putting ds2 to bed just now. First time ever. I bf him downstairs and dh has gone to do the rest. So far there's no screaming.............oh, footsteps on the stairs and silence on the monitor........ he's done it, he's actually managed to get him to sleep. Give the man a round of applause . Now we just have to see what the rest of the night brings...........

Olihan · 27/07/2007 20:29

BP, only just taken in the bit about the drinks cupboard. Is this the alcoholic neighbour? That's pretty serious stuff, stealing other people's drink. Poor woman. And poor you, will you say anything? What's happened about the kids there recently?

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 27/07/2007 20:30

dd2 is constipated - I have tried prunes, increasing water. Can't think of anything else to do.

Any ideas?

Olihan · 27/07/2007 20:34

Diluted orange juice? Ds2 has started to go a couple of days between poos and realy sssssssttttttttttttrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnniiiiiiinnnnnnnngggggggg to get them out when he finally does go. It's still soft poo though so I'm never quite sure if it's real consipation or not. How long is it since she last pooed?

babypowder · 27/07/2007 20:57

Oli, your DH is truly a marvel. Would he offer lessons to myDH?

And, yes, it is my alcoholic neighbour. She feeds the cats for us when we're away, and I carefully make sure that everything is hidden away. I feel quite, I dunno, violated (?) knowing that she has gone through my cupboards looking for things. Makes me wonder what else she's seen.

I know that I was foolish asking her to feed the cats, but it seemed such an innocuous thing. After all, the cat food is at the back door - there's no need for her to be in the rest of the house at all. Feel , and .

Still, we've got a party tomorrow. Wahay! I may even have several glasses of wine.

Olihan · 27/07/2007 21:01

Gosh, BP, that's horrendous. I think violated is probably pretty accurate. Is there any way you can lock the area where the cats are from the rest of the house? Although I guess you won't be asking her to feed the cats again in a hurry. Her alcoholism is a pretty big burden for you too really, isn't it?

GodzillasBumcheek · 27/07/2007 21:40

Just wanted to post a big as i have fed Maia in my arms (as opposed to on floor with head on cushion which have had to for months) twice today!!!
This is a major breakthrough for us - i just hope this continues.

Olihan · 27/07/2007 21:53

Hooray, well done Bumcheek and Baby Bumcheek . That's brilliant. You must be so pleased with yourself and her. Here's to another succesful day tomorrow.

Olihan · 27/07/2007 21:57

Ooh, just had a nosy at your pics, Bumcheek - they;re lovely. Are your older dds twins? Magnolia has twin girls of a similar age, I think. Gorgeous hair colour too, will dd3 go that way do you think?

FunkyGlassSlipper · 27/07/2007 22:15

I'm feeling like a good mum today good food day still battling with milk but hey, they cant get everything right.

well done to any dad's getting babies off to bed

GodzillasBumcheek · 27/07/2007 22:22

Yes they are twins, Oli! Well spotted. I think they both were showing definate gingerness by seven months, so this time i have a mousey-brown or 'dirty-blonde' haired dd!

babypowder · 27/07/2007 22:50

Bumcheeks, your girls are just gorgeous. Very of the twins' hair!

GodzillasBumcheek · 27/07/2007 22:52

Thanking you on their behalf - i really can't claim credit for nature and good genes (puffs up proudly).
Am off to feed dd3 now though, goodnight!

SachaF · 27/07/2007 23:03

Congrats G's Bumcheek! I remember reading about that a while back - had no idea you were still having to do that! It must have felt so nice!
DS (7 months, 2 days)has propelled himself forward commando style for the first time! He had made small attemps before and cried with frustration, today he was exploring all parts of the room! (and then not napping but oh well). [PFB proudness emoticon]

FunkyGlassSlipper · 28/07/2007 05:39

Isnt it funny how you go from very to very with your babies in the space of hours!!

babypowder · 28/07/2007 09:27

FGS, if I was up with my LO at 5:39 I'd go from to , completely bypassing

Olihan · 28/07/2007 10:06

I think someone may have swapped my baby with somebody else's. Last night, not only did he let dh put him to bed (unheard of) he then slept form 8pm to 12am, fed then slept until 4am, fed then slept until 6:30am (all equally unheard of). 4 hours, I had 4 hours of sleep in a row. I haven't had that for 7 months. I feel like a new(ish) woman!!

Sacha, I think their sleep always goes a little bit to pot when they learn a new trick like crawling. Well done Baby Sacha though, time for mummy to start crawling round the floor finding all those interesting things you're not allowed to eat .

Ds2 has mastered his own particular moving style this week too, it's a sort of crawl on one knee and one foot . Not very fast but gets him around! He's also realised that standing up in his cot is a good game, as is pulling himself up to standing on anything that stays still. Cue lots of falling over and bumping his head!

FGS, I but you were using expression a lot at 5:39, weren't you? [sympathy]

Olihan · 28/07/2007 10:07

FGS, I bet you were using that expression a lot at 5:39 .

Elibean · 28/07/2007 10:28

AAARGH our internet has been down all week! Not had time to catch up on a single post, just got connection back and dds waiting....but a flying wave at you all, and hopefully the thing will stay connected and I can catch up later.

Hope all well - had mean fever virus here (dd1) and dd2 still frantically teething, but otherwise we're alive and kicking

Olihan · 28/07/2007 10:31

Hello, Eli, we missed you! Darned internet, eh!

weirdbird · 28/07/2007 15:00

SHE SLEPT ALLLLLL NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Late bedtime, neither went to bed till 9pm, but I also fell asleep and DH left me to it as I was already in bed, and she didnt wake up till 6.30 this morning!

I am a new women! My libido even thought about making an appearance this morning!

OP posts:
weirdbird · 28/07/2007 15:03

We also finally figured out how to crawl forawrds after having spent the last few weeks just going backwards, not bad for 6.5 months, but big sister was walking at 7 months so this feels quite laid back in comparison....

My trick for babyproofing is to borrow a friends slighlty older LO and you soon realise what needs to move

OP posts:
Olihan · 28/07/2007 15:36

OMG, WB, your dd1 walked at 7 months? That's incredible. Dd walked at 10 months and that was bad enough, nice in a way but so much extra work. Can't imagine chasing a 7mo around.

Neither of the other 2 crawled until 8 months so to have ds2 on the move at 6.5 mo is also a bit of a shock. I've just begun to realise how many of the toys we have are completely unsuitable for ds2 at his age. He's already munched his way through ds1's magazines, much to ds1's disgust!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 28/07/2007 16:21

Lol. Babyglass is doing backward crawl at the moment and shimmying around in a way which means she gets whereever she wants to be. I had to give DD1 and DH a lecture about leaving things out earlier.
