Yep. That's right. A great big pair of norks.

Like I said - squirt 'em in the face!!

elkiedee · 17/06/2007 14:02

We're now worrying that Danny might have a temperature - of course this is far more important than the argument but I find it a bit much for someone to dismiss hurling a load of abuse at me as "irrelevant" - if the argument had gone the other way round I would be apologising at the same time as worrying about Danny.

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 14:02

Same thing happened with my DD2 Elkie, tis v. Much sympathy ....

EllieK · 17/06/2007 14:02

yeah, i gave him a feed at 8.30 last night, she had him for midnight, 4am, 10 am feeds

gave her aptimil for 4am feed so she didn't have to defrost/warm, she's 76, thought that was pushing it a little

Eddas, your lo's are gorgeous! Your dd is beautiful.

Off to pick up B soon. Looking forward to seeing her, but also concerned that she may have been spoilt rotten and will be a complete pita for us.

Right, need to shift my arse, so see you all later. xx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 17:17

Gosh! Only 1 post since I left earlier! Just met up with a couple hwo have just moved to Eastbourne & their 2 yr old girl & 7m old boy - they were all v.lovely, which was great - children played nicely & had yummy ice creams - yey!

Hope B isn't a PITA for you, SOKL!!

I am tiiiiiired. DD's 1 & 2 watching DVD, DD3 sleeping & DH making some pasta for tea.....

mammyjo · 17/06/2007 17:56

Evening! SOKL, hope B is ok when you get her back. Nice for the break but sometimes damn hard afterwards!!

Ellie, or maybe its norksonlegs! I sometimes feel like all I do is feed F but I dont get male comments too!!

CD, glad you have had a good day. Enjoy your pasta. It was me asking about expressing. Can I ask another dull question please. When defrosting the milk do you just put it in warm water. I have read conflicting advice about it and some have said defrost for 12 hours in the fridge so what am I supposed to do? Also, if I expressed say 1oz, could I add to it later the same day or does it have to be frozen separately? Thankyou for any advice!!

Elkie, hope Danny is ok. Men can be a total PITA. Mine is one generally at the moment. Hope you can smooth things over with dh. They just dont get it do they.

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 19:25

I get frozen EBM out of the freezer & pop it in the fridge til it thaws (usually 4/5 hrs ish) Feel a bit wary of sticking it straight into warm water..... It is fine to keep adding to a feed if it is within 24hrs - So you could keep expressing over a 24 hrs period til you have a full feed & then pop it in the freezer / fridge / give it straight to F. HTH. xx

elkiedee · 17/06/2007 19:30

Well, in the end we carried on bickering most of the afternoon, but I took up the planned lift to IKEA leaving baby with dp - store is only a couple of miles from us - and bought a bookcase (the main purpose of the expedition) with two extra shelves (they're quite wide apart and most of the books are quite small), a playgym for the little one (on my friend Julie's recommendation, a very plain lampshade, several dvd and cd boxes and some bookends.

When we got back Julie assured us both that Danny didn't seem feverish, just to take some clothes off him. She's the mother of two teenagers so she should know! And dp was v apologetic about earlier so the time apart had done us some good. He's now making tea while baby has his and I type one handed, so all's hopefully well again.

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 19:31

Good stuff Elkie - Told you the time out would do you both good!! Enjoy your tea!

mammyjo · 17/06/2007 19:49

Thanks for that CD. Very grateful for advice as I never got as far as expressing first time around.

Glad you and dh are ok now elkie. My dh and I are ok too, he is just like a jekel and hyde character lately though. Never know what each day will bring.

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 20:05

No worries!

Pesha · 17/06/2007 20:17

Thanks cd for expressing advice, ive not been bothering much lately cos during the day if im not feeding him im rushing round trying to get things done before he needs feeding again and then in the evening when he does sleep i just want to sit and do nothing having been nothing but a milk maker all day i dont really fancy doing more!! But have decided i need to to build up stocks for time out and to hopefully build up supply.

Can someone forward me ellies email from earlier as i have now cleared my inbox! suzanne.stevens2 @ virgin.net (no spaces) Thank you

Oh and lots more lovely pics, thanks.

Last night freezer door wasnt quite shut properly so everything half defrosted, shoved it in fridge as we had to go out so now have to go cook it all Last thing we needed.

day today. Collected dd from her dads, she cried lots. Then went to put flowers in memorial place for dp's dad, first time i've been as nearly 2 hours from us and dp is always torn about going. Very sad seeing his name written there, he died just few months before dp turned 3 aged 32. Was nice for us to go as a family though, well nice not the right word obviously but YKWIM i hope!

Pinions · 17/06/2007 20:38

Well I thought it about time that I made a bit of an appearance whilst T is pretending to sleep.

First of all thanks to all you guys sending the lovely pics.

Smole, octo, dippy.

Octo your boys are real stunners! They should be posing for Next or something x

Dippy great pictures and glad that you enjoyed your wedding, girls are gorgeous x

Smole glad to hear that things are improving for you and that you will be able to share news and experiences with your friend too. Jesse is a real cutey x

Ellie or is it Ellen? Thanks for the round up has brought me up to speed whereas without it I wouldn't stand a hope in hells chance!

No great excitement here, except that T is now approaching 15 lbs bit of a porker and that is just being breastfed.

Speaking of which would love to know who is still exclusively bf. I have now more or less given up trying to wean onto bottles. T tells me what to do on that one. Breast for him only I am afraid he will not no way no how entertain the idea of using a bottle much to my sheer bloody frustration!

Any tips welcome!

Nutty and lesley it is on my "jobs to do list" to organise some sort of meet up so love out I might just turn up on your doorstep sometime soon lol.

Ds1 now settling into his new nursery thankfully after about 8 weeks. Talk about testing times. today he decided to "roll" the baby up, face down in the bedding and to leave him there suffocating fgs. This is all in the time it took me to brush my hair in the bathroom.

I think I have had enough heart in my mouth moments to last a lifetime and am wondering when it will ever end.

And yes

I am still jogging......and swimming.......and doing aerobics..........and pilates exercises, and am now on a stict 1200 cal a day diet.

The weight has to go this time and for good. My pre-pregnancy jeans no longer fit me , not cos they are too small but cos they are now too big so something must be working. No more excuses.

....And i am gutted that "The Apprentice" is finished x

octo · 17/06/2007 20:44

Evening all - hope everyone had a better day.

sorry to hear about crap dhs - mine is watching golf again...

Must go - rice sticking to pan!

xxxxx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 20:51

Arse @ freezer door Pesha. Glad you were able to visit the Memorial Site - 32 is soooo young!! V. Does DP remember him at all??

Hello Pinions! Good to "see" you! I am still exclusively BF (DD 7 weeks tomorrow) - She has one bottle of EBM at 3pm each day, apart from that it is all boobies, boobies, boobies .....

I've had plenty of those "heart in mouth" moments from DD1 (DD2 is fine with P) ..... lots of "picking up and carrying" & "I was just wrapping her up to keep her warm" ...... Eeeeeek!!

octo · 17/06/2007 20:52

rightyho - have my curry now

have got myself ina right pickle today - went to friends for lunch - we are going camping on 7th July - they have never been before and has taken 2 years to convince them - but inadvertantly invited another family out of friendliness and they other friends said wanted to go with just us so have had to ring other family and say sorry - can't do it and re-arrange another date. Sounds all very childish I know - but dh wasn't happy about it either. was very embarassing

I have only tried expressing once and it was a disaster - trying to sell my breast pump to no avail though!

Right - dh wants to bid on stuff on ebay so must go again!

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 17/06/2007 20:53

V.embarassing, poor you & DH octo! Enjoy your curry!
