will go check my emails

I'm not much of a joiner either but am going to make an effort.

I once went on a stag night with a load of blokes never met before and a blow up shark around Southsea when was at Uni in Portsmouth - was supposed to be working in a pub but they didn;t need me so the stag lot invited me out! Got VERY drunk indeed! Can't remember much else - but didn;t shag anyone!

ellenkpa · 20/05/2007 22:05

i don't know any of them either

not sure if i'm gonna drink, have enough EBM to get thru the night and for it to leave my system, but might want to be driving in case i need to get home urgently

but i do have an empty house

Awww, poor DH - he just opened his cards & presents - He got a Robot Pencil Sharpener & some Teabags ... Poor thing. Hopefully he'll enjoy his day out with his girlies tomorrow & we'll have a lovely evening out tomorrow night ..... Bless him - he is being v.stoic about it!!

Blah - everything I was going to say just went out of my head ....

DD2's Party was great - v.chilled & fun. Not many people actually turned up, which was fine by me - just a select bunch of lovely friends. We enjoyed playing in the garden and chatting and we played Pass-the-Parcel and ate our picnics and had cake. It was really nice. Just opened DD's presents (I know that sounds v.mean; but if you knew my girls, you would understand - Two words: "Bitch" "Fight"!!!! )

Mmmmmmmm ....

Glad you survived your mum Ellie!

DD2's most random present was a snorkel & flipper set from ELC - WTF!!!!!!? (She was two today....)

Hoep you've all had nice weekends guys!

Sorry to hear about Eddas' cat, I would be distraught if anything happened to my furriest little ones (2 9 year old cats).

Danny and I have been out of hospital on "home leave" since 12.30 Saturday but have to return tomorrow morning, his room is being kept open for him please cross your fingers for me that all is well and we get let out again, no more overnight stays needed.

The hospital was very good to us, but the last couple of days began to stretch my nerves to breaking point, being home is not easy but at least I'm not being observed and assessed critically all the time. My aunt Anna, who hasn't met Danny yet, kindly phoned offering a lift to the hospital, and one home whenever that happens (ie with baby).

Sorry to hear others are finding things difficult too, I have a breast pump and am hoping to get back to breast feeding but at the moment we're just trying to chuck formula milk down our baby at regular intervals to avoid returning to the problems that led to our hospital admission from 11-19 May. Also, at least here I'm not alone at night which is much tougher even than daytimes once Mike returns to work (after May bank holiday).

mammyjo · 21/05/2007 07:49

Morning all. Another really good night here. F slept from 10.30 til 6.30am!
Hope all well, will catch up on reading the thread later xxx

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 21/05/2007 08:10

Great stuff mammyjo!

Hoping today's appt goes ok Elkie - Thinking of you & Danny & praying for positive stuff ...... Do update later on ......

Thank you for posting the message to Octo, Ellie - I would have completely forgetten about the Bumbles otherwise .....

It is DH's Birthday today, bless him - He's currently tuckled up in bed with Phoebe, they look so sweet. Other girlies are still sleeping!!!!!!! Unfortunately, that means they are most probably ill. Bugger.

maveta · 21/05/2007 08:18

morning! octo sorry about your friend, how awful

N slept from 10pm til 5am!!!! was it something in the air mammyjo?! so lovely! then slept again 6-8am...so i feel really refreshed today..more nights like that would be great!

Ellie ...grrr at your friend, ddh was chatting to his mate the other day and just saying yeah it´s great etc. but also hard work and his mate says ´well you really should have thought about that before you had kids´!! WTF??! This was his BEST mate, yeah, we did know it would be hard work but you can still only be so prepared..moron. He´s just pissed because dh doesn´t want to play (music, not play like in the garden LOL) with them at the moment..

Dh being huffy. Asked him to make an appt asap at the doctor´s to get more thrush medicine for N and to see about the tongue tie again as I am sure that is what is causing me so much pain DURING the feed (whereas the thrush hurts afterwards, oh joy). So I get out the shower and he says, you´ve got an appt for tomorrow at 10.40am, you could have had one for this morning but i told them no. ?? Why? Why would you say no?? Because of my overwhelmingly busy social diary?? And now I can´t go to my (long anticipated and long awaited) waxing appt tomorrow. Now he´s huffy because he said he thought I´d be pleased.. sigh.

Thanks for the lovely supportive comments about bf-ing problems. I don´t always feel so positive but at the moment I am very much taking it like there is no alternative so best to just get on with it. Cd, am not sure if they have bf counsellors here but I do have a number for LLL so I might call them and ask.

geordiemacminx · 21/05/2007 09:58

morning katy!

oooggs · 21/05/2007 10:02

good to see you back gmm - hows it going??

geordiemacminx · 21/05/2007 10:04

hey ogggs

its going great, after ab 14 hour labour then emergency c-sec life is back to normal. Charlie is feeding and sleeping like a little star, and i'm recovering for op, tummy looks like it could do nwith a bloody good iron though!!!!

hows you and the twins?

Katy44 · 21/05/2007 10:07

morning gmm, how are you?
T keeps being sick and filling his (leaky) nappies with explosive poos
and not sleeping again - going to be a fun day he's so cute though!

Katy44 · 21/05/2007 10:07

took so long to write it youy'd answered my question!

oooggs · 21/05/2007 10:10

dt's are good ds1 is a nightmare

14 hours & emergency c-section - don't do it by half do you

Glad Charlie behaving himself, as for the tummy - mine is a mess, have lost 4.5 stone but when pinched it stretches out 3 inches needs a bit of work. Not having time to eat is a start

geordiemacminx · 21/05/2007 10:18

Katy -I find that C's nappies leak sometimes too - especially if I dont make sure he is "arranged" properly..

Labour sounds a lot worse than it actualy was to be honest- I really cant remeber that much about it... that might have been the morphine and the epidural me thinks...I had C at 1pm on Friday, was out of hospital at 7pm on Saturday, was in Starbucks on the sunday...

I had my mp3 player with speakers plugged in - most random moment was being examined... only for Johnny Cash ring of fire to come on.... I nearly pissed myself..

ALthough he is a great baby, I really cant imagine having to look after him AND a toddler.. never mind twins and a toddler!!!

I know what you mean Katy - he was lying on my chest earlier looking up at me and you could just see the love in his eyes.. or maybe that was just wind

oooggs · 21/05/2007 10:21

gmm - I wouldn't recommend it or change it for the world, if thats makes sense

Eddas · 21/05/2007 10:24

GMM PMSL at ring of fire I tell you what that's pretty acurate for giving birth
