Afternoon!

Have been lurking and catching up this morning... had a rubbish few days - woke up on Thursday feeling fluey and then noticed left boob very red on Thursday afternoon - went to the Dr on Friday, as suspected mastitis... but either wasn't very bad or antibiotics worked a treat as feeling much better now.

Also went into work on Friday to meet a couple of pals for coffee & took L - very bizarre, felt like a completely different person.

Long story I won't go into as will make me but dh also winding me up big time at the moment. What is it with men? Grrrrrr.

All the baby pics are gorgeous, managed to snap L smiling this morning so will email once I get a chance to upload onto pc. CD you looked gorgeous at the wedding! And all those amazing cakes - wow!

Katy - re the disposables question. On advice from my sister, I've been using the size that has an upper limit a couple of pounds heavier than Lucy, has worked well so far - haven't had any leaks, which I was getting with the smaller size. Hope that helps.

Right, off to try and get some lunch....

Have a good day all
xx

x-post - LOVE the new name House Guest!

Pesha · 18/06/2007 13:22

He wouldnt hve dared try to blame me the mood i was in with dd going to xp and him buggering off to cricket or he would have had no whites!! He told everyone at cricket that nathan had put a felt tip in the machine

mammyjo · 18/06/2007 13:29

Lol at cricket bluey greys!! My dh also can only put his own stuff into the washing machine. I will see the machine on and ask if he picked up the other stuff out of the washing basket. I will normally get "oh no I forgot". Just as well I dont forget all the time too!

Katy44 · 18/06/2007 13:31

thanks everyone, will get the next size up - glad I read this before I bought a pack of 48!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 13:33

Pesha, pmsl at the washing fiasco! Can't believe he blamed N!

Dh doesn't know how to work our washing machine, which may be a blessing in disguise!

Another thing that annoys me is the fact that he puts all the cutlery in one part of the cutlery basket ie the one nearest him, and I have to keep re-arranging it all, otherwise stuff won't get washed properly. Grrrrrrrr

And sex???? None of that here, although getting pats on the bum and lots of double entendres!

mammyjo · 18/06/2007 13:33

Hi bumble! Good to hear you are ok and glad the mastitis cleared up quickly. Agree with what you say about feeling like a different person. I remember when ds was tiny and trying to meet up with friends. I actually felt really detached from them for a while (not any more I hasten to add). It really surprised me how much my life changed. Knew it would but didnt bargain for just how much!!

mammyjo · 18/06/2007 13:37

What is sex???? My nethers have turned into a barren wasteland. Think my dh knows better than to ask! My bed is definitely for sleeping lately!

Bramshott · 18/06/2007 14:01

How many posts ladies?!?

My brain power (and Orla's patience!) has all been used up in catching up!

Maveta - fwiw I feed O when she wakes me with her snuffling - figuring that I am awake then anyway so I might as well get on with it. Am fully expecting that she will amaze me by sleeping really well when she goes into her own room in a couple of weeks time and then I won't hear her till she cries.

Was it Saturday night that the other babies slept well?!? I woke up on Sunday morning at 8.30 to the realisation that both my daughters were still sleeping ! Definitely a one off though!

Umm, brain full, but just wanted to say hi! back later I hope.

Ellie, i thought you were CD at first, der, great name though

Bramshott · 18/06/2007 14:34

Still trying to get up and running with my systems for washable nappies - Octo (or other washable wipes users) - where did you get your wipes, or did you make your own??

mammyjo · 18/06/2007 14:41

Luce, PMSL at massive pants!!
No danger of falling trousers here, rather generous backside in place to hold them up!!

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 15:16

Luce PMSL!!!

Bramshott - I don't use washable wipes myself but you can make them from fleece blankets. Ikea sell some for £1.30 ish (I got one to put on the sofa for Erin to lie on). You just cut it to size.

Have been into town for walk...it takes 20 mins each way, uphill on the way there. I was bloody knackered. Then got cash, popped to supermarket for some salad stuff and then to photo shop to drop disposable camera off.

Ok all you experienced pram pushers...how do I get through a door with the pram? The one at the photo shop was heavy and I couldn't reach with the pram in front of me so tried to do it backwards and struggled. Luckily a kind passer by helped me but I was v

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 16:31

Luce, tears of laughter at your massive pants!!

maveta · 18/06/2007 16:33

bramshott - i use an ikea blanket like nutty said. I even use reusable wipes when out and about.

Lol at the sex talk (or lack of..), we've been back in the groove for a few weeks now.. the desire is most definitely there, all that's missing is the time and energy

N has been 3 days without a poo and at lunch he let it all loose while sat on me, was dripping down his leg and all over my tummy before I even noticed. Cue our first shower together! [eeuuuuwww]

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 16:39

Aw Maveta LOL @ poo!

geordiemacminx · 18/06/2007 17:04

Nutty - I emailed you re the liverpool baby gro - well I think it was you I emailed

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 18:21

Oh yes I did get it thanks!

mammyjo · 18/06/2007 18:49

Maveta, lol at the poo!!

Nutty, with prams in doorways you just get used to not being ! If you are lucky a kind person will give you a hand, if not you just learn to manage. I find the backwards push through those sort of doors works quite well most of the time. To be honest you just get to the point where you couldnt care less what people think! Same goes for screaming child/baby in public. Initially you want the ground to swallow you whole, but over time you develop the ability to switch off to it!

nuttygirl · 18/06/2007 18:55

Thanks Mammyjo, think I was so cos I thought it was just me IYSWIM!!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 18/06/2007 19:03

Maveta, pmsl at the poo episode! Hope you both cleaned up ok!!
