Oh and Nemo beats me by miles Wilkie. 13 months between hers plus an extra one (I think thats right Nemo?)

hattie2 · 08/05/2007 11:40

dh - Yes,I'm afraid you will have to dismantle it to put the den on later as the poles round the bottom of the platform thread through the bottom of the den IYSWIM? But once you've done it once or twice it's easy

Thankyou for the admiration Wilkie, it is an empressive erection if I say so myself (oo-er missus). £9 for all those nappies , why isn't there an Asda near me?

EAH - how was ellie this morning?

Wilkie · 08/05/2007 14:00

LL - just noticed I put swimming earlier - you know I meant spinning!

Just had my uncle round with his granddaughter which was lovely but she tried to give Jacob her plastic doll and smacked him on the head with it. Just noticed he has a red bump on his forehead! Bless him.

canmummy · 08/05/2007 14:25

Just looked out of the window and can see blue sky at last! Now what's the betting it'll start to chuck it down again in half an hour when I have to leave to do the school run?

Wilkie - poor little thing! They take some battering when there's an older one around don't they? I've had to send dd1 to school today with 2 black eyes as the bruise from a bump on the head seems to have spread down that way . Thank goodness she bumped her head at school so I know they can't point the finger at me!

Really must get off here now and unload my shopping from the car

RGee · 08/05/2007 15:55

Afternoon.
Wilkie, I don't put anything about myself because I'm sooo boring / repetitive. Ok, my day today was pretty standard and went something like:
6.45 - 8am: Up, DH goes to work, feed lo, get dressed, breakfast whilst playing with lo.
8 - 9.30am: lo down to sleep, clear up, sterilise bottles, load washing / dishwasher, clean kitchen, catch up on MN
9.30 - 11am: dress / feed / play with lo, radio 2 on for popmaster quiz.
11 - 12: lo down to sleep, glance at MN, continue sorting mountain of photos (nearly there now!!)
12 - 1: lo in chair watching me make and eat sandwich / sort more washing whilst she gets a running commentary, feed lo
1 - 2: short walk as weather rubbish
2 - 3.30: feed / change / play with lo
Now down for a nap. Hence here. Will shortly disappear to finish my last photo album. It's taken me about 3 weeks but I've sorted so many photos and done 17 albums. Phew. Next 'big' task is to sort out all my clothes and bin/recycle those that don't fit any more, then the task planned after that is to start on revamping our works website.
Continuing on with my standard day, it will go summat like:
between 3.30 - 5: DH will come back and take over lo duties. I will make us a cuppa, sort out lo's bottles, put Deal or No Deal on tv, and the two of us will play with lo.
5 - 6.45: wind down for lo bed. Feed / change / sometimes bath (usually with me) / stories / cuddles.
So there. That is my life. So unless you hear otherwise, that'll be what I'm doing . I am a very efficient woman of routine! Hence a bit dull
But I am not averse to a bit of flexibility so tomorrow, I am hoping to have Vino over and heaad down to the park.
Hope you enjoyed my long ramblings instead of personals
Catch up with you later!

Lizzzombie · 08/05/2007 16:05

Hi all.
Laughalot - are you mad?! Cant believe you went spinning. Its impossible. I cant even do it when not in a class, let alone do it to music, with exercises! well done!
UD - I'm def coming on the 19th. With a couple of friends too.

Dylan rolled onto his tummy 3 times this morning, in a row. And is going for the burn (like Laughalot!) at the moment trying to do it again. Can I ask though...is this the start of having to get up all night when he flips himself over in his cot and gets stuck?!

Lizzzombie · 08/05/2007 16:07

Happy Birthday PCF!
Are you off out tonight or tomorrow (down the dogs?!) still or has it been postponed? x

Lizzzombie · 08/05/2007 16:10

Also - UD, did you put arm bands on Z when you went swimming? Or did you just hold him?

ellieandhattie · 08/05/2007 16:21

Hello all, well a BIG improvement at scool today, dropped her off crying gave her to keyworker said bye and left (cruel mummy) went back at 10.30 as agreed and whilst there had been tears not half a smany as last week and she was doing painting when I got there so I was invited in.

She got tearful seeing me but wanted to stay so I said she could but would have to do what the teachers said, had a few moments of wanting me so I would sit at that end of the room but try not to get too involved, after 15 minutes she was joining in sat on the mat for register/what is today time and when it was story time didnt want me but sat with another Ellie who was a bit sad (her 2nd session). Their topic this half term is bugs and this week is Butterflies and she joined in petending to be a caterpillar and slid on her tummy to find some paper leaves and 'grew' into a butterfly and put her wings on that she had painted this morning so on thursday we are doing the same thing I drop her off but will go back at 10.45 and stay for rest of session then we'll make it a bit later next week. The only thing I have backed down on is her dummy I had got rid of it competley in the day and she only has it for bed.

However because when she gets upset she doesnt want the keyworkers to comfort her I have agreed to put her dummy in her bag and they will only let her have it if she is really really upset as that seems to have been the key thing to today working and hopefully in a few weeks she wont need to have it. I am so glad we stayed as the more shes there the more she'll understand whats happening.

The brownies turned out fab we have 14 and just boxed them up.

Laughalot Next stuff arrived and its even more fabthan in the brochure the curtains and curtain pole actually have sequins on the butterfly wings

theUrbanDryad · 08/05/2007 18:01

hi everyone! well i bought some new jeans today as my old ones were offically knackered and i can't be arsed patching them again and i fit in a size 14 again!! woo hoo! i got some new tops as well and i have to say New Look are fab for easy get-yer-tits-out tops! although according to dh i now look like an emo. except i heard him wrong and thought he said emu and got really confused!

Lizzz - it's fab that you're coming on the 19th. i sent off the forms for permission today so hopefully will hear something by the end of the week. i've written the press releases too, and will have a happy evening stuffing envelopes tonight. joy! btw - the first time we took Z swimming we just held him, the 2nd time he had one of these which he absolutely loved!!

we enjoyed our sailing yesterday - dh now wants to join the club but it is very expensive. i'm trying to convince him to go for a crewing position but he wants to helm. we shall see!

anyway, must go. Zac is quite whingey and i think it is bath/bedtime!!

RGee · 08/05/2007 18:47

EAH - I hope you boxed up the brownies ready to send out to us all

ellieandhattie · 08/05/2007 20:52

Right we have had an exciting evening, DH got home from work at 5pm left his bike by the front door as normal (his 30th birthday present from me cost over £300 and he uses it every day for work) bought his bag in said hello me me,e and h and Ellie wanted to show him her brownies. Five minutes later he went out and the bike as gone, dh went storming around the estate looking and went to the park, he saw some local lads (neighbours grandsons) and asked them but they didnt know anyting. Couple of mins later one boy knocked on our door and said he didnt want to be a grass in front of his mates but he'd seen someone on a bike and he knew it wasnt his and gave us his name and address.

DH and neighbour went and knocked on the door (house was 2 mins away from us) and when dh asked if x lived there they said 'oh no whats he done now' DH said that he'd taken his bike (at this point another person on the estate had knocked on our door to say her son had told her that this boy had been bragging about knicking a bike) DH said they were mortified and really angry DH said to parents if he got his bike back undamaged we wouldnt contact the police, however, I had phoned them already. Less than an hour later parents turned with bike and boy in tow made him apologise and when he didnt look at us the Mum made him look dh in the eye and say sorry and ordered him back in the car. They were so embarrased and kept apologising and saying any damage kock on the door and he'd pay for it. I told them I'd phone the police and cancel the call (had told the police we had his name and address) but a police car was on route, when police got here they said he was known to them but this was the 1st time he'd actually been caught and they want us to press charges so they can put him on youth obdience course which means curfew, school informed etc but will not be a criminal record. They really want us to do this as he is very well known to them for lots of anti social behaviour/malliciaus damage to cars etc but they cant be proved. We are torn as we said we wouldnt take it further, but the Mum was saying she wouldnt blame us. Have decided to pop round and see the Mum tomorrow whilst he is at school and if they want us to do this so that the shock and the punishment may be enough to stop this escalating as the police said whilst its a bike today, could be handbag/car etc in the next year.

The family are really nice normal family and Mum was saying she doesnt know why he does it as he's got 3 bikes at home and DH said that there was PSP3 and xbox in the lounge etc so its not like he was doing it because he doesnt have anything, so do you think I am doing the right thing going to speak to his mum??

theUrbanDryad · 08/05/2007 21:28

you are absolutely in the right EAH - this behaviour has to be nipped in the bud now, otherwise he could be just another statistic by next year!

laughalot · 08/05/2007 21:33

Gosh eah what a day its really hard because he needs to taught a lesson but at the same time you dont want him to start recking your property if he knows you called the police. you know what these yobs are like they think nothing of chucking a brick through the window. I think you are doing right by going to see his mum though. Glad the bedding is fab I feel a purschase coming on.

Rgee your day sounds about exciting as mine except I dont ever seem to have two minutes to play aswell.

Wilks I feel better knowing im not the only one having shit nights. Little loz loves her steamed and pureed veg too tonight she shocked me though iv uped her bottles to 200 ml 7 scoops and she drained the lot .

Dragon hope the bites arent to bad and cant wait for the climbing frame pics.

Pcf happy birthday its my dads birthday today we celebrated at the weekend hope you had a fab day maybe we should start a when is your birthday list... I think as its your birthday eah should send you a brownie.

Lizz spinning was a bit crazy I have never done it in my life so felt very pleased with myself afterwards especially as im not the thinnest person in the world. Im going to go once a week and iv also started doing sit ups at home with the ab roller just so I can start and feel better about myself, when I had aidan I knew I wanted another baby fairly soon afterwards so never made the effort to loose the weight but now iv had my last little bubba its all about to change.

Ud all sounds like its well on its way for your bf meet up hope it all goes well for you and well done on the jeans, I bought a top from river island the other day and it was a size 14 I could have run round the shop screaming I fit in a size 14 put it this way its been a while.

MrsCarrot · 08/05/2007 21:37

ooh tricky one, EAH, definitely go and see his mum tomorrow, they may prefer to get him sorted out , but it's a bit weird to press charges if you said you wouldn't, but then, you didn't know what he gets up to at that point? I don't know, hope someone else has better advice

ellieandhattie · 08/05/2007 21:38

right mail me your home addresses to [email protected] no sorry cant do that because they'll all be gone and they are nom nom and I used tescos finest chocolate and organic egg/flour and butter so they are extra lush!!!!

MrsCarrot · 08/05/2007 21:41

and married life is fab, thanks, Laughalot, everything seems sort of 'right', rose tinted newly wed specs might wear off soon though . Are you really giving your lo pureed veg and fruit? Does he like it, just interested not meaning to start the weaning thing again, but I forget, some are a bit older on here, felix is only 3 months..

MrsCarrot · 08/05/2007 21:42

I love brownies, EaH, save me one!

ellieandhattie · 08/05/2007 21:44

hattie has baby breakfast in the morning and pureed veg for dinner (has tried potato, carrot, runner beans, sweet potato broccoli and caluliflower some on own and some mixed together) plus a pudding she loves it and squeals with excitement plus she has dropped her dream feed herslef so last bottle at 6.45 then bed till 6-6.30 yipeeeeeeee shes almost 18 weeks

laughalot · 08/05/2007 21:49

Hee hee mrs carrot it is my little lauren who is having the veg my ds is 2, she seems to be enjoying it she had sweet potato and your namesake yesterday today she had cauliflour, brocolli and parsnip. I love making up my own recipes I never gave aidan any dinners out of a jar however he did used to have some of the heinz mums own fruit from a jar.

MrsCarrot · 08/05/2007 21:53

Wow, that's better than my diet! We're waiting a while, partly due to allergies in the family and a lot to do with laziness . I didn't realise some of the babies were that old, but I suppose Felix must be 14 or so weeks, although I say he's 3 months. Where is the time going?

You didn't say you'd save me a brownie though..

MrsCarrot · 08/05/2007 21:56

I think I used a jar or 2 with the others, laughalot although I cooked for them as well. Gutting when they reject a whole batch though!

hattie2 · 08/05/2007 22:01

Tricky one EAH, but I think you are right to go and see the Mum.

LL - only 2 weeks to go till work!! Have been trying to sort out some work clothes and realised it's been 2 years since I wore most of my summer work clothes - by the beginning of June last year I was already trying to hide a small bump!

TheShopaholic · 08/05/2007 22:04

Evening all - trying to catch up again after another weekend away....you lot post far too often and I can't keep up

Mrs C - photos are gorgeous, am very jealous of how fabby you look when I'm still slobbing about trying to hide my tummy!

Need to go and skim through the rest of the posts - I'll be back

laughalot · 08/05/2007 22:04

Gosh hattie that has come round very quickly why dont you treat yourself to loads of new stuff.

Mrs carrot I feel sad that my dd is eating your namesake.
