Ah thanks @Zampa, I just came on to wish the same!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother’s Day, I feel so incredibly lucky to be celebrating this day today xx

lydiangel83 · 11/03/2018 13:31

Happy Mother's Day all! My first and I am loving it :)

DuRezidal · 11/03/2018 14:11

Happy Mother's Day everyone...

We are now a week into the gradual weaning of J, but he literally just has baby rice at supper time and he absolutely loves it. He gets annoyed if it doesn't come quickly enough. Also, since starting him on it his sleep patterns have improved again so he is going to sleep at 7pm and then waking at 5.30 - 6am so seems more settled. It makes it easier working too after a full nights sleep. Unfortunately this will be my last week of sleep as foal watch will start next Monday so it's 2 hourly checks through the night.

lydiangel83 · 11/03/2018 17:00

Hi @DuRezidal that's interesting - is it his last feed before bed then or do you still do night time bottle? We will start L on rice this week I think. Having bad nights I am shattered. Hoping weaning will help reflux too x

DuRezidal · 11/03/2018 17:52

@lydiangel83 he has a bottle, then bath, then I make a smaller bottle up that I use for his baby rice and then he finishes the bottle after it.

My darling daughter pooed through two sets of clothes today, whilst out and we had to buy her a new set! She also pooed on me, leading to a new top! I deserve my Mother's Day presents!

Hope you all had lovely days.

Hope everyone had a lovely mothers day :)

How many have you got in foal @durezidal?

DuRezidal · 12/03/2018 06:50

@Zampa that sounds like a small nightmare!

We only have 4 this year @butterybollocks , but one is a mare we haven't foaled down before which is always a bit nerve wracking.

Motherhippy16 · 12/03/2018 10:19

Hi everyone.... I haven't had time to read through but will do later... any tips on settling routine for nap times? Ds has started to sleep for 4-6 hours at night since we have introduced a routine from 7pm however his day naps are all over the place and he never sleeps for more than 40 mins. He barely has 3/4 naps a day unless it's on us and struggles to self settle in the cot. Any tips? Much love to all x

Motherhippy16 · 12/03/2018 10:40

And happy mothers day for yesterday.... I hope you all had wonderful days x

lydiangel83 · 12/03/2018 19:56

Hey all random question... I am having some of my new mum friends over on Tuesday as a two of them are getting married in next few wks and we wanted to play a few hen type games with them as a surprise. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas!? I already have the toilet paper wedding dress game but struggling for one or two more games that we can do during the day with babies there! Xx

lydiangel83 · 12/03/2018 19:59

No tips sorry @Motherhippy16 I have same issue :-/

lydiangel83 · 12/03/2018 20:00

@DuRezidal sorry if being silly but do u give baby rice in a bottle?

DuRezidal · 12/03/2018 20:29

@lydiangel83 no I make it into a porridge type consistency and he gets it off a spoon. He absolutely loves it!

theotherendofthesockportal · 12/03/2018 21:48

@Motherhippy16 Bea is 5 months old tomorrow and I'm still dealing with 38 minute naps, yes I timed them! I've read that it supposed to change a 6 months.

@lydiangel83 are you able to ask the husbands to be a few questions e.g favourite food, bra size and do a his and hers quiz?

lydiangel83 · 13/03/2018 07:39

@theotherendofthesockportal we don't really know the other halves so cant do that easily

@DuRezidal that sounds good!

We have been up hourly last few nights with screaming, something definitely not right - wish she could tell me what's wrong it's awful and I'm starting to think it's more than bad reflux :(

Topsyloulou · 13/03/2018 10:44

@lydiangel83 it could be teething. My DS got his first two teeth at 5.5 months so the timing could be right. Is she very dribbly & putting things in her mouth? Can you feel anything under the gums? If it is teething I can highly recommend anbesol, it really helped my DS & is easy to apply. I think it's behind the counter in boots etc.

lydiangel83 · 13/03/2018 11:47

@Topsyloulou she is definitely teething but her whole body goes rigid in pain - is this normal? She has had silent reflux for months so hard to know what cause of pain is :(

butterybollocks · 13/03/2018 13:41

@lydiangel83 you must be exhausted. Have you tried a bit of calpol in case it's teething pain and/or she's feeling under the weather? Have you started on baby rice yet? Is she having any settled periods in the night? I was reading an article the other day about the times they wake and what that means is waking them. Hopefully it is just something like teething and it'll get better in the next few days. In the meantime lots of tea and biscuits for you Flowers

lydiangel83 · 13/03/2018 20:30

Thanks @butterybollocks just when you think it can't get worse I took her to doctors today and they listened to her heart and found a heart murmur. They said it's common so I'm actually not so worried about that as I am about the reflux / tummy issues. I just sense there is more going on than just acid reflux.

Motherhippy16 · 14/03/2018 10:21

Lydia I completely understand.... e has reflux and really bad trapped wind so it's so hard to know what is wrong... he has also started the dribbling etc so his teeth are coming down I think. Managed to get him down for his second nap this morning but both have been on me as I just want him to sleep atm! I used Calpol last night in a last attempt to help him. I'll try that topsyloulou x I've also cut out certain things from my diet to try to help! X

Motherhippy16 · 14/03/2018 10:22

@lydiangel83 sorry about the murmer... I'm sure everything will be ok. My brother had one when he was born and it healed itself soon after x x x x

theotherendofthesockportal · 14/03/2018 11:15

@lydiangel83 sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. You are doing the right thing by get Liliana checked out - hopefully they will have answers for you soon 💐

Zampa · 14/03/2018 15:24

@lydiangel83 I have a heart murmur and when I went to see a specialist, he said that a huge number of people have one. I was told to be careful pushing Land Rovers out of mud but I was ok with Minis! Hopefully, L's will be nothing to worry about.
