Hmm see???? I'm now all paranoid that i smell or something!!!! Is there no one about? ANd yet tomorrow when i'm not about it'll clog up with msgs!!!! Again!!! (Just tell me, do i smell??)

HERE COMES THE THREAD KILLA, LALALALALA

(Ok, gone mental)lol

BigHotMama · 16/04/2007 22:43

What that smell???????

BigHotMama · 16/04/2007 22:51

Ha ha only kidding Snowboo! I think evenings are just not as busy as they used to be on this thread. Where have you been for the weekend then? Cant wait for our hols away in a caravan in Cornwall next Friday hope this weather lasts out so can tan my white legs.

Olivo bet your knackered sweety, the first day back is alwayts a killer bet you didnt sleep much last night either worrying about today, glad it wasnt as bad as you imagined, how was dd at nursery?

Went to my first MN meet up today with Nappyaddict, Jorla, Littlefish and Sassy. Was nice to put some faces to the names.

Snowboo · 17/04/2007 08:39

Hmm think it must be my feet BHM!

Must mean if i'm free in the evenings dh is neglecting me. Words are in order. Actually, wondering if any of you have had similar probs after the er...deed... shall we say? I've woken up this morning with a really bad pain in my stomach and side, feels like i've either pulled a muscle or it was a bit full on iykwim . Anyone else had this? Or am i yet again alone?

Went to my sis in Dorset. Was so nice being able to relax on the beach whilst my mum and sis took control of the monsters. Made me realise just how little dh actually does with them. Hey ho, will have to get my Rupert P-J pic enlarged and placed over a wedding pic as punishment .

Meet ups? Don't think i'll ever be organised enough to get to one! Still waiting to meet up with my aunt after 10 years , so theres really no hope for me at all ever.

grannyquackersleetlefuffychick · 17/04/2007 08:57

bhm - ppeople often tell me i'd love cornwall, i'm hoping one day to go there.

snowboo, sorry, this may be a stupid question, but who is rupert p-j?

olivo - what age are you teaching? i once worked as a statement support assistant with children who'd been expelled, etc, and spent some time in grainville and haute vallee (and the prison!)

hope evryone's babies are well and learning to sleep well! nbg - hope you're not feeling too sick. the middle part of pg must be close now, the only bit i like

ds still has no teeth. crawls around everywhere 'though, mostly creeping on his tummy.

i prob won't be around for a week or so, tomorrow we go on the early flight to london for ds's operation. i'm not sure if it will even go ahead, cos he has had a bit of a runny nose and not been as wwell as usual, even 'though we've avoided contact with just about everyone for two weeks - no nursery, no toddler groups, keeping away from anyone with colds - and he's still caught something. we've all been dosing ourselves up on vits too

will be back in a week or so!

Snowboo · 17/04/2007 09:34

Is it bad that i'm eating a huge bar of chocolate for breakfast?

What part of Cornwall BHM?

He was in Spooks, Persuasion, Charlotte Gray etc. He a fine specimen of a male. I could smother him in chocolate and lick it off hehehe

PinkTulips · 17/04/2007 09:39

BigHotMama · 17/04/2007 11:04

Lol Grannycrackers, I was thinking the same who is this Rupert bloke? watched spooks so will know his face probably. Sounds like you got a crush Snow?

Cornwall is lovely and this time we're trying somewhere different a place called Looe. Over the past few years we've always gone to either Paignton, Padstow or Torquay and with the bab we wanted to get a caravan hol with an indoor pool and a clubhouse on the site. I love the journey down there too, stopping off for a picnic at the services, god do I sound sad?

Hope your ds'op goes well GC, best of luck.

Its a gorgeous day and I think Im goign to go out for a walk when ds waked up, maybe trot on down to the park and feed the ducks, and pretend its the beach and am feeding seagulls lol.

eenybeeny · 17/04/2007 12:42

hiya as always I havent got time to catch up on the thread. sorry. How are you all?

We are ok, but yesterday we were told its very likely Alex has asthma and we have to treat him as if he does to be on the safe side as its very hard to diagnose at this young age. So he has an inhaler now. we are really sad about this and hope he grows out of it.

Snowboo · 17/04/2007 15:23

Aw eeny, sorry to hear that. If its any help my niece has it, she was prem and its not held her back. Big hugs to Alex

BHM, crush???? Moi? Mad as pants about him more like!
I've been to Looe, many years back now but it was lovely. You'll havr a good yime.

Nbg, how was the scan? Hope the monring sickness is eaasing now.

Snowboo · 17/04/2007 19:57

olivo, my comp been doing that to me all day!

dressedupnowheretogo · 17/04/2007 20:29

just on behalf of nbg her dad went into hospital last night so shes a bit upset

BigHotMama · 17/04/2007 20:36

{{{Big hugs for you NBG}}} hope your dad gets better soon hun x take it easy x

Eeny sorry to hear about little Alex' asthma, I'm sure he will be fine though and they do usually grow out of it, just imagining him with an inhaler poor love. My dh has had asthma since he was 18 but never when he was a child?

Snowboo where did you stay in Looe hun? We're going to Looe bay Caravan Park.

purpleturtle · 17/04/2007 20:45

Sorry to hear about your dad, NBG. And sorry the scan wasn't really straightforward. On the bright side, though, at least Ellis will be that little bit older by the time this one puts in an appearance.

Elijah rolled off our bed on Saturday morning and split his little nose. I just dozed off, and opened my eyes to see him literally dropping off onto a wooden floor. He's okay, and it's healed really quickly - the scab came off at bathtime yesterday.

PinkTulips · 17/04/2007 21:31

{{{{nbg}}}} hope he's ok and i hope you're not too stressed

PT..... it happens to all of them at some point and at least he wasn't badly hurt. i woke up the other day to a plop and a yell and found caleb on the floor next to the bed hope your nerves are ok now... it's always shocking seeing the blood isn't it?

eeny, i'm sorry about the asthma, like i said to olivo though baby asthma is very often grown out of so there's a good chance he won't have it in a few years. {{{{hugs}}} though.

got a manic day tomorrow, got to clean the house as it's reeking, have caleb's 9 month check and sarah's dieticians appointment as well as sarah going to playschool. i miss lie in's

btw, i forgot to congratulate/comiserate with you on your first day back at work olivo... hope it flies by til the hols!

OP posts:
purpleturtle · 17/04/2007 22:28

Second time in a week, mind! You'd think we'd learnt after the first time, when we left him soundly asleep between pillows in the middle of the bed, and had to do a mad dash back upstairs on hearing the thud and squawk! No blood then though - I think he landed feet first.

It's been pretty good for getting me out of my pit in the mornings though. Doesn't seem quite such a safe place anymore.

PinkTulips · 17/04/2007 22:31

lol.... he fell off again that night but i'm blaming the fact that i was trying to get to him and dd wouldn't move out of my way.

he's clever though, he slides off the sid of the bed and sits on the floor, only problem is he loses his balance and falls backwards from sitting bless him!

OP posts:
BigHotMama · 17/04/2007 22:34

Jackson's rolled off once and I cant leave him in there now, so we got an inflatable doughnut shape play gym and he can now climb out of that and I found him on his head other day screaming. Need eyes in back of my head nowadays and it can only get worse lol.

Anybody wanna see my profile I've added some pics

PinkTulips · 17/04/2007 22:45
