Not really here but NUTTY push the door first most of them "stick" and stay open then push pram in.

If not then go in backwards. If not that then grab anyone walking past (you will get used to doing this) and put on a crap voice and ask for help. No-one would ever refuse.

As I said not really here off swimming in a min.

And ps was it the Crown Point by any chance!!

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 19:31

Hi Pinions, no not crown point...have yet to face public transport . Was a little shop in Morley...that was only just wide enough for the pram!

octo · 18/06/2007 19:34

Quick hello - PTA meeting at 8pm - pedantic mn'ers have annoyed me - my ad to sell my nappies was in nappies rather than for sale and they deleted it after people complained - doesn't matter anyway as Nutty is having them! Have packaged them up - need to get to P.O - will email you when on the way!

Bramshott - I get my wipes from lollipop - if you email them at [email protected] or [email protected] they will tell you who your local advisor is - which could save you postage or order them direct. They are towelling squares and come in packs of ten - they are great. I have loads of them!

Must go to meeting - ds2 fell asleep earlier so dh is going to have his hands full [grn]

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 18/06/2007 19:35

Right - just popping in to say hello!

LOL @ MASSIVE pants, Luce!

Hello all

Can't remember anything sorry.

Just wanted to add that since I've stopped sleeping in the room with Izzy she has been sleeping much better...I think I was waking at the snuffling stage and now don't til the crying stage when she's properly awake.

Back later...crying baby!!

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 20:23

Cheers octo. DH paypaled you earlier today.

maveta · 18/06/2007 20:25

Octo - how weird?? There are often people advertising nappies for sale on the nappy board. How odd that people would complain?!

AngeG - interesting you should say that, N is going to be too big for his moses basket soon and we either have to move the cot (and it´s a cotbed so it´s big) into our room (and the chest of drawers OUT to make way) or he goes into his own room. But he´s only 7 weeks.. am not sure I could move him out yet. How are you all going with this?

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 20:31

Erin's still in our room, think she'll be out of moses basket soon too. We've got the cot in our room tho...and can't be arsed to move it into spare room so she'll be in ours for a while yet. I wouldn't be too worried about sleeping in another room tbh as long as it's not too far away.

eca · 18/06/2007 20:43

hey everyone

been manic here and so just popping in to say hello, but not got a lot more to add, nothing coherent anyway!!! Had guests for 3nights, more visitors after they left and more tomorrow for the next couple of days. All I do is feed people at the moment - baby/dh/guests - or clean up after them - sick/plates/cleaning etc etc!

For my friend's wedding we made apricot jam together! It's LURVELY but we had to do 7x the recipe, it made 50 jars!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness it was an easy recipe. Also, I'm being a bridesmaid for the wedding and we made progress on the dress!! I tried on a style in monsoon that made me look like a woman rather than a pregnant borrower (as in tiny person who wears baggy clothes!!) !!!

Hope you're all doing ok! Thanks for the updates ellie. And the photos going round are cute!!

AngeG · 18/06/2007 20:43

Maveta - I know how you feel, with Jake we moved him into his own room at about 4wks He'd only been out of hospital for a week but was such a noisy sleeper that I couldn't sleep at all.
I did and do have one of those movement monitors though and it gives me a bit more peace of mind...only had a couple of false alarms with Jake and they weren't til he was nearly 1.

eca · 18/06/2007 20:45

Hi nutty and maveta! T is still in our room in his basket. We're going to transfer him to the cot later this week. But will keep him in our room for a while yet.

eca · 18/06/2007 20:46

hi ange

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 20:51

Hi all.

Maveta, I am ashamed [almost] to say that K has been in her own room since she was 3 weeks, as no-one was sleeping properly. B was the same. We are quite close to her so hear if she cries out, which I am glad to say is not very often.

My view is (and I know it is each to their own), but it is easier to move them earlier so they get used to their own room. I think if you leave it too long, they are more aware of their surroundings and will find it more difficult to accept the change.

Nutty, I tend to go in backwards through doors, although luckily at the moment with the weather being good, most shops have their doors open .

Hope everyone is ok. x

AngeG · 18/06/2007 20:51

Hi Eca Good to see you

WestCountryLass · 18/06/2007 20:56

I took Leo to be weighed today and he is 12 weeks and 14lb 7oz, I am not sure whether that makes him big or small but he is long that's for sure. The HV said "he's got sticky eye" (no shit, Sherlock) and was giving me the 3rd degree on what I was doing about it but we were also getting DD weighed who was having none of it and called her a "poohead" which caused a diversion and I managed to get out of clinic relatively unscathed. Can't stand it when some random person grills you and offers advice you did not ask for when you have never even met them before - bugger off!!!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 20:58

WCL, pmsl at your dd calling the HV a poohead! Hilarious!

Hi ECA!!!

AngeG · 18/06/2007 20:59

Hi SOKL and WCL

I had Izzy weighed today too, she now weighs 10lbs exactly, she's 11 wks on wednesday.

AngeG · 18/06/2007 21:01

Sorry meant to add PMSL at you dd calling HV a poohead. Sounds just like the sorrt of thing J would do

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 21:02

Talking of HV's, K has her jabs tomorrow, and B has hers on Wednesday. What a fab week eh! Calpol will be the order of the day methinks! Think dh may need jabs as well - he got bitten by a dog on Sunday!!
Perhaps I should have some too???

WestCountryLass · 18/06/2007 21:07

I am a bit about the current phase she is going through but I do tell her off and I have started taking away the things she holds dear but she is 3, what can you do????

WestCountryLass · 18/06/2007 21:08

SOSKL, Leo has jabs tomorrow too, he was OK with the first set so i am hoping he will be this time too.

eca · 18/06/2007 21:09

hi SOKL! Sounds like you'll need the calpol!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 21:10

Thanks WCL. I am sure she will be ok, but I am dreading it. I hate needles myself and I remember sobbing when B had hers at the thought of her being in pain.

AngeG · 18/06/2007 21:10

WCL - I think it's a phase 3 yr olds go through. J is doing it as well at the moment...he thinks it's hilarious, I'm trying to ignore it as much as I can.
