Glad to hear how others are getting on, hope everyone else is surviving.
I'm shattered too, Danny just waking up, Mikey and I have both had an accidental snooze since getting home. Lots of running around today.
Breastfeeding dropin session this morning seemed great, very friendly and informal, and I was advised that I might find it hard to get enough breastmilk on its own but still possible, to express at night, but that it was open to me anyway even if I don't manage to maintain bfing. Also another local group at another local venue on Monday mornings, but I'm looking forward to next Thursday.
Then rushed home where my visiting mum had kindly put out stuff for a sandwichy lunch, much easier with baby than eating cold food which should be hot food. Set off for our first bus journey with a very bulky pram to the Whittington's outpatients clinic (probably 3 miles or so), went remarkably well in the sense that we had no other buggies trying to board, and people who might have needed our seats more than us generally were able to find others. Within next 2 weeks I'm likely to have to do this without dp's help to get to places beyond walking distance.
Hospital appt fine, consultant happy, Danny's put on about 8 oz, taking him to about 8lb (was 7lb 7 at birth and still less than this 3 days ago). Everything else showed up very positively, we were shown lots of charts which I don't understand, but it's good news.
Walked about 30 mins from hospital towards home, met up with my dad for planned stop off en route at a cafe, then got a bus home. Another pram already on bus, and Mike gave up and got off bus with pram a mile from home, I stayed on and only reached house about 5 mins before Mike. So, we're likely to get lots of exercise until baby is big enough for a more portable pushchair!
