Ruth grumbling in her bumbo. Just about to feed her when L says 'wee, wee!'. Go to potty and realise I have left it upstairs!

Run upstairs with L, and as I leave the room, Ruth starts to cry properly. Trying to rush L without rushing him iykwim then suddenly hear Ruth has stopped crying. Start to take my time, come downstairs and R has fallen asleep in her bumbo!! Poor love.

Looked really uncomfortable.

They are all getting to be nosy so and sos are'nt they. R fights daytime sleep too and has just fallen asleep while feeding her.

Got prep class for R christening tonight. Last week we talked about why you are getting lo chritened. One bloke volunteered that he was not catholic and it didnt bother him, just his DW and MIL making him! and another said it was to get them into the catholic school! Realise that most people do it for those reasons but just couldnt believe they said it to the poor woman trying to 'prepare' us. She didnt really know what to say!

Dragonhart · 19/06/2007 16:09

Have fun Trixy!

vinorouge · 19/06/2007 16:23

I was just feeding ellen and she kicked the laptop which brought up a list oif MN abbreviations! No idea how she did it but I learnt a lot.

Had my friend and her twins over today - was horrified that after crawling round my kitchen and lounge their white socks were almost black. I'd cleaned the floor before they came!!

eandh · 19/06/2007 17:38

UD/Wilkie - you know I'd come over and clean if I could am seriously considering whether doing cleaning/ironing may be better when the girls are at school as I'll be able to swap work around to hours they are at school its an ongoing thought.
Wilkie - gave e weetabix/ready brek from 6 months and you can use full fat cows milk in cooking a well
Lizz glad you're back hurrah
Trixy have a lovely holiday
Dragon - at ruth in her bumbo- I think I would have been bad mummy and got the camera out
Talking of work earlier in post I popped in today to ask if I could have my 2nd day back at work off as annual leave as its Ellies first sports day and shes in 'white' team (lots of wearing white on the 6th july please) I had 6 different bits of paper from school re trips/fees/nits/sports day/bingo night etc will have to get school folder I think. Anyway back to work story, my boss said yes and laughed at me begging. Had a big surprise as although I work in a bank we've never had a uniform but we are getting one there was so much choice 2 types of jacket,2types of trousers, 1 skirt, pink or lime green shirts (long or short sleeves) scarves and jersey tops, suits are charcol grey. With my allocation I have ordered 2 pairs of bootcut trousers (the shorten them to my length as well a short jacket, 1 green,1pink shirt and scarves and 1 jersey top am v.excited I wont have to spend my money on suits anymore. |Glad I am not having any more kids maternity uniform looked tres dodgy.

i'm coming on the meet up too eandh!

some utter utter bastard has stolen my compost bin. i am actually in tears. am so sick of living where we do...

smallone · 19/06/2007 18:36

Just gone to my "threads I'm on" page to navigate my way here and it said no messages! Doesn't time fly - don't know what I've been doing with myself!

Urban - I am and on your behalf at the compost theivery! Isn't it weird what people will steal? More to the point did no-one notice someone making off down the road with a bloody huge bin?

Wilkie · 19/06/2007 19:55

Hello all. Been a lovely day here both weatherwise and doing things-wise.

Been to Debenhams (their preview sale starts Weds 4pm and all day Thurs for info), Mothercare (got J's highchair), then out to do the weekly shop at Asda, cleaned the kitchen, made a fruit salad, done one load of washing

UD - how irritating?? Like Smallone said, how the hell did they 'sneak' your bin away?!?!?!?!

EAH - great news about the uniform. I hate having to buy work clothes and I need a whole new wardrobe as my old pre-pregnancy ones are well out of date now

Namechanges are tres confusing I must say.

Thanks for info on the weetabix/readybrek. It costs me a frigging fortune ATM.

How do you know how much food to feed your LO? J had for lunch - 5 cubes of carrot and pea, 3 cubes of apple and raisen, a small pot of Danone yoghurt, then a quarter of a rusk to suck on. He would have munched more had I let him - do you think it is possible to overfeed? I'm wondering if it is a growth spurt or a catch up from being poorly and not eating?!?!?!?!

eandh · 19/06/2007 20:11

Hattie has about 12-15 of her spoons of breakfast, lunch varies as she doesnt really have it (occasionally some fruit puree) dinner she has a huuuuge bowl and eats it all plus yoghurt then stares at ellies. I am going on the notion that she has enough as not crying etc but she is very very interested in food (mmmmmm now who does she take after) and also I dont think they always have a 'full up' button so would continue to eat then be ill.

Right need to wash floors as we have half the sandpit in the house

Wilkie · 19/06/2007 20:30

TBH I don't do lunch for J. He has:

7.30am powdered breakfast with 4oz milk mixed in
11.30am 6oz bottle
3pm lunch (no milk), savoury puree, fruit puree, juice and maybe rusk
6pm 7oz bottle
10.30pm 6oz bottle

That equates to 23oz milk per day. I daren't give him food at the 11.30am feed though as I know he won't take his bottle. How the hell am I supposed to get him on three meals per day??? [panicked first-time mother emoticon]

Sorry for being so dull....

eandh · 19/06/2007 20:37

Wpuldnt worry about 3 meals till they are ready to drop a feed (think e dropped her mid morning bottle around 6/7months so then I started doing lunch)

Hattie does

6.30am ish 5oz milk
8am ish breakfast powdered mixed 3oz milk
10ish 5oz milk
2pm 5oz milk
4.30pm dinner and yoghurt
6pm milk 6oz
very occasionally 5oz milk around 9pm if shes been lazy with the 6pm bottle

So my theory goes she is gradually drinking less of the 10am milk then we'll drop it and start doing lunch iirc mid afternoon bottle went around 9/10months so then she just had 2 bottles morning and night time but 3 meals with lots of dairy ie cheese sauce/yoghurts etc etc

eandh · 19/06/2007 20:53

oooooo forgot to say am having a lovely morning at hairdressers tomorrow having cut and colour (am going blonder for the summer!) I cant wait

RGee · 20/06/2007 07:43

Enjoy your hair cut EaH.

Anyone else kept awake by the biggest thunderstorms ever last night? Vino - are you flooded again after all that rain?

Wilkie · 20/06/2007 08:04

Morning.

RGee - it absolutely poured down last night with thunder and lightening here too. Was quite spectacular but then again I LOVE thunderstorms - DH had to restrain me from going and standing in the rain

I am dreading today. Have no plans at all. Can't go into town again, already done Asda shop and BF is seeing another friend (how dare she ). Anyone fancy a trip to Lincoln??????????

J has decided that 4am is an excellent time to wake up . ALthough this morning at 6.50am when I deigned to get up with him, his nappy was full of poo and wee so maybe that is what woke him [bad mother emoticon]

EAH - enjoy you haircut and make sure you post piccies. I have had mine cut into an inverted bob and absolutely love it.

Has anyone else' body shape totally changed after having LO? My size 10 shorts are hanging off me now but I weigh half a stone heavier than before pregnancy?? What is that about? I still feel big too, like I am carrying more weight but not sure quite where it all is. I don't look mega skinny or anything, I look like someone that has had a baby but my sizes are all to pot

I am on a mission to be good for the next months as it is one of my BFs weddings on 21st July and I want to look good for it.

Lizzzombie · 20/06/2007 08:07

Hi, I can make August 15th no worries. Where abouts are we meeting up? I cant find anything written about a place on the thread.
LTH - If you cant make it to London, I could always meet you in Eastbourne somewhere on the 16th August and fill you in on what everyone is like in RL!
UD - sorry to hear about your bin.
E&H - cool about the free clothes! I start back on Saturday and get a free bra. Am dreading finding out what my size is these days though
RGEE - what are you baking today? My no baking diet is going really well. Yesterday I brought a belgian bun on the way home from the baby group. Am off to baby nursery ryhme session at the library later, hmm, have to walk past a couple of bakeries on the way...oink! [fat bum emotion]

Lizzzombie · 20/06/2007 08:10

Wilkie - Yes my body shape has changed since having the baby.

  1. Boobs are saggy
  2. Arse is slightly larger
  3. Have BIG love handles/muffin top
  4. Have a jelly belly
  5. Hair is falling out

Its fab. I feel great.
Did anyone else see Trinny & Sussannah last night? It was so sad.

JodieG1 · 20/06/2007 08:15

Morning all. We're all doing well, dd is recovering well and only Ethan has a small cold. Had a call from dd's teacher yesterday and they've done a risk assesment for her as she has to avoid sand and any water that could have bugs in for another 5 weeks or risk infection which can lead to loss of vision so I'll be popping in to have a look at that before she goes back. Was very nice to hear from her though.

Hoping to get to Debenhams later on without the kids as my parents will be here.

Nice and sunny here today and I didn't hear any storms in the night, we did have some about 7pm though.

Have to go as Ethan is getting growly which means he's tired lol.

Wilkie · 20/06/2007 08:20

Lizz - bra question for you. On your advice I went and tried on a 32DD which fitted really well on the cups but I felt it looked a little tight around the band - I had little rolls of flesh underneath. I had it on the middle hook. What would an alternative size be to try???

Wilkie · 20/06/2007 08:24

Jodie - J has a slight cold too. Every time he has been rolling around on his mat I lift him up and he has snot and bogies smeared across his cheeks - beeeaaaoootiful

Wilkie · 20/06/2007 08:28

Uploaded pics of J's new girlfriend (my cousin's little girl). Can you tell I'm bored and it's only 8.29am

Lizzzombie · 20/06/2007 12:32

Wilks. A 32 DD = a 34 D. BUT...ALWAYS PUT A NEW BRA ONTO THE LOOSEST NOTCH. Plus, they are supposed to be tight. Thats what keeps your tits up. And as for rolls of flab (or Italian Breast as the correct term is) everyone has that & would you rather have your boobs sag and make you look fatter than you are or have your skin roll a bit at the back...which you cant see anyway.

  • sorry if I sound harsh - have gone into bra nazi mode! x
NotAsThunkAsDreoplePink · 20/06/2007 15:16

IsItPimmsOClock - yes
Lizzz - welcome home! Hope the cleaning is all done now. Good luck with work, it's come round so fast. PMSL at your bra nazism!!
Have a great holiday Trixy, hope the VW lasts
UD - stolen your compost bin???
Jodie - glad dd is recovering well

No news here. Was pissing down this am, now sunny. lalala am so boring!

theUrbanDryad · 20/06/2007 15:24

2Happy/NotAsWhatever.....i tried to MSN you earlier to ask how Looshkin is?

i've put new pics on my profile if anyone cares...

Wilkie · 20/06/2007 15:38

2Happy - please change your name back. You will always be 2happy

UD - fab photos - he is a little cutie. He looks like he has done something naughty and put on his best, most-innocent face - 'What??? I didn't do anything! Honest...'

Lizz - you are scary!! Have ordered two 32DD bras from Next.

I am so frigging bored it's untrue. I even popped in for a cuppa with the elderly neighbours just for some adult company.

J is on his sixth poo of the day. WTF is that all about?!?!?!?! Only thing I can think is that the apple and raisen compote I gave him has made him a bit slack??? It's not diahorrea (sp?) though.

My house is a tip, I really really need to tidy but cannot be arsed.
Where is everyone today? It's been very quiet on the thread.

theUrbanDryad · 20/06/2007 15:48

i'm on msn if you fancy a chat Wilks?
