kayzed-well done to Roshi

Gave Sophie some SMA (5oz but she only glugged 3oz ish down) she zonked out immediatedly on her gym mat. Poor girl must have been starving the way she uh, uh, uh when she saw the beaker.

Mum and dad coming in a mo. Dad is tiling and mum and I are going to paint the ceiling. DH doesn't know so watch out for me on the relationships thread later.

Bloss-get you on the homepage! How do you do tips?

Better go-love to all and will catch up later.

HC ? do you think that you may have dented your DH?s male pride a tad? Serves him right for not getting on with it himself eh?

Happy 9 month birthday to all those babes born on 18 July ? what a coincidence that so many were.

Annie ? lol at being offered a seat ? I would definitely have gone along with it and taken it ? I still feel I look pg now and avoid smock tops for that very reason!

Bloss ? you are a fab mother ? you can tell by your tales and photos. I bet none of those parents even thought anything of you smacking DS1.

Impy ? tough decision about India uh? Have you decided what to do? And definitely no birthday party for me as we don?t have anyone to babysit. But I am on holiday all next week (yippee) and DH is off on Thursday and Friday so we are going to Chester Zoo one day (hopefully on my birthday) to see the monkey that we adopted for Josh when he was born.

Jeanie ? fab venue for your wedding ? looks beautiful you lucky thing.

KZ ? Josh definitely has a ?trigger happy tummy? (loving that phrase) when ill aswell ? although no puke for since Easter Saturday which has to be a record (watch this, I will have jinxed it now and he will projectile vomit his milk tomorrow!)

Pretty ? sounds like you had a good birthday and even better today eh? Enjoy your night out

Well, my mum sent me a text today asking what plans we had made for Josh?s 1st birthday ? hadn?t even thought about it fgs but I guess the time is fast approaching for us all eh? But still, I do think that is planning a bit far in advance.

Ceebee74 · 19/04/2007 19:54

Well ladies - guess what I did jinx it! Josh has just woken up and puked in his cot. Interestingly enough it looked like there were bits of grated cheese in there and I am fairly sure he did not have grated cheese today

IamBlossom · 19/04/2007 20:13

oh poor Joshie. Mystery grated cheese......

3rd visit to dentist today. Yet again, sat in recpetion while the 4, COUNT THEM, 4!!! analgesic injections tried to take effect, which they did not. The dentist said "I could remove this tooth and you wouldn't feel it, but I cannot drill it"!!!! Next step root canal, if what he could do with it doesn't work, for a filling that is the size of a pin head......friend had H, and had to take Toby with me, he sat like an angel in the McClaren and watched. And we are talking an hour here, with drilling and strange noises and smells and mummy in a reclined chair whimpering. He is such a doll.

No shouts, smacks or ugly scenes today. Phew.

IamBlossom · 19/04/2007 20:14

am still tip of the day. must be a doozy!!!

prettymum · 19/04/2007 20:21

hc- lol at your dh being not so happy at you for doing his manly jobs! serves him right for not lifting his finger!

ceebee- these babies love throwing up dont they?? is it really cheese he ate?? junior threw up in the restaurant last night after chewing on some poppadum and all his milk came up!

well ive had a wonderful time so far! went to oxford street, browsed for a while, met up with two friends who were there trying to find jobs. we browsed some more and they gave out their cvs and then we got some ice cream and sat in hyde park for a while. it was so relaxing and lovely!! going nandos at 9 but have decided to come home early and spend timw with dp, probaby get a bottle of wine too.

gonna go off now and get ready for that meal

Put Sophie in her new 6-9 month sleepsuit and gave her to DH with a beaker of cows milk and...............projectile curdled sick that missed her sleepsuit and nicely covered DH's trousers. That's my girl.

Having an Ebay purge tonight as 10p listing day. Have just had a fraudulent Email though-someone asking when I am going to send his money.

Pretty-hope you are having a fab time. Big hangover required.

kayzed-lol! I catch some of Sophie's smaller sicky deposits. You have a good time out too.

Bloss-Toby and his brother will have all the ladies swooning after them. Will be sending my girls down to get acquainted.

Ceebee-grated cheese eh? What has Josh been eating?

Graham Norton has finished so bedtime. Am going to attempt swim class in the morning as Sophie's cold isn't too bad.

Sorry I've only skimmed the posts tonight but hope CB's, HC's and Madness's (and anyone else's) LOs get better soon and stop puking/having chicken pox.

I just had to share this - does it rate as the worst smear ever? I finally plucked up courage to go (with help from Lulumama last night). The first time she tried I burst into tears and she had to stop. But I manged to pull myself together in the end and she tried again... and couldn't find my cervix. Then she tried again, and again and still couldn't. Apparently since being pregnant my retroverted womb has got even worse and she couldn't get at the bl**dy cervix to take the smear. So now I have to go back and see a doctor to see if they can manage it. As if I wasn't feeling traumatised enough still.

I have to make an appointment with a doctor and I haven't made it yet. Next week sometime I guess (more time off work grrr). I have to go and talk about why I broke down as well the nurse said, since it's affecting everything in that department.

Aww KZ - it must feel like Groundhog Day! I remember you telling me about your labours eons and eons ago and here I am still moaning about it. Actually I think today was quite a big step, even though it turned out how it did. At least I know, for example, that it doesn't hurt any more than it did before I gave birth.

Out of interest, do smears hurt you a lot when they poke around and do finally find your cervix. I only ask because when they were testing to see if my waters had broken they had real trouble finding my cervix and it was really really painful.

Now there's a thought! It's not the scraping bit so much (I always visualise it as well) it's getting the thing in and cranking it open, so to speak. Bl**dy horrible!

Thanks . I'm just so I have to go through it all again. It's character building I suppose...

Yep you're right. Even when I was a little girl I got told I took things too seriously I think that's followed me into adulthood - I must develop a devil may care attitude I think.
