Flame - ur spelling looks better than frizbe's attempt

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/05/2007 21:36

Aaarrgh - can't keep up. Spent all my internet time today researching possible holidays, only to have my parents just tell me that they don't think they'll be able to get the time off work to come with us, which we were banking on!!!!! Mum's going to check at work and let me know for definite.

Flame - his screaming that you thought was from his jab couldn't have been the onset of his herpes instead could it?

OP posts:
ChasingSquirrels · 01/05/2007 21:44

if he had it on 22jan and was born on 9feb, then theoretically he needs another dose, but they should send you a card for it

KelBelle · 01/05/2007 22:30

Flame hope your DS feels better tomorrow or at least gets the treatment he needs.

Phoenix, not sure if 13th tooth is a fang, it could be it is around that area. I'll have a proper look tomorrow. He is definately getting more teeth, he keeps putting his hand in and moaning and is flushed cheeked, not eating much and drooling lots.

Been to see a solicitor today in regards to me staying in this house, DH wanted to sell last week. Solicitor informs me I can stay in this house until DS is 17 and is drafting a letter to DH to get him to agree. If he disagrees I will HAVE to file for divorce in order for the courts to order him to let me stay here. Didnt want to think about divorce just yet but there may be no option as there is no point in waiting for him to change his mind when he seems set on the idea of a single life. He does not know my rights yet and I'm not looking forward to that conversation.

KelBelle · 01/05/2007 22:31

BTW - can anyone recommend any good reins? I want to get DS some, he walked to my mums today just holding my hand and I think he is ready for them. Not sure what ones to get though.

Flamesparrow · 01/05/2007 22:37

I just had basic "safety first" reins - DS would be a nightmare on them - he'd do the throwing himself forward going "woohoo! I can fly!!"

for divorce talk.

Jabs n screaming - he has done the same cry after every set of jabs

Looked back through the archives - the first outbreak was 24th Jan... I thought it was longer ago than that.

PhoenixGirl · 01/05/2007 22:43

for divorce talk kel. Is he still refusing to see a doc?

I just got some cheapy reins off ebay but not used them yet as he'd still rather crawl most of the time.

KelBelle · 01/05/2007 22:55

He wont see the doctor, I think this is it to be honest. I cant see how we can sort it now, he left almost 3 months ago and has made no effort with me at all so I think his choice has been made. Not sure I could take him back now though, I do still love him and I miss him too but how could I ever trust him again? I would need to feel like his number one but I dont think I ever will be I always thought the world of him until he shattered my heart by going behind my back and lying to me. It was take a lot to get that back now unfortunately. The longer it goes on the harder it is becomming and the less I am missing him. I still feel very down about the whole situation and as I say I do love him but I dont want to be second choice or have him here when he feels he has no other option if that makes sense.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/05/2007 08:18

Toddler daysack for reins here (think Chloe has the same one, as we both went for macca's recommendation).

mustrunmore · 02/05/2007 08:41

Well, only you can judge the situation properly Kel. It sounds harsh, but it really might be for the best, for the reasons you yourself stated. If you do end up divorced, its really not the end of the world, I promise, and it will all fade over time. Although this probably doesnt help you at all at the moment

No reins here, unless I radically change my mind with him being number 2. If I wanted a dog, I'd have got one and saved alot of money in the process No disrespect to those of you with them

I slept for 5 hours in a row last night (I think, unless I was so tired I didnt realise i'd got up for a wee!) [grn][ grin]

2boysmacca · 02/05/2007 08:58

That's the beauty of the daysack mrm. They are not reins but there is something to grab hold if if they do a runner.

Off to the big Tesco now to get some sand and something to stop whitefyly attacking my lupins and my laurel bushes!

Jelley · 02/05/2007 09:47

I use ordinary reins, but ds is really going to need them Ithink, so I'm getting him used to wearing them now. I've also used wrist straps on older ones (Sounds great when I'm out....If you can't hold on to the buggy and walk nicely, I'll have to use the strap)

Jelley · 02/05/2007 09:49

Does the daysack thing clip together at the front somehow? If not, don't they just slip it off?

Chloe55 · 02/05/2007 09:49

Haven't got the daysack but did consider investing CSWS. I have normal reins but they are crap and ds just likes to fling himself around on them so not the best safety mechanism for him really - still like the idea of the rucksack though.

Head still woozy but could have been much worse - really can't be arsed with work today though which is the first time since I started there that I just really don't want to go - must just be feeling that way out. House is a tip too.

Off to Scotland for a wedding at the weekend. I have no idea what to wear. I have a couple of pretty dresses but the are spaghetti straps and dh keeps reminding me that I should wear long sleeved stuff as my arms are my worst feature I am a size 12 everywhere but my arms are on the larger side, however, after watching How To Look Good Naked I have realised that they aren't as fat as I imagined, I'm sure of it and if I think that then surely other people must think that too. So, now in 2 minds whether to just accept the fact that dh will look disapprovingly but show off my beautiful strappy dress! If I'm confident then I will look good!

Chloe55 · 02/05/2007 09:50

Or so I keep teeling myself

NotanOtter · 02/05/2007 09:52

you look GORGEOUS Chloe and are 25 fgs!!! Get that damn strappy dress out and get it on! I am 39 and my arms are like dimples hams so you can compare yourself to be and feel fab!!!!

Jelley · 02/05/2007 10:15

at your dh telling you your worst feature Chloe. Agree totally with NAO. I am 37 with bat wing arms and wear what I want.
You will look gorgeous in your strappy dress. Who wants to wear long sleaves in this weather fgs!

mustrunmore · 02/05/2007 11:36

Why dont you wear the dress, but get a short crochet cardy to go over, then just take it off and dh wont even notice? I'm sure you dont have fat arms BTW . Although obviously I'd tell you you did if I ever met you, to distract attention from mine

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/05/2007 12:48

Along similar lines to mrm, I was going to suggest a light pashmina type thing - it might not be so hot in Scotland and you'll end up glad of it!

We are going to a Christening in Grimsby at the weekend, and the weather there for this week is decidedly worse than it is down here. Also have no idea what to wear. Not even any contenders, but both times I've attempted to shop for clothes recently we either haven't had time, or dd was ratty.

Daysack has a clip round the front Jelley, to keep it on.

I don't know what's up with Lewis today, he slept til 8 this morning and had his nap at 11 and is still asleep. It must be all the fresh air he had in my mum's garden yesterday.

Its my day off today and i'm stuck in now til dh's car's done. Its gone for a service and dh has took mine to work. Its been there since 8.30 this morning so hopefully it won't be much longer so i can go somewhere.

2boysmacca · 02/05/2007 13:46

Phew it's hot out there. Just been painting the sand pit. All the exterior has been done, just needs turning over tonight and inside doing which will take dh all night

Ds refused to come out with me and I came in and found him watching tv. He has learnt to turn it on, get the skybox on and tune into cbeebies

mrm 3.6miles (not 4.6) is 5.8km

Whilst on here, I have not noticed that ds has walked passed me, gone into the kitchen, got a stool, got himself a banana and peeled and eaten it. I have just found the banana skin on the sofa...or perhaps I had one earlier and can't remember doing it Better go and sit with him before I unnotice something else!

mustrunmore · 02/05/2007 14:11

Ok, so basically 6km. Right. Thats in my head now. About 37mins on the treadmill without dying in the effort?

Er, ds1 knows how to click on You Tube (he likes to watch all the kids stuff from my era!) But he found the Flumps set to Silence of the Lambs sound ... "Mummy, this isnt the Lumps..."

What colour is the strappy dress? Post a photo or something please. Then we can help!! I've got a black crochet poncho which might do the job as it covers the top part of your arms. But it might cover too much dress down the front and back. But if you want it, you're welcome to it. I never wear it!

mustrunmore · 02/05/2007 14:12

Oh, Flame, watch out for the postie

PhoenixGirl · 02/05/2007 14:43

Well Lewis woke up at 2 he's now had his lunch, nappy changed and sun cream applied so we're all ready to go out and is the car ready? Is it bloody hell I'm pissed off with the fact that dh booked it in for today anyway when he knew i'd have to pick it up and i hate going in garages men
