at all those teeth, pink! holly hasnt got any yet, and no signs so far!

well, last day of freedom today. did a trial nursery run at 7.15 and still made it to work by 7.45(only drove there and came home again ) so not too bad. going to collect her at lunchtime so we can spend the afternoon together but will enjoy a nice long bath this morning!very welcome after our 5.50 wake up call!! what time do everyone else's los go to bed and wake up? any tips on longer sleeping in the morning?!?!

olivo · 13/04/2007 08:46

enjoy your time at your sisters snow!

PinkTulips · 13/04/2007 09:04

caleb is still asleep

we should have gotton dd to nursery 3 minutes ago but i can't bring myself to wake him!

OP posts:
olivo · 13/04/2007 11:06

i don't blame you! maybe he could have a chat with holly about sleeping in? and i naively thought i'd have to wake her to get her ready for nursery when i start back at work

PinkTulips · 13/04/2007 12:27

they never quite do what you expect do they?

we have to wake dd for playschool but every other day of the week she wants up at 7.30

OP posts:
olivo · 13/04/2007 14:06

hey 7.30 is a sleep in!! if we make it past 6.10, we're doing well
can't complain though, she goes down at 6.30 pm without any complaint and rarely wakes in the night (uh oh, probably just doomed my next few nights!!)
well, went to collect dd so i could spend the afternoon with her and she's fallen asleep in the car! there's gratitude!!

Nbg · 14/04/2007 06:43

Olivo, we're the same here. Ellis is waking anytinme between 6 and 7am atm. Well tbh 7am is a sleep in.

I've been realy naughty while dh has been away and putting him in bed with me when he wakes around 4am ish. But it gives me some extra sleep.
The HV came yesterday and thankfully ellis has gained 11oz over the last 2 weeks so gone back up a bit on his centile.
Bless my mum and my nan, they've been trying to spoon feed him to get him to sleep longer and he's having none of it
Just got to keep giving him lots of finger foods.
Also had to fork out £12.99 for a bloody taggie balnket in a bid for it to comfort him rather than the bottle in the night.

Am still feeling sick and its pissing me off. I really do hate being pregnant. It sucks beyond all suckness.

BHM, lol at your invite you numpty

olivo · 14/04/2007 07:31

sorry to hear about your sickness NBG - i can recommend 'feel good cranberry and lime spritzer' and a good dose of chunky kitkats - no, HONESTLY, they do work!!.
6a.m start this a.m, dd coughing away. have been given an inhaler and a dosing device for her as she apparently has 'nocturnal wheezing'. they did say it wouldnt necessarily mean she'll have asthma though. she hates the face mask thing being put on her so i'm not sure how much medication she's getting.
am going to get my eye lashes tinted this a.m as a going-back-to-work treat; i don't do make up so at leas ti'll look a little respectable! had a hair cut on thurs but got a telling off from the guy for having snipped a few annoying bits myself, and also was asked why i wasnt having a full cut ( just asked for a dry cut to trim it as couldnt afford full thing). he also said 'was i going for the mumsy look?!. needless to say, wont be going back there - i hate getting my hair cut anyway!!

olivo · 14/04/2007 07:34

nbg - forgot to say, glad ellis is putting weight on. havent had holly weighed since starting weaning so no idea how much she weighs. but since she eats for about an hour at nursery ( they move her high chair into the main area so that she can watch the other babies who are long finished while she is feeding herself - but she eats LOADS there!!) she is hopefully getting enough!

Nbg · 14/04/2007 07:43

What an arse the hairdresser was Olivo. Cheeky sod.

Will give that drink a go. Am off to look for some preggy pops.

Nbg · 14/04/2007 07:43

Also forgot to mention that my scan is on Tuesday so all will be revealed then.

PinkTulips · 14/04/2007 10:21

HE SLEPT!!!!!!!!

HE BLOODY WELL SLEPT!!!!

8pm til quarter to 5 this morning, then til 8.30 in the bed with us with no yelling!

i sooooo happy

he's never going to do it again now i bet!

i can't wait to see how your scan goes nbg.... will keep my fingers crossed you're lovely and far along

olivo, even if she does develop asthma, they often grow out of childhood asthma if they get it very young. dp has it badly and he's actually hoping that if either of ours get it (and caleb looks likely) that they get it soon so they might grow out of it

Well done Pink!

Did anyone have a bet on the Grand National today? I picked number 35 and it came 2nd but there was no money involved.

It's been a lovely day here in Sheffield. Jack's been to a birthday party at a childrens play centre which is usually jam packed at the weekend. Because of the fine weather, the party guests were the only occupiers! Heaven (well compared to wet days anyway!)

What's everyone else been up to?

sarahlou1uk · 14/04/2007 20:26

DH went to doctors yesterday to see about snip so there'll be no number 3 for me (unless we get carried away before he gets sent for! !!!

olivo · 15/04/2007 10:04

yay pink! well done caleb!

another beautiful day here and i'm stuck indoors, at least till dd wakes up ( up at 6 again this a.m but sleeping now ). i'm supposed to be working but somehow my pc always leads me to MN ...hope its not blocked on my work one....

back later...

burstingbug · 15/04/2007 10:33

Hi everyone.
Joe started crawling on Friday 13th! Is that a sign of things to come?? He gets into the sitting position too. Lots of squealing and excitment from him. He loves bouncing too!
He thinks George is hillarious! Laughs at him all the time.
He decided he didn't want puree yesterday and grabbed half my jam sandwich and wolfed it down.
Still no teeth, but at least he finally mobile!
Seperation anxiety is awful, he cries everytime he sees me leave the room, not so bad if I sneak out. Daddy just doesn't cut it to settle him after I go, it has to be me to settle him
Still breast feeding, going to review it when he's 1.
Still no sleeping through the night, he goes to bed at 9pm, wakes at some point in the night where I get him out of his cot, feed him lying down so we can both drift off to sleep again.
George has his internal alarm clock set for 7 - 7.30 am, I try and stay in bed with them til 8 when I'm not working.

Hope everyone is keeping well - apart from the pox going around , NBG, hope the morning sickness fades!
at the babies sleeping through.

BigHotMama · 15/04/2007 13:56

Well done to Joe for crawling! Jackson started last week too and is still bit wobbly but getting there, maybe few weeks time they'll be speeding off before we know it! Oh and well done you on the BF, I really envy you.

Pink, bet you wondered what was going on with caleb letting you have a lovely lie in? Cant believe he has all those teeth?

Jackson got me up at 2am this morning screaming every time I put him down so I took him to bed with us, I hate doing this but someitmes its the only way to get him back off, and the neighbour above us ws banging the walls, ha must've woke him up! (Good! he does the same to us!)

Good luck for the scan NBG.

Good luck for your 1st day back at work tomorrow Olivo, am sure it will go better than you may think.

Sarahlou, I had few bets on 5 horses and none of them got a look in!

Yesterday afternoon, we went to my sil's bbq and ended up getting slightly tipsy but nowhere as near as drunk as my dh, is it just my dh who seems to get paraletic, he is 35 and cant seriously cant handle drinking during the daytime? He realy embarassed me last night, my friends came back to ours and we ordered a curry and he fell asleep hugging a towel in the bathroom? We got the camcorder out and got some funy footage to show him later if he ever wakes up?

Wished I lived by the beach today

Sorry for the essay!

melsy · 15/04/2007 22:35

evening

Sorry havent been in , have pox in the house and its gonna be a double long easter hols for dd1, 4 days soo far at home and another 10-12 yet .

Im hoping dd2 wont get them yet , especially going to New York in 2weeks and leaving her with dh , it will break my heart. Were hoping dh has had it otherwise hes incubating it too eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

Boobys on a mission with me online this evening finding cheap pebbles and oriental things for the garden , good to have a project to while away the days counting down pox qaurantine days.

Nbg · 16/04/2007 07:19

Thinking of you this morning Olivo. Hope it goes ok and the day goes quickly for you to be home with Holly.

at you Pinky. Bloody marvellous though! Did he do it last night?

Bursting, great to hear that Joes up and on the move. Must be lovel to see. Cant wait for Ellis to get going.

Mels, will give you a hand looking at garden stuff today if your about. I guess your still under house arrest

Am babbing myself about the scan tomorrow. Really really don't want to go but want to find out how far I am so I dont really have much choice. They've booked me in to see a consultant after so I'm ringing them today to tell them I shant be seeing him. The scan is enough to deal with.

PinkTulips · 16/04/2007 09:44

no

little bugger tricked me... he was up a million times last night and woke at 5am this morning and wouldn't go back down

sorry about the pox melsy.. we managed to avoid it i think, caleb had a few mystery spots but they disappeared again. i'll keep my fingers crossed for you that dh doesn't get it.

i'm very of your NY trip btw!

BigHotMama · 16/04/2007 10:26

Lol at you remembering everyone BBug! I read that in one breathe ha!
DH was still feeling queasy at teatime and even threw up, served him right the fool! But it did wreck our planned day out to the park for a picnic. Oh well hope the weather stays nice for next weekend. Hoping to go to a meet up with some local Mn'ers this arvo so should be fun!

olivo · 16/04/2007 16:26

Beautiful weekend. Hot sunny and boys were excellent!

Well looks like i'm officially bonkers. About Rupert P-J! Keep dreaming about him and to make matters worse my bf's bro got me a pic of him (he knows him) and i've stuck it over a pic of dh and me above our fireplace!!!! Poor dh is very tolerant of my behaviour i know. Only prob is he won't get jealous!!! Grrrrr.

One week til my big 3-0! (And my neph told me what we are doing hehehehehe grin]) Can't say as i feel bad on dh who has gone to soooooo much trouble.
